Colgate - Optic White Mouthwash 500ml

I've been using Colgate Optic White Whitening Mouthwash. It contains 2% hydrogen peroxide to effectively whiten teeth by removing surface stains and preventing future stains. It foams up so you know it's working. It an alcohol-free solution (does not contain ethanol) so it doesn't burn.

This is a massive bottle - and it is full to the brim. My advice is to hold it with as little pressure as possible when you open it first time, over the basin. It came flooding out when I opened it, like a mini tsunami! I hand minty hands all day! I'm not complaining because actually all products should be full - not half full packets like almost all of them are. As for it's taste, it's not my favourite mouthwash, the taste is too gentle for me but it has a stronger after taste to the tip of the tongue which is unusual, and which I liked. If you like your mouthwash gentle this is for you but it's not for people who want a bit of eye watering strength like I do. Superb value for money none the less.

I really thought this would add some ‘oomph’ to my whitening routine. I am a faithful coffee drinker. Multiple cups a day so I need something that is really gonna tackle those stains, in conjunction with my toothpaste. I find it doesn’t really aid in whitening but it does do a phenomenal job in ensuring my breath is fresh. It’s got bite to it because of the alcohol, but not awful like others. Try it for the breath benefit’s if anything!

I purchased this for obvious reasons. I want whiter teeth. I really didn’t notice any changes in the color of my teeth. It tastes and bubbles in your mouth just like peroxide. That’s what you want, but it really irritated my already very sensitive teeth. I haven’t used it since.

My favorite Whitening Toothpaste I love Colgate Optic White Whitening Toothpaste because it makes my mouth feel clean and minty, and keeps my teeth as white as they can be. For me, I am a smoker and I honestly don't like the taste in my mouth after I smoke. When I use Colgate Optic White Whitening Toothpaste I get fresher breath that lasts for a few hours. I get less staining on my teeth from my smoking and cola/coffee/tea drinking

To me, a mouthwash is a mouthwash. I really liked this one for the taste but it didn’t do anything better than my usual mouthwash but it was on offer so decided to try it as I had some treatment on my mouth which left me unable to brush for a couple of days. I didn’t find the results any better than my original mouthwash but it was a pleasant experience. It’s a bit expensive for me

My teeth were whiter when using but I also developed some sensitivity. The biggest thing was my gums and cheek started to peel. As if it had eaten away at some layers of skin. Very scary! But it was like a film coming off like green bean skin or really thin onion skin…. Maybe even compare it to thin layer from warmed up milk. Not to frightening but not normal so to me scary. My gums also became sensitive. This was my claim years ago and now as I’ve tried it again this week. Maybe I’m just allergic to the formula. But personally I would not recommend this. Everyone is different you can try for yourself. I’d say if you have sensitive teeth or gums don’t do it. Not my favorite, but it’s a mouthwash. It’ll kill the bacteria in your mouth but Id rather have one that helps prevent and get rid of cavities. Whitening is great but killing bacteria is what you’re using mouthwash for. It’s not the greatest “taste†either. But if you’re solely looking to whiten, this is for you!

It does exactly as the bottle says and “Instantly whitens” after one wash. It also has a cool, refreshing taste that wasn’t too harsh like most mouthwashes that give you that unbearable burn in your entire mouth. However... I personally suffer from sensitivity issues with my teeth and gums, and found that after using it for some time my teeth went from a noticeably whiter shade to an almost blueish colour. It also started to make my teeth feel more brittle and fragile. This possibly could have just been a result of my sensitivity issues and the fact that my teeth were perhaps not suited to this product 😬🤷🏼‍♀️

Definitely a winner product! Way to go Colgate!

I like that I can buy this item in bulk and save money. Cheaper to buy three at once then one at a time. Also, the product works very well at keeping gum disease symptoms and infections down. Teeth are whiter and mouth is healthier! Happy with this product.
