After struggling every year to buy snow pants and yes I am a bigger guy and everything always being so tight, I decided to try these and I got 2xl they are very big and comfortable, I’m a 40 waist and I got these and they run big which I prefer. And they were almost too big. I loved them though, they arent super heavy, so I did wear some thermals underneath and it was perfect, super light weight and flexible. I love them and I’ll purchase them again before I go to any other brand.

I bought these for my boyfriend but neither of us were happy with this snow pant. I think of Columbia as delivering quality clothing that is also attractive but they failed with this piece. We were disappointed in the workmanship, fabric, plus, the sizing was off. These pants looked more like something you would find in a discount clothing store. Needless to say, these were returned.

Good quality of snow pants or work or play.

I love these pants. I wore them today on 2nd shift when it is colder with long underwear underneath with the wind chill temps around 37 below. They kept me warm and dry and they are comfortable. Unlike the other review you have to test them out in field. Just trying them on and not wearing outside in my book is not good. They also have loops for a belt to wear which I did and they made them comfortable. My size is the XXL.

Great!
20 February 2019

I had these for a few weeks now, XL, they fit perfectly. I’m 6ft tall and wear pants 38x30. I got a little room at the waist and the length is perfect. This is my second pair. I loved my first pair but bought XXL and they were perfect for skiing but I also used them for shoveling and walking my dog so the extra length and not always wearing a belt did a number on the hem, but they still lasted about 3 years wearing them 3 to 5 times a month during the winter months. I definitely recomend these pants. they are warm, comfortable and great quality.

Just what I needed...
12 February 2014

Since I live in an area that gets snow once or twice a year, I wanted a pair of snow pants that were affordable and dependable. Have worn these out in the elements a couple times now and have no complaints. They wear well and seem well constructed. I read some other posts about what they were lacking and they were true (no gaiters/boot liners, smaller pockets, etc). Although the posts were spot on, for what I needed them for it didn't matter. I'm not skiing in them and I wear some quality muck boots so getting snow inside not a problem. The pockets are plenty big enough for phone or what not. As for size issues (my biggest concern when looking around) they seemed true to the chart. I'm 5'9 180-185, wear a 34in W, and the mediums fit great. I wear some under armor ... MoreSince I live in an area that gets snow once or twice a year, I wanted a pair of snow pants that were affordable and dependable. I wear some under armor cold weather compression pants underneath and stayed toasty to 15-20 degrees. Definitely would recommend to a friend, especially at this price point.

Not the worst pants but certainly not waterproof either
7 March 2018

I bought these to replace my older snow pants but these were thinner and not waterproof as described. After using them out in the rain/ snow, I realized that my clothes under the pants were getting soaked through the material that said waterproof. They would be good enough to go skiing if you know you were not going to fall down a lot. Just know they were not waterproof for the rainy winter weather. Just keep in mind that the material is thin and you will have to wear something warm underneath if it’s very cold outside.

Not waterproof
27 February 2018

I bought these a few weeks ago because I was going skiing. I got a good deal on them, as they were on sale. But they are not waterproof, which turned out to be a problem in the snow. They also are not well marked as not being waterproof. You kind of expect that snow pants can be used in the snow. You might be better off spending a little extra money and buying the waterproof kind. These also don’t have the elastic waders to go over your ski boots, so I wound up getting snow and ice in my boots

Review of Columbia pants
19 March 2020

I am giving this 4 stars because unfortunately I haven’t used the pants yet.Delivery was fast. Upon arrival, I immediately tried the pants on and they fit well. The only problem I may have, is that the pants maybe too big on the bottom but that just may be because I am fairly short (5‘4“), but that will leave room for ski or snowboard boots.I bought these because I was headed to a conference, and I wanted to get some skiing in, and to learn how to snowboard during the downtime we had. Unfortunately due to the circumstances surrounding the coronavirus, my conference was canceled. We have also had a mild winter with not that much snow. I do know that I will get use out of these in years to come.

Terrible pair of snow pants!
24 November 2021

Can't believe these are actually Columbia... They look terrible, and the quality feels terrible. Tried them on once they arrived and immediately started a return.Do yourself a favor and don't buy these, they are junk.

Waterproof & weatherproof!!
20 February 2017

These ski pants are awesome! They are as comfortable as wearing a pair of pants. The fit is perfect. No short inseams like the other brands I have tried. I wore them when the weather outside had 35-50 mph winds and it felt like -10 degrees. My legs never felt any cold air. I walked through over 1 foot of snow and they were great as well. The only downside may be that there isn't protection (elastic) inside the end of the pants leg to cover your ankles. You can, however, stuff the pants leg into your snow boot.
