This is my favorite stove. It is a little bulky, yet most other aspects out perform other stoves. It has adjustable heat control, a very large, extremely stable and safe three Finn architecture to hold your pot, cup, skillet… I have had zero problems with stability when cooking on the ground with this stove. I would highly recommend this stove.

Pros: Price, adjustability, moderate weight, wide flame pattern width, built wellCons: Weighs more than pricey lighter modelsMy daughter and I used the Coleman Peak 1 butane stove on our hike through Georgia on the Appalachian trail. We used it to boil water for our Mountain House dinners. This thing really puts out the heat and boils the water quickly. While the advertisement states it weighs 6.7 ounces, mine weighed in at 6.5 ounces. I will always be happy with weight savings even if it is a meager two tenths of an ounce. Everything worked as advertised. I would recommend this stove without hesitation knowing you can by lighter stoves, but you will pay dearly for them. If we had chosen to cook with this stove we could have because it has a wide flame pattern ... If we had chosen to cook with this stove we could have because it has a wide flame pattern thus dispersing the heat more evenly across the bottom of the pan. Small light weight pricey models put out about half the flame pattern width making cooking things like pancakes, multiple eggs, eggs and bacon, nearly impossible. This is the backpackers typical dilemma, cheaper cost (much cheaper) vs. weight savings. In this case with the additional weight being only around three ounces for all you gain, I say, "Go for it!"

For $15, this is a great little stove for heating up items using pots less than say 6" in diameter. Anything larger you're just being kinda stupid... and expecting a porsche when you paid for a Kia...I got an adapter that lets me attach a typical green propane tank so when I car camp, I don't need to use the more expensive propane/butane fuel. Everything packs into the box that it came with (the Lindor valve adapter assembly) so now I just toss in a green bottle propane and the stove... Easy to light. Burns hot.. and I don't crank it all the way up because propane tanks are higher pressured than butane/propane canisters. Those smaller tanks were meant for back-packing and if it was pure propane the containers would have to be thicker... so adding butane allows ... Anyhow... for the price and if all you need to do is heat water and do some light cooking... the price & size can't be beat (esp if you add the adapter and now use $4 canisters of propane...)
I got this little burner for a trip. I thought it would be easy for cooking in camp site. I was right. This is one of the handiest little stoves I have ever gotten. Just add a travel propane tank and your set. I put my cast iron skillet on it and it cooked all my hamburger patties evenly. I have also put a sauce pan on it and even heat. The best is my camping coffee pot. It's a keeper. I'm going to get more for my camper. Thanks Coleman for this handy little stove.
Honestly I’m really impressed! Very compact and super light. Packs up and sets up quicklyOne of my friends had trouble lighting his stove. I pulled my stove out and it lit no problem at all .Brought it camping and it's so compact and easy to use. Boils fast and I love that I would definitely recommend this stove to anyone. Love the features it has.
I love this little stove. It's perfect to fit in our bag for hiking. It's small and compact and lightweight so if we end up staying out overnight we have an option to cook. Easy to connect to the propane tank and cooks quickly. Holds a 6in pot easily and boils within minutes. It's sturdy and made very well. Going to get a few more to give as gifts
These stoves are cheap and waste gas. I have had msr stoves and compared to those these are horrible. The knob to adjust flame isn't that great of range, takes a lot longer to boil water and flame has gone out a few times in mild wind. Spend double on a better stove.
The stove is kind of junky and low-power but I bought it to scavenge the Campingaz valve inside for my Campingaz stove and lantern from the 1990's. If you break apart the plastic you'll find the campingaz valve inside this stove, you replace the valve in legacy camgpingaz products to use them with screw-in gas cannisters. The easy-clic ones are no longer available in North America
This Coleman Single Burner Butane Stove is an awesome little gadget. It's super compact and lightweight so it's really easy and convenient to take with you on the go. The only thing you need is a small tank of propane. This is great for camping and tailgating. The box is very small and will fit in a backpack without issue. You can cook in a small pan or frying pan on the go.
