I have been buying this coffee and agree with most of the other reviews.BUT why have Waitrose increased the price suddenly by 37%?I know everything is going up but I think that is bit steep even for Waitrose.

This is definitely the best instant organic decaf coffee we have found. The taste is good for instant, but the best thing is that it’s organic so no nasties/chemicals, which is hard to find in an instant coffee. Waitrose has the best price for this item

I've had to cut out caffeine (hypertension) and have tried about 6 types of decaf. Most are weak and tasteless without a hint of coffee flavour. Clipper decaf was a revelation: finally some coffee taste! I highly recommend this to anyone who needs to cut out caffeine and likes the taste of strong coffee. If you like milky, weak, insipid coffee, this is not for you.

I am an instant coffee drinker and love the rich and toasty arabica. Wouldn't drink anything else. 2 mugs a day keeps me happy!
I find it interesting that so many people dismiss instant coffee. Actually, unless coffee is made from freshly ground beans, it is likely to be slightly rancid and taste awful. In contrast, good quality instant coffee (and Clipper is undoubtedly the best) is always fresh as it has been freeze-dried so maintains the great taste of freshly made coffee. I honestly prefer this instant coffee over any other, even most freshly ground. I think people are misguided in being snobbish about good quality instant and are missing out. Sometimes the simpler option is also the better one.
I mostly have fresh ground but sometimes like this as an alternative, especially very late nights/early mornings. This is a good flavour and no bitterness, a decent one to offer visitors. The price is reasonable and the bonus is a very useable storage jar
My usual brand of decaf coffee having been discontinued, I selected this one on the basis of the favourable reviews and have been extremely disappointed in the sample of the product I received. When I broke the seal on the jar, that lovely coffee aroma normally experienced was missing and the brew itself is completely tasteless. I will be trying other brands in future.
We have to buy decaf coffee for health reasons but so many are bland and unappetising that we were giving up trying to find a decent one. Well this Clipper decaf hits the spot nicely. It's a lovely medium roast and is hard to tell apart from the normal caffeinated coffee. Bonus point is that it's a Fairtrade product which I do my best to support. It's our go to cuppa now and happily recommend it.
Unfortunately, my usual Waitrose decaf coffee was unavailable, this was sent as a replacement. Was expecting something special but as soon as I broke the seal, there was a distinct lack of that wonderful coffee aroma and the taste was similarly disappointing. Will definitely stick to Waitrose's own brand in future.
first time I've bought this. Better than the Swiss behemoth's standard decaf, and in a more sensible size of jar, this is as good as the best decaf I've found. Whether it is worth the price premium is a matter of taste!
