All About Eyes Clinique

It's very rare for me to really dislike a product, especially something as innocuous as an eye cream, however this one (a Gift With Purchase), is now sat in my closet keeping all the other samples and GWP's company. I've used it about 4 or 5 times in total. Each time I disliked the texture immediately, as it just sat there leaving a shiny film around my eye area - which would be understandable if that shine was due to SPF but it isn't. This neither moisturizes, nor seems to have any other benefits, despite some good ingredients in here, such as caffeine, antioxidants and 3 different brightening ingredients. I plan to buy the full size after I run out. I love using it around my eyes to help hydrate and plump them up! I have really dry undereyes and these help hydrate and prep them for concealer. It prevents cakey undereyes by hydrating my dry patches there. I did take a star off since I have extremely bad undereye bags and dark circles, and have not noticed too much of a difference in that aspect. But it is likely because my dark circles are beyond help. The product would likely work for those whose dark circles aren't as bad as mine. I first received the original version of this moisturizer over the past couple of years with other Clinique purchases and liked it ok. I have tried store brand moisturizers of many kinds and my face still would be dry in the morning. And as I age my face seemed to be getting more and more dry. I saw reviews of this new and improved version of their signature moisturizer and decided I would give it a try. It's fabulous! I don't wake up in the morning with the dry flakiness I had grown accustom to! My face is moist, not oily. It absorbs quickly without a filmy residue. Perfect for the middle aged woman in need of a serious moisturizer that works!

This cream is the dense and rich cousin to the moisture surge hydrator I reviewed yesterday. I applied about a pea sized amount under each eye, smoothing the beige tinted formula in and around my purple dark circles until adequately smoothed. This cream is so decadently rich. I am in no way suggesting you spread room temperature butter onto your skin, but if you did, this is exactly what it would feel like. I do notice my eye area is slightly tighter, and looks a bit less tired. These are minuscule observations that I’m sure barely scratch the surface of what this eye cream is capable of with repetitive use. Ophthalmologist tested and fragrance-free, I’m happy to report that I did not experience any eye irritation during the course of applying and wearing this product. Like many Clinique products, this eye cream is designed to work seamlessly with your makeup. Considering the smooth, non-greasy, and hydrated effect it had on my under eyes, I could see why some might find benefit from its dual purpose as an eye primer. Taking a glance at the ingredients list, there are a lot of natural extracts at play here - Green Tea and Mulberry stand out to me the most. Also included are cholesterol (my new favorite skincare ingredient) and of course caffeine to help achieve that effervescent, bright-eyed, “I don’t work 18 hours a day” look we all strive for. With a clean scent I have come to identify as only “Clinique,” this is the great cherry on top to your AM/PM skincare routine. I might be a nudge closer to my fountain of youth

I strayed away from Clinique for some reason after using it for decades. Then I hit the big 6-zero. I always had dark circles but now puffiness was joining the party. um, no. I could handle dark circles with concealer but puffiness is unacceptable. I read a review that someone used AAE as an overnight mask. I also have these awful marionette lines, or frownies as some call them. I tried AAE thinking why not? It is making a difference! It also helps on alternate days with Moisture Surge 100H for my chicken neck! (sorry, I don't know what else to call it!) I am so happy to have found Clinique again!

I have adored this eye cream for almost 25 years now. Ive tried many other eye creams because undereye dryness is an ongoing issue for me. I just have to stay on top of it no matter what and I do with All About Eyes. I find it to be the most hydrating and it lasts such a long time. My motherinlaw had never used an eye cream ever and didnt even know that any old moisturizer shouldnt be used around the eyes she didnt really moisturize her face much either so when I mentioned eye creams to her she was really intrigued. I went through my mini stash and found All About Eyes and told her to use it at least every night, and preferably in the mornings too, just around the eye area and see what she thought. She said that typically after she applied her drops her eyes and upper face would burn so badly that shes need to use a cool cloth on the areas to try to soothe it. She told me that when she uses All About Eyes she gets NO irritation at all. She is really happy about this and so am I. So, not only does All About Eyes do a great job of hydrating and moisturizing the eye area, it protects that area from irritation as well. I also use AAE Rich when its particularly dry, like in the winter, but I apply on top of the regular AAE so I can seal in all that beautiful moisture. I highly recommend

Use it every morning

Have you tried under-eye creams that end up attracting your eye makeup and giving you raccoon-eyes? This will put an end to it. The All About Eyes came to me in a vision. Just kidding, it came in one of those free-with-purchase gift sets that Clinique is known for. I always try thing samples because new is fun. I started using this every morning, and when I was getting low, I purchased an economical size. I use a very small amount, so this giant size will last me until the end of time.Hey Clinique, you should know that your sample kits are a great way to get your product out there and increase sales! You probably already know that, but I just wanted you to know it's working ;)
