A boot I would actually wear

I will preface this review with saying I am not a huge fan of hiking boots at all. They always just feel too clunky and heavy, not to mention they don't allow my feet breath as much as trail running shoes do. The Columbia Facet 75 is a super comfortable and lightweight hiking boot which really surprised me. The OutDry membrane did an amazing job keeping my feet dry on a snowy/slushy hike. The grip on the outsole was also surprising good over wet rocks and through mud. The midfoot was super roomy so if you are a fan of a wide toe box, this boot is a great option for you. I usually wear an 11.5 in other shoes and I believe this shoe fits pretty true to size. #BackcountryGearhead

Comfortable lightweight stylish boot for cooler weather. I haven't had a chance to put them through their paces is slushy weather. I have some knee arthritis and these boot provide alot of comfy cushion. If you have thick ankles you may feel a bit of pressure around them from these boots. Well priced.

I've been using Columbia shoes in the field for over 15 years now. These are BY FAR the best and most comfortable shoe Columbia has ever produced!! COMFORT is key for a photographer in the wilds of the globe, and these are 100%. Waterproof shoes are vital to my travels, and these cover every need. DO NOT change these - keep them coming and thanks for keeping me comfortable and dry. I am buying 2 more pairs to make sure I have what I need in the years to come.

Fantastic shoe, shame it doesn't last!
12 October 2023

Bought in April '23, this is my 6 month review. I have worn these shoes for mountain hikes, daily dog walks, they even saved my feet at Glastonbury! LOVE the Green/Yellow colourway, not sure where that has gone now? They are one of the most comfortable shoes I've ever worn and I love them. The waterproofing was the icing on the cake. I'm now here at almost six months of regular use and the right shoes has started to come away at the toe - see the photo. This is pretty awful considering the cost of these shoes you would expect them to last at least couple of years without this happening. I am concerned this is going to affect the waterproof-ness of them now, we shall see.

Great boots and waterproof
12 February 2024

I purchased these for my son - we needed waterproof versatile shoes for travel. These are really great. Totally waterproof (even in storms and wading through puddles). And comfortable! My son is sensitive and particular when it comes to footwear (and wet feet!). These are now his everyday shoes (and his feet don't get too hot). When he grows out of them, I'll get him another pair. 100% worth it (and a good value compared with other brands).

Happy so far

I'm a day hiker and usually hike about 500-700 trail miles a year, and I've tried an assortment of footwear by Columbia and others. The Facet 75 Mid is lightweight and well-padded around the ankle and through the tongue, but the super-thin, super-cheap insole is a joke, and so far that's my only complaint with the shoe. Although I picked up these shoes on sale at a great price, replacing those cheap insoles with a good set of "sport-gel" insoles added about $20 to the price of the shoes, so that's the reason I give these 4 stars instead of 5.I tried these out on a 9-mile hike in Kentucky recently and I'm initially pleased with them. They kept my feet dry through several creek crossings, so the OutDry waterproofing seems to work fine, and I appreciated the overall light weight of the shoe and the generous interior padding in the tongue and ankles. Although the Facet 75 is a "mid," I was apprehensive about how much the ankle support I'd get from these, since these "mids" aren't much higher than a regular shoe. But after trying them, I have to say the ankle support is very good, as is heel stability. The lacing system is snug and stays in place very well too.The Tech Lite Plush is definitely lightweight and does provide good cushioning, but remember, I was using it with high quality sport gel insoles, not the thin, cheap insoles that came with the shoe. I'm very pleased with the AdaptTrax sole, which provided good stability and excellent grip over a variety of terrain throughout my 9-mile hike up and down several steep ridges, and the tread pattern was easy to clean afterward.Except for the thin, cheap insole, I'm happy with the Facet 75 so far, but I've only used these on one hike, so I can't speculate on long term durability. If the Facet 75 does prove durable over the long term, I'll consider it a good purchase overall.

The best hiking / urban footwear option out there
25 August 2023

This product is best destined for someone that is looking for a shoe for some occasional hikes and a shoe that it looks great (especially the grey / black version) for everyday and casual use. It is not the most technical hiking shoe but it works really well and it is very comfortable for both short and longer hikes. Its sole is very comfortable for walking both on and off trails and it has an excellent grip. The shoe is narrower than your average shoe so it may not be the best option for people with wider feet. I agree with other reviews that you should order your usual size (especially because this is a narrow shoe). I ordered half a size smaller but eventually had to return it and order my usual size. Nevertheless I am very happy with it!

The best shoes that I had
21 March 2024

You can see my opinion in the title)But I'd like to say that using round laces will be better than flat. The flat laces seem unreliable, but that's just the appearance.Super soft insole. I like it so much. These boots are as comfortable and soft as my old slippers! At the same time, I can walk absolutely everywhere in them. The membrane, of course, also makes a difference.

Veey bad quality, didnt last 1 year.
25 January 2024

Stay away from HikingMen's Facetâ„¢ 75 Mid OutDryâ„¢ Shoes, I bought them in March 2023 at Dick's, they even didn't last 1 year. Internal fabric and cushioning are torn and coming out, there is even a crack at the bottom of the shoes. They were mostly used when walking in the city, nothing excessive or crazy to cause damage. $140 shoes are in unusable condition in 10 months. All pictures are attached, I am a real customer.

Visually appealing, but with one critical issue.
12 February 2024

The sneaker is very attractive, but there is a sharp object around the top of the shoe, just above the final eyelet, that dug into my ankle and made it uncomfortable to walk in (or even pull the shoe on). I had bought the same shoe in a different color and had the same problem with the sharp object embedded within the fabric pressing into the upper part of my ankle. This was disappointing because of how much I liked the shoe visually, but I just could not comfortably wear them.
