This is probably the best bbq of this size on the market at the moment . It cooks steak to perfection and whole chickens are amazing. Sausage and bacon , lamb chops and chicken skewars are superb . This is my 6th bbq i know own and i wouldn't be without it now . I got this to take with us in our caravan and i will never leave without it . It can be used on ANY surface without fear of it getting hot . I thank bbq land for their promt service . Cant recommend this and them enough . One last thing this is a quality made product . Amazing

Bought as a belated "lock down" birthday gift for my husband. We are a family who enjoys eating outside as often we can. The Cobb has enabled us to cook with ease not only in the garden but on our local beach, when visiting family and brilliant for camping! We particularly like cooking roast dinners, marinated leg of lamb or whole chicken are favourites. We were amazed that such a small about of fuel cooks for so long, hours! Would highly recommend this light weight, easily portable BBQ to anyone. Cleans up an absolute treat in the dishwasher to pack away in its bag for next time, love it!

Just used this for first time, as complete novice to barbecueing (I am vegetarian but with meat-eating partner), and this worked like a charm. I did cover the bowl (keeping the holes clear) with foil to avoid a mess, but the grill plate and the bowl has gone straight into the dishwasher. Some are saying it is not a bbq -I don't understand that. I just did two very juicy quarter pounders in 7 minutes followed by 5 mins rest, using a cobblestone (which burns hotter than charcoal). Got a lovely sear both sides and used the dome to increase the the temperature even more. My best buy yet.

A superb outdoor cooker. Durable & well-designed. We’ve 2 - for meat & vegetarian dishes (having both eating-regimes in our family). We've also bought many of the Cobb attachments which provide the huge versatility. My 2 cautionary comments are: 1. This is NOT a BBQ! With the right attachments you can use it to roast, fry, griddle, steam, bake etc. But it’s not designed to BBQ (ie cook items over open coals) - and if you tried it would scorch the food well before cooking it through. 2. Without buying accessories this is NOT a versatile cooker - and the extra costs should be budgeted for.
I bought my Cobb a few years back, when Lakeland first had them, but from the beginning, everything I put on the grill-plate, mostly sausages and burgers, stuck fast to the 'non-stick' surface, burnt on and fell apart when prized off. Over several goes at it, I tried oiling it first, using charcoal as it didn't seem to burn so hot as the cobblestones, but nothing worked. Even the dishwasher didn't get the residue off the grill-plate, so I haven't bothered to get it out for the last couple of years. Not sure if my grill plate was faulty, or if it's worth trying to get a new one and try again.
I have had my Cobb now for several weeks and tried cooking a roast , steaks & a slow roast lamb shank as well as sausages, bacon & veggies. It is very easy to light and economical with charcoal briquettes. Whilst you do not get the smoke & flame effect of a traditional bbq unless you buy the bbq kit it does cook extremely well. A smoky flavour is easily achieved by adding wood chips or even twigs to the burning coals. If you want to cook "dirty steaks & bbq items" i.e over an open flame then this is not the one to buy, but it does such a range of cooking that it is a great buy.
# Lightweight and portable so ideal for a day out, camping, at home etc # Totally cold around the sides and bottom so very safe. Can therefore be used on any surface. # Cooking oil/fat is channelled to the sides so no flare ups. # Can start cooking almost immediately and continues for two hours. # Brickettes convenient. Uniform heat. Easy to dispose of. # Teflon cooking surface or s/s rack. And cover for smoking food. # Handy tools. # Relatively easy to clean as stainless steel.
Bought this as a present for my barbecue mad son. Great little product. Stays hot for hours on very little fuel. If you buy no additional grill or griddle, please be aware that the plate is slightly domed. O.K. for steaks, but sausages and corn have a tendency to roll to the edge. Very easy to clean. I wouldn't want to carry this for miles, but it is great if you don't have too far to walk from your car. Stays cool enough on the base to use on a picnic bench.
It's not the cheapest but is the best I have ever used, by far!! Meat is seared quickly sealing in all succulent juices! No more charcoal burned anything (my pet hate with BBQ's! Use Cobb Cobblestone coconut charcoal briquettes (sold separately) which are very easy to light and give enough heat for a two to three hour BBQ. Light them with care as they quickly flare-up and are ready for you to cook within two to three minutes. From veg, fruits and meats, I got such amazing repeatable results, I bought another for motor home travelling. Take it anywhere! Comes with its own bag so you can carry it easily to where you need it. Sea or shore fishing? Nothing can quite match freshly caught fish cooked straight on the barbie! It is a most versatile tool. Cool to touch base, hot Cloche that helps keep food deliciously moist. Add a little water or wine with herbs to the internal moat to cool things down and infuse additional flavours into your food. I am delighted with my Cobb so recommending the Cobb BBQ system to others is easy and just part of spreading joy of owning one to others!.
You cannot beat outdoor cooking and eating alfresco. This is an amazing, space saving and innovative product that cooks your food to perfection with very little effort. When there are only two of you this is perfect and prevents cooking too much food. Simple to set up and easy to use. We used the cobbs. My only slight criticism is the burning of the cobbs once you've finished cooking. Question: Can you reheat the cobbs after first use and could you use half a cobb if only cooking a small amount.
