Clif Energy Bar - 12 x Cool Mint Chocolate (68g)
There are times when your body has high energy demands. With a mix of carbohydrates, protein and fibre, CLIF Bars supply working bodies with the extra energy and nutrients they need for extended periods of activity. Wholesome and nutrient-dense, CLIF Bars are formulated to steadily increase blood sugar levels without creating a precipitous “sugar crash.” CLIF Bars help people who respect their bodies and the planet to push farther with sustained energy when normal intakes are not enough. What is CLIF Bar? CLIF Bar is the original energy bar in the United States that delivers an optimal blend of nutrition for sustained energy for times when your normal intake of energy and nutrients may not be enough. When should you eat CLIF Bars? For best results, CLIF Bars should be eaten about one to three hours before activity along with water to prevent hunger and supply energy to working muscles. During prolonged, lower intensity activity such as hiking or bike touring, CLIF Bars can be eaten during the activity to help satiate hunger and meet carbohydrate demands. CLIF Bars can also be eaten after exercise, as a snack between meals or during a long, busy day to help supplement energy and nutrients as required.

I started eating Clif Bars back in 2019 when I was dieting. Since I was cutting back calories, I kept a bar with me and ate half if I got really hungry between meals. And then eventually ate a quarter, and then a bite. (Kept it in a plastic bag so I could save some for the next day.) When I was working, I ate yogurt and fruit for breakfast, but if I ran out or was running late, a Clif bar was my go-to. Since losing my job COVID-style, I have been lazier about breakfast and almost always have the White Chocolate Macadamia Nut Clif bar. It has 260 calories and 9 grams of protein, and it keeps me going until lunch time. It also has 9 grams of fat, which seems high, but the carbs are the problem (42 grams with 20 grams added sugars.). I generally believe that the total amount of calories I eat in a day is more important than the content, but that is from the perspective that I will lose/maintain weight, not that I am eating super healthy. I am getting a little tired of this flavor, though I still think it's delicious, but I just did some research. I think my next purchase will be the Fruit Smoothie Filled Tart Cherry Berry. It has similar calories but a lot less sugar, and I need to start being more aware of my sugar intake.

I love this flavour of cliff bar. If you like white chocolate and macadamia nuts then you will love this. I will say cliff bars sometimes are very dry and gritty but I usually just drink water after I eat them. Sometimes I will eat these an hour before a workout to give me a good source of grains before I workout so I have something to use as energy in my body. Or sometimes I split it in half and eat half before then the other half after my workout. These bars are like 230 cals I believe and they only have 10gs of protein so if you looking for a high source of protein after a workout I wouldn’t recommend these. But I still love these bars and this is definitely by far one of the best flavours

My daughter always keeps a couple clif bars in her bag. The cool mint ones are by far her favorite. They do contains caffeine, so just be aware of that if you are caffeine sensitive. She usually has one after school before sports practice. It keeps her going until she comes home for dinner. A great snack for kids on the go. A clif bar and a banana are what she fuels with before games.

I am 64 yrs old and have two to four a day, which may sound excessive, but I don't drink coffee so I typically have one w/my morning yogurt and fruit for breakfast, then another when I do my 90 min daily exercise (60 mins on elliptical, then core, weights), then one as a snack later in the day . . . and occasionally a fourth!
This is my favorite Clif Bar! Unfortunately, synthetic caffeine makes me jittery and causes some joint pain. So, I can't really enjoy them on a regular basis. But it is one of the best tastes I've experienced. For Clif bars in general--I'd like to think that the better quality isn't enough reason to pay so much money. But when I eat a cheap snack bar with junk ingredients while doing a workout or something that requires my physical or mental best, the difference is clear. Sometimes, it's worth the extra money.
These minty chocolate chia seed bars are so tasty and nutritious. Beats a candy bar any day. Recently, I haven't been able to find them local. So, I ordered straight from the company. The product arrived promptly and in perfect condition. If you are lover of dark chocolate and mint these are for you.
I have been enjoying the Cool Mint Chocolate Clif Bar for many, many years now. I use it before workouts and races--I'm a national class runner for my age (now 71). I love the taste and the little shot of caffeine. I have a whole history with Clif Bars where I would find a flavor I liked and then they would discontinue it. It was very frustrating. Fortunately, in this case, it seems I latched on to a flavor that lots of others like.
I have been purchasing Cliff Bars for more than a year now. The Cool Mint Chocolate bars are typically moist and tasty, but the bars I received from the Cliff Bar Company seemed dry, crumbly, and had little taste. This is not typical for the product, and I was surprised that quality came directly from the company that makes it. It was a disappointment.
I have loved this clif bar and had one every day for a couple years now. But they changed the recipe. I'm not sure what they did. I'm sure it was something to do with reducing the cost. But there are more bitter notes than before. Of course it's still a great taste that has all the sweet minty chocolate notes you'd want. But the texture isn't as dense and I preferred it that way. But it's still good. I just want the original recipe back.
Why on EARTH did you change the Chocolate Mint recipe? Didn't anyone actually TASTE it before you shipped it out? These have been my favorite for many, many years, and now they're utterly inedible. Used to be fudgy, chocolatey, minty and delicious.. now they're just HORRIBLE. I can't even describe the bizarre, awful taste. I read similar reviews and checked for myself, and sure enough, the ingredients are different. PLEASE reinstate the old recipe!
