Spring the couple extra bucks and buy this version. Its longer length lends to more opportunities for zaniness. My 8 year old has no problem playing this version. In fact she prefers it.

Good game. My brother still won, but at least it wasnt ridiculously fast like he always does in the regular version. We play with house rules, where you have to be in the room to make a final accusation for that room (to slow my brother down lol) and we ignore the spy glasses, because that just makes the game easier. This game was a ton of fun and we all had fun playing. Definitely my favorite clue game I own, even though I own the Simpsons version. I do wish the game had actual pieces representing the people (easily distinguishable at least, the colored pawns isnt very easy to determine who is who) so we can drag the person we are accusing to the room. That also adds more strategy to the game, allowing you to drag someone away from the room if you know the room, or ... MoreGood game. Got this for my niece as a Summer gift. She loves clue and her old board just broke from years of use. Figured this might be a fun replacement and I was totally right! We played it the night it came in and it was a blast for the whole family! The extra rooms, weapons and people made it take longer but it was just the extra oomph the traditional game needed to make game night more fun. I wish I had discovered this version years ago. I will be purchasing a copy for my house later this year for Christmas.

Great game for the Clue masters ;) I like the extra characters, rooms and weapons! The game board is pretty and the characters are drawn nicely. I would have preferred for more of the characters to be younger and prettier lol although, they are all killers so maybe they're not supposed to be likable... Also, I personally don't like how the weapons are big and bulky, although some people might like the bigger weapons...
I played this game as a kid and now my child loves Clue. The basic clue I always thought was very easy as there are less rooms and weapons. I've looked up how to get Master Clue in the past and it was super expensive because they stopped making the game. I was thrilled when i saw that they just started making the game. My family has played the game and have enjoyed it. The only main difference I've noticed is the notes page is different and doesn't provide any space to write your notes. All in all - very happy they brought this game back!
A classic- Great to have a 10 player version. My only gripe is the game no longer comes with the figurines of the characters which is half the fun of making an accusation. I ordered the player pieces separately from eBay because it’s not the same without them. This game is well priced and lots of fun!
I bought this as a gift for my husband. It doesn’t look exactly like the version I remember from childhood, but hopefully it still gives him that nostalgic feeling. Our kids also love Clue, so master detective is just the next logical game to add to our collection.
This game is so fun! It really is clue on steroids. Theres more rooms, more characters, and more weapons. The gameplay is slightly different, as all the characters start in the center room. So the slight advantage given to particular characters depending on where they start is eliminated. Now that more people can play, or the same number have more cards, its so much harder to figure out the cards in the envelope. Personally, Im still going to play with maximum five people and make the game longer. Oh and theres these cool secret passages that go to random rooms now. 10/10 would recommend if youre bored of regular clue.
This is just like original clue in most ways but more possibilities of who, what, and where the murder happened. We still play with two players because she's an only child and her dad works so much so it's often just me and her. We start off with one clue each, then we role the dice and whomever gets the highest roll gets a second clue to start with. With the rest of the clues we did it like the original clue two player option by leaving the clues in different rooms and collecting them as we enter. Since there are 24 cards left after this we do it either 6 rooms with 4 or 4 rooms with 6 cards. She prefers it this way even when her dad plays along because she likes the idea of potentially having more clues than other players by making it to the rooms before anyone else.
