These very well might be the BEST shoe I’ve ever bought, with the exception of the same shoe but in green I bought a few months previous! They are so very comfortable and are true to size. They are somewhere between a street shoe and a hiking shoe which is greAt cause I use them for both! The water resistant material works amazing as well as I work around water. The materials are high quality and the build is just so solidly done! I wound recommend this shoe to anyone!!

These shoes are comfortable but are a weird fit, especially the design of the sides and tongue. They are quite wide, which works for my 9.5E feet, but the tongue is narrow and thick, and the lacing system means you really have to cinch them down to get the tongue to stay in place, making it look strange. Over time the tongue still tends to slide around. These shoes are anything but sleek and streamlined, though the side view might give you that impression. In reality they look like hiking boots from a top-down view. I was hoping for a more multi-use shoe, from the bar to the trail, but this is not a casual shoe but looks purpose built for hiking. Again, grip is good, comfort is pretty good but the fit is just strange. Buying shoes online sometimes sucks.

I am only rating them with three stars because of the moldy smell. I really like their shape and they fit very well. They are comfortable to wear. As I mentioned above, out of the box they came with a really strong moldy smell. I left them in the sun for a few hours hoping the smell will fade but, unfortunately, it didn’t. I also used some shoe spays, also with no positive effect. I should have returned them but I through away their packaging so I had to keep them.

I usually wear trail shoes everywhere but they don't breath well so I decided to try these. While I suffer the waterproofness I'm used to with trail shoes, these shoes are amazing. They are amazingly comfortable no matter what I am doing. I work in construction and they make a great office and field transition as well as weekend activity slayers. The grip these shoes offer are unmatched, I can climb an asphalt roof or large boulder on a trail like spiderman. The only downside about the grip is it causes me to make a sound on VCT flooring like I am peeling my feet off the floor. So everyone at the grocery store can hear me coming and my boss knows where I am when I'm at the office. Otherwise easy to wear all day long with no tired feet at the end of the day.
I have wanted these shoes for quite a while, mainly due to the look of the shoes. I am very happy with my purchase. They are very well made, they feel solid on foot, but are also comfortable to wear for long periods of time. They can even be adjusted a bit with the lacing and used as slip ons, the back portion is solid enough that you won't push it down while trying to slip your foot in. The only downside would be that they are a bit heavy, if you are planning on taking very long walks with these and you are used to hiking, this may not be an issue. If you are going to use these for typical around the city walking for a long time, you may feel the weight. Overall, great shoe! Glad I purchased.
In all respects, this is a well-made, well-fitting, comfortable walking shoe. The arch support is perfect for a low shoe of its design, and the length of the laces was selected to provide just enough room for an effective tie without dragging on the ground. The materials appear quite durable bit light-weight, giving this shoe the feel of a sneaker while retaining the toughness required for traversing rocky terrain and forest paths. The outer sole provides plenty of grip on wet or slippery surfaces. Admittedly, I have had these for only a few weeks and time will tell how durable this shoe is. So far, I'm impressed by both its design and performance.
I have had trouble with my feet and severe pain over the last several years due to plantar plate tears in both feet. I have a hard time finding shoes wide enough without going to a wide shoe. These shoes are perfect for me, wide toe box, grippy heal, comfortable instep (no pressure on the top of my foot), with neutral feel. Ive beeen wearing Hokas, New Balance, and Birkenstocks with great success and now I can add these shoes to the list. These are my new favorite shoes and I have all three colors! These shoes are shockingly good!
I love this shoe and wore my last pair for three hard summers before needing to replace. I tried other shoes and find myself back here buying an identical pair because nothing else measured up. I climb on fallen trees, camp, canoe (water resistant and dry relatively quickly), trail run, and hike in these and they have been perfect for all activities. They have fantastic grip and are very comfortable. I have wide feet and these were a perfect fit for me. I can really feel the trail/tree when wearing these, but a hard enough sole to be protected from sharp rocks when off trail. I can’t think of a better shoe for stability + being able to feel the path underneath you. I suspect that if you do not have wide feet you may want a half size smaller. Very so-so shoe. Gum sole wears out super fast and is too thin for even light hiking. They are not running or trail running shoes either but might work in a pinch for short distances. They are a bit flexible for cycling but this is their best use as they grip pedals well and are easy to walk around town in. They should stiffen them up a bit and market them as a free ride / touring shoe. I would call them a "travel" shoe. Good for walking thru airports and low key fashion wise.
I have purchased three pairs of this shoe, one black and two green. I wear them all the time, to include work. The comfort is outstanding and they don't squeak when you walk. I know that sounds strange but I've owned many "high end" shoes/boots and most developed that annoying squeak sound while you walk. Trivial maybe, but the comfort and quality of these shoes is fantastic. I've also never been complimented on my shoes until I started wearing the green Fairbanks and now I can't go a week without someone commenting on how nice they look.
