One of the more expensive Cole and Mason mill sets, but, oh boy, they're worth every penny !! The grind settings are perfectly accurate, and effortlessly produce the fineness or coarseness I want. The design means that the parts never come loose with use,( which is a very annoying feature of the traditional designs ), and it's great to actually see how much pepper or salt is inside the mills. On top of that the salt mill has a ceramic grinder which is far superior to the nylon type, and probably because of this, both mills have a lifetime guarantee, so what's not to like !!!

I bought a Derwent pepper mill for my daughter for xmas, but for various reasons, was unable to send it before the sale offers appeared. As a result I was able to get this salt and peppermill set as the gift and I have been using the individual peppermill for myself.It looks really good to put on the table, elegant but also easy to wipe cook's finger marks off. The mechanism to adjust the coarseness of the grind is quite stiff to adjust, but I have arthriticky (sp.?) fingers and I can do it without much difficulty and the difference in the grain is noticeable. The flavour of the pepper is also very good, but I am not sure yet whether that is better quality of the pre-filled peppercorns over my supermarket ones, or the way they are ground.

Good quality grinders, work well and easily adjustable. Delivered quickly and efficiently by Harts of Stur, with good communication. A little pricey even on offer, could perhaps offer better value if they were not sent in ridiculously over the top presentation packaging, with foam inserts and magnetic closure? More environmentally friendly too!

I’ve spent years trying to find a decent salt and pepper grinder, throwing money away on cheaper types. Did my research and decided to spend more on the Cole & Mason. I wasn’t disappointed. They work like a treat and look so smart. Would highly recommend.
I have only been using them for a few days, if they continue to work well for 10 years I will be pleased. The adjustability works well and is a great advantage for insuring optimal grind characteristics.
Great product, best online price and good service. A recommended source for quality items. The salt and pepper mills are very high quality and feel nice. No after use piles of salt or pepper still coming out like cheaper versions and the adjustable courseness is a great gear. Expensive but worth it.
Really nice grinder set. Grinds nice and fine or course. Fast and easy to use. Installing the batteries is a bit of a chore.
Not sure how to rate these, as I ordered two sets and was torn with how to rate them, opted for middle ground. The pepper mill on one set worked fine, the other one was very stiff and difficult to twist, (both salt mills were fine). Kitchen Warehouse replaced the faulty pepper mill, however that was also difficult to twist, a subsequent pepper mill was sent and that too was hard to turn. The third replacement worked fine. With the faulty pepper mills we had numerous people to have a shot at twisting them, thinking maybe it was just us and they all had difficulty with twisting them, including one who had arthritis and couldn't twist them at all.Kitchen Warehouse were very responsive with the replacements, however they did have to keep going back and forth to Cole ... MoreNot sure how to rate these, as I ordered two sets and was torn with how to rate them, opted for middle ground. You wouldn't think that a pair of goose-down pants would be *that* warm but these are. They're so light that you'll want to wear them around all day. I use them as "backpacking pajamas" keeping me snug warm on a frosty morning enjoying my cup o'joe and as a sleeping bag liner replacement on chilly or snowy nights during elk hunting season. They definitely add significant warmth when worn inside a sleeping bag, allowing me to use my 30F bag on chilly nights that gets down in the teens. This pair of pants is a 9-oz no-brainer in my backpack.
