Clif - Builders Bar, Chocolate Peanut Butter

Ive been craving Reese's peanut cups for years. I cant have dairy and am always looking for a dairy free snack. This is a plant protein based protein bar and it taste amazing. Its not super huge on the peanut butter taste but its light and so is the chocolate. Not too sweet but perfect for a before the gym snack. The serving size is huge and with 20 GRAMS of protein its hard to say no.

Any chance Clif will consider offering both?

Why did Clif remove the vitamins/minerals? And why remove the real peanuts/peanut butter... now it's just flavoring agents? The chocolate is altered too. It's a whole different bar made to look like the same bar with a new wrapper. The blunt truth is that not only are the nutrients removed except protein, the texture is altered too into a cheapy feel with bad aftertaste - resulting in hugely reduced benefits from eating them anymore (compared to the pre-newlook bars). Those who didn't eat the Builder's bars before the newlook bars don't know what they're missing. Is there any stock left anywhere of the pre-newlook 5-star bars that customers like myself could buy? Or any chance Clif will please start offering them again?

Crunchy Peanut Butter Builders Bars are Our Favorites!

The Builders Bars are our go-to for protein. I like them for snacks at home, and my daughter takes them in her lunch for work every day. They are filling but tasty with a genuine peanut butter flavor. Clif Bar is so fast to deliver, too. I frequently order from them, and they have extra packaging for warm weather to protect the merchandise.

Function over Form

When choosing a protein bar, usually you think of a chewy sort of thing. One that gets your 'juices' flowing while you munch away. Not with Builder's Bar. The point here is to get the protein that you need. 20 grams is pretty good, but it would be better if it was enjoyable while getting it. The Builder's Bar has always been kind of a bulky, crumbly, too sweet, chew-a-thon. This batch is no different. Builder's Bar is not ideal for physical activities that need extra water onboard while eating one of these 'mouthful of crumbs'. It requires a certain rhythm and both hands free. 'Chew, chew, chew... drink of water... chew, chew, chew... (you get it). Anyway if you have the time and need the protein Builder's Bar might be your thing.

I have tried many Clif bars in the past, but none like this. It has a similar flavor to other protein bars, but it is much "lighter" and less dense. The peanut butter flavor is not very prominent, but it mixes well with the chocolate exterior. My favorite part of this product is the interior texture and crunch; it has a rice puff consistency and the flavors work well together. It is gluten free, low glycemic, and made with complete plant protein; having a sensitive stomach, I never had any problems with digestion. The Clif Bar Builders Chocolate Peanut Butter bar is an absolutely amazing combination of great flavor and quality ingredients for a protein bar. This is not the first time I have tried a Clif bars, but this was the first Clif builders bar I've tried. I have to say, in the past I did not like Clif bars. This Builders Bar has changed my mind for the better. The peanut butter flavor is just right and the chocolate is satisfying and doesn't have the traditional chemical taste like other protein bars. You will pay a little bit more, however, with Clif, you know you are getting a great product with it's flavor profile and solid ingredients. As with everything in life, you get what you pay for. I will be glad to pay the extra premium for this protein bar in the future.

These builders bars are a gift sent from heaven! 😂 as someone who prefers to eat their calories instead of drink them they’re a great replacement for those nasty protein shakes which can leave you feeling empty and like you’ve just got to get it down the hatch… so tasty with lots of protein and vegan! Amazing for any vegan or non vegan gym goers as an after workout fuel. Also perfect for a macro friendly treat/snack! The Builders Bars taste great and hold me over!

First off, I'm a peanut fan. Was sad that Tiger's Milk bars have been not so good anymore and was searching for something similar. This hits the spot plus it's not constipating like the TIger's were. The Vanilla ones are good to keep in a back pack and so are the Chocolate Mint. Crunch and the nut butter helps keep you full. I use this as a meal replacement or a pick me up to power through a long day!
