I will preface this review with saying I am not a huge fan of hiking boots at all. They always just feel too clunky and heavy, not to mention they don't allow my feet breath as much as trail running shoes do. The Columbia Facet 75 is a super comfortable and lightweight hiking boot which really surprised me. The OutDry membrane did an amazing job keeping my feet dry on a snowy/slushy hike. The grip on the outsole was also surprising good over wet rocks and through mud. The midfoot was super roomy so if you are a fan of a wide toe box, this boot is a great option for you. I usually wear an 11.5 in other shoes and I believe this shoe fits pretty true to size. #BackcountryGearhead

I've been using Columbia shoes in the field for over 15 years now. These are BY FAR the best and most comfortable shoe Columbia has ever produced!! COMFORT is key for a photographer in the wilds of the globe, and these are 100%. Waterproof shoes are vital to my travels, and these cover every need. DO NOT change these - keep them coming and thanks for keeping me comfortable and dry. I am buying 2 more pairs to make sure I have what I need in the years to come.

Perfection! I ordered these just a few days before a weeks trekking in the Brecon Beacons, Wales. Comfortable from the first moment, no blisters, no rubbing. Why can't all brands make shoes this comfortable? They're honestly like slippers. They handled everything I threw at them that week. Wet weather, slippery rock, steep climbs. They didn't miss a beat.I have gone through deep water in them, covering the top of the boot thinking they would let water in, but they didn't. They also dry fast.I ordered my usual size and found them to be spot on.They are now my default shoe for walking the dog in the forest, mainly due to the comfort, but I also know they won't let me down, whether I find mud, puddles or just a standard track.Throughly recommended

Bought in April '23, this is my 6 month review. I have worn these shoes for mountain hikes, daily dog walks, they even saved my feet at Glastonbury! LOVE the Green/Yellow colourway, not sure where that has gone now? They are one of the most comfortable shoes I've ever worn and I love them. The waterproofing was the icing on the cake. I'm now here at almost six months of regular use and the right shoes has started to come away at the toe - see the photo. This is pretty awful considering the cost of these shoes you would expect them to last at least couple of years without this happening. I am concerned this is going to affect the waterproof-ness of them now, we shall see.
This boot fit me really well right out of the box and was super comfortable. The thing that stood out was how light they were compared to other boots I've used in the past. Haven't used them in the rain but they do have a waterproof membrane in them and I am sure they will perform well. #BackcountryGearhead
As someone who has consistently used only Oboz or Salomon hiking boots over the years I was very pleasantly surprised when I tried these out! They were so comfortable, I found myself not wanting to take them off after I tried them on. Haven't tried them in wet conditions just yet so I cant speak on the OutDry membrane but the grip is pretty solid on these. I usually wear an 8.5 so I found them to be true to size #BackcountryGearhead
Super "comfy in the breaking-in/street phase. Took 'em out on their first hike (in FL)... mostly flat, packed dirt, roots, soft/sand, mud, and they performed well! Small to medium ankle support (to be expected in a Midi), but felt good. Great cushion (went 5 miles) as well as on the rocks n' roots, and no warm spots or blisters. Great overall fit & feel!
This product is best destined for someone that is looking for a shoe for some occasional hikes and a shoe that it looks great (especially the grey / black version) for everyday and casual use. It is not the most technical hiking shoe but it works really well and it is very comfortable for both short and longer hikes. Its sole is very comfortable for walking both on and off trails and it has an excellent grip. The shoe is narrower than your average shoe so it may not be the best option for people with wider feet. I agree with other reviews that you should order your usual size (especially because this is a narrow shoe). I ordered half a size smaller but eventually had to return it and order my usual size. Nevertheless I am very happy with it!
I find that every brand can do at least one thing really well and with Columbia, it's their shoes. They just seem to be made for my feet. I was in the market for a new pair of hiking shoes/boots (a trip to Patagonia justified my indulgence) and the Facet 75 Mid OutDry instantly caught my eye. I currently have two pairs of Columbia trail runners and absolutely love them. One set is going on 3 years and it's been with me to Costa Rica, Peru and hiking all around the U.S. and they're still going strong. In training for my upcoming backpacking trip, I wanted to get something with ankle support yet nothing as "clunky" as a big 'ol boot - this shoe is the perfect hybrid. I have been breaking the shoe in and honestly, they are so comfortable from the instant you put them ... MoreI find that every brand can do at least one thing really well and with Columbia, it's their shoes. I can't comment on the weather/water resistance b/c I haven't treaded through any rivers... yet. But I'm going to give Columbia the benefit of the doubt and trust these will do a good job at keeping the moisture out. I'll let you know how these shoes hold up when I'm hiking through Patagonia!
Super comfy, lots of support. Bought these as recently diagnosed with Plantar Fascia and needed new boots. I do lots of walking as have a very active dog and I really enjoy taking him out.The waterproofing seems very good; feet have been kept dry through the heavy April showers we’ve had recently. On sizing - I was torn by the warning on the website that these boots come up big. I would disagree with that - would say they are true to size. I’m a uk 7 and I have pretty wide feet and these are spot on even with thicker socks - snug and supportive but no uncomfortably so. Maybe someone with a narrower foot would disagree with that as the lacing system doesn’t allow for much adjustment. For me, this was a great purchase, super quality and comfort at a pretty ... MoreSuper comfy, lots of support.
