Excellent thimble. Tried them all and this is absolutely the best. I have thin fingers and the small was too was a bit too small but I wet it with hot water and put it on and let it dry and it is perfect. Thank you very much! Also for the quick delivery.

Thimbles are a very personal item for sewers. This thimble from Clover Fitzell protects my finger perfectly and is long enough that I can use different sewing techniques for pushing the needle.

Design Suggestion

The contoured shape of this leather thimble is excellent. Also, it gives good protection when pushing a needle through thick fabric. The downside is that the sizing is off. I bought a small that was a bit too tight. The medium was a bit too loose. If the back of the thimble were made of a stretchy material like a thick elastic, that would solve the problem.

Finally a Thimble that Fits

I am using this thimble for art projects. After I work with my pencils for awhile, my index finger feels the pressure and hurts. So I began looking for something that was flexible and provided some protection for my fingertip. This item is perfect for this. To me the run small. I ended up with a large, even though I always thought I had small fingers and have a size six ring size. This thimble is comfortable and I am able to move my pencil naturally and forget I have it on. My finger tip feels much better using this. For sewing I am sure it would provide excellent protection because of the thickness and that there are no openings.

Finally found a comfortable and workable thimble!

I am an avid seamstress, cross stitcher, and leather worker, but I am not a fan of thimbles. I have tried a wide variety of thimbles over the years, but never found one that was comfortable and did not get in the way of what I was doing....until I found this thimble. The Clover Natural Fit Leather Thimble is excellent in the way it feels and fits, and it does not impede my work. I hesitated in trying this thimble due to the price when I had no idea if it would work for me. However, it is definitely worth the $! I am even ordering a second thimble as a back up!

I love this little thing

This is the cutest lil thing! I'll probably glue a little reinforcement on the inside. If you quilt as much as I do, the needles will push through eventually. It's so cute i hate to mess it up. I have very large hands. I'm a really tall woman so i guess I'd look funny with small hands lol. The thimble fits perfect on my right hand ring finger. That's the one I push needles with.

Medium fits forefinger perfectly

I wear a ring size 'P' (EU 56) and finding thimbles to fit my 'large-for-a-lady' hands isn't easy. I took a chance with the size choice and luckily buying the medium works for me. This is a great leather thimble, it fits snugly without cutting off the circulation and gives good protection without getting in the way of my needlepoint tapestry work. The leather is supple but thick. All in this is a great quality, well designed leather thimble, I can't do my needlework without it now.

These are the BEST thimbles EVER!!!

I love these thimbles! The ones I ordered are to replace my old one that were used a LOT! I was introduced to these thimbles when I started working in a bridal alterations shop; the owner INSISTED on using a thimble, specifically this one, when doing hand work because too many employees in the past had the "eye of the needle" end poke into their finger when pushing through heavy thicknesses. Truly, this is the BEST thimble EVER!!!

Fits and works great. Fair warning though: if you have very large fingers you may have to stretch this out with a dowel and some wedges or something. I have medium hands for a man and it's a perfect fit but someone with great big sausage fingers will probably have problems.
