Premium wedge from Cobra which has grooves that provide sharper edges that are closer to the permitted values. The grooves are also milled across the whole face and are further apart on the lower lofts (50–54°) and closer together on the higher ones (56–60°) to maximise spin and produce equivalent trajectories with the different clubs. The grooves have also been sandblasted in a special way so that the clubs will produce the same spin even when playing in the rain. Cobra wedges come in three different grinds: Versatile, Widelow and Classic Grind. Versatile Grind is Cobra’s all-round sole that works well on firm or hard fairways, making it easy to open the blade for more loft. Classic Grind has extra bounce and is best suited for those who swing down steeply on the ball. Widelow Grind has a wider sole for softer fairways and bunkers, and a bounce that ensures the front edge doesn’t dig into the ground.
