Does the job brilliantly

Have used this jacket in a number of applications but currently on deployment in McMurdo Antarctica and have found ideal for an extra layer in my bag on days where temperatures are 'moderate'. Brilliant breeze blocker and waterproof. Comfortable fit and light weight.

Good jacket, fit could be better

I got it to compare with other rain jackets to replace my old one. I haven’t had the chance to test it out in the rain, but the fabric and workmanship look good. I do not particularly like the fit. It fits nicely in the torso and waist. But the sleeves are long and too big in upper arm area.

I’ve read other reviews that say jacket isn’t good I assure you it’s great. I use it in the monsoon season in Thailand. It doesn’t rain any harder in the world than there and you stay dry so I don’t know what these other people are saying but I’m telling you I love the jacket I’ve had it several years. I’m buying another one for my girlfriend fantastic other than it’s 60 more dollars now than when I bought mine originally ha ha fabulous jacket.

Light, beautiful and keeps the wind away

Used it on trails already and not disappointed since even when it got a little warmer, I unzipped the underarm and bingo! Enough airway to be comfortable.

Love this raincoat!
18 January 2022

I bought this coat for fall/winter/spring here in Dallas. It's lightweight enough to wear when the temp is warmer and insulated enough to wear when it drops which makes it a go-to. Great rain coat for keeping dry and the hood fits well over a cap which is a plus for me. Recently took it on a fishing trip where we had sporadic rain for 3 days and it kept me dry and warm! Great material and fits well.

Bought this 3 weeks ago. Looked like a decent shell jacket for the price, and I associated Columbia with quality. Boy was I wrong.I have not gone hiking, skiing, etc with this jacket. Strictly light-duty use. It's only been worn a handful of times between the house and the car and a couple times shoveling the driveway, and it's completely fallen apart. The seam at the back of the shoulder ripped, and the zipper failed, rendering it utterly useless. The level of quality is downright irresponsible. Materials had to be produced and sewn, it had to be shipped from Indonesia and then to the store, and now it's going directly to the landfill.Really expected better from Columbia, which used to produce some good stuff. Guess they've decided to plow their good name into ... MoreBought this 3 weeks ago. Looked like a decent shell jacket for the price, and I associated Columbia with quality. Very light and cool for the summer
17 July 2021

I brought this jacket for the summer, it's extremely light and the material is very soft and cool which is great for the summer. I presume it is water proof going by the material it's made of. It has 3 pockets as well which is what I like for my stuff I carry, keys and wallet, which are all zip up pockets. The lining inside is a very nice pattern which looks very nice, and has a mesh on the inside for the pockets itself.I like the rough and ready look so it's smart but not too smart, and the sleeves has plenty of room. The colour is nice as well. You might have to wash it so it takes the folding creases out and allows it to lay properly.Overall I am pleased with the jacket and happy with my purchase. Thanks VERY much.

Wetted out on 2nd Day
17 September 2022

I took this jacket hiking on rainy/windy days in the Scottish Highlands. 1st day OK, 2nd day completely wetted out. Needless to say it was a miserable experience. Got home (with it dry) and just put it on my laundry line and did a light hose spray on it just to verify, and it was as absorbent as a towel.

strangely proportioned
6 June 2022

The jacket is strangely proportioned: the sleeves and the area around the waist seem big but the arm holes and the area around the chest seem comparatively small.I do not know the particular jacket I received is defective or if this is how it is supposed to be, but the seam for the front zipper is not sewn straight and, as a result, when the jacket is zipped up, the chest area pushes inward and the middle of the area around the abdomen pushes outward.Beyond that, the material is heavier than I want for a summertime rain jacket.Given the fact that Columbia is going to charge me $6 to ship it back to them for a refund, I suspect this will be the last purchase I make directly from Columbia.
