Fantastic 3 season jacket from a superb outdoor clothing company. Very well made, warm, lightweight and comfortable. The 'warm copper/black' colour looks great. Very easy to care for being synthetic insulated and machine washable. Omni-heat reflective lining. This model (Powder Lite) does run a little large so consider buying a size down. Highly recommended, especially in the sale!

This range of Columbia Powder Lite jackets are superb. They are extremely well made and very comfortable to wear. I am a big fan of this model and have a few in different colour ways. This Powder Lite model does run a little large so I would recommend buying a size down from your normal. Great fit in the arms and shoulders without the bulk around the waist. Fleece lined pockets are brilliant! Highly recommended if you are looking for a great three season, lightweight jacket. Brilliant service from Trekkinn too!

Delighted with my Powder Lite jacket. Great quality, great look and very comfortable. This is my second purchase, the first was the same model, but in 'warm copper/black'. The only thing is they run a little larger than average. I usually buy XL, but size L is a perfect fit. Ideal for just about any cold weather situation. Also easy to care for being machine washable and quick drying (synthetic insulation)

Got this for my teen son. He's slender at 5 ft. 8 in and 125 lbs. He typically wears men's small, but this jacket in small was oversized on him. He was shopping for a lightweight, packable jacket for a backpacking trip, and this style was a tad too bulky to fit in his backpack with all the other gear. Good-looking jacket and feels like great quality, but we ended up returning it.
Glad I ordered the Powder Lite Insulated Jacket. Great insulation, with quality of construction and sewing perfect. Feels good to wear and WARM. The glittering, shiny interior is the one negative. An aesthetic matter, but I still find it disconcerting. George Richards was quite prompt with the shipping and it arrived when predicted. It is a good jacket for conditions here in New Brunswick, where weather can be unpredictable.
I was in need of a jacket that was both warm and light weight. I work as an inventory auditor and that takes me into cold areas of the store often during my work week. This jacket turned out to be perfect for my needs, as it’s extremely light and packs small and is warm enough to be in the numerous freezers and coolers in my workplace. The fit on the athletic side and is comfortable. The pockets are deep and offer plenty of room for your hands, phone or other items. The length of the jacket is great and sits below the waist and has ties on the inside to draw the sides in at the bottom. The color is true to the photo and is a rich darker olive color.
Without a doubt the best money I ever spent on a jacket. Recently moved to Colorado, knew I would need a warm coat, and was frankly a little tired of my heavyweight insulated duck canvas jacket that could double as body armor. This jacket was the perfect answer. Lightweight, great fit with sufficient tail length in a regular large to provide coverage (I'm 6'2", 186 lbs), and the Omniheat lining does an amazing job of relecting body heat back at you (in fact, I have to be careful to get out the door soon after the jacket goes on or I start getting too warm. Plus, I really like the collar that zips snugly but comfortably around the neck because I like something around my neck to keep the chill out. Finally, love the color as well. Last June (2019) I purchased the Men’s Powder Lite™ Hooded Insulated Jacket. I really like that jacket and thought I would like the non-hooded version as well. This Powder Lite (non-hooded) is pretty comfortable, lightweight and warm to about 15-degrees. Although the non-hooded jacket I ordered is a nice jacket, Columbia changed the design but did not update the product description to reflect the differences. The main difference is the interior pockets - the new version has two large slip pockets and NO zippered security pocket. In addition to the inaccurate product description, this jacket has chunky zippers on the external pockets, which are a bit rough on the wrists when using as handwarmers. The last issue has to do with the fit. Lately, I have been trying Columbia's "Active" fit as most of the other fits tend to be "baggy". With the several "Active" fit jackets I own, they do not seem to be much slimmer than any of the "Modern Classic" jackets I also own. In fact, the only difference seems to be tighter armpits with the "Active" fit. I recently came across a Voodoo Falls non-hooded jacket at a local store and bought it immediately. One of the attached images shows the two jackets together with the underarm section of the orange Voodoo Falls jacket showing the only visible sizing difference. Due to the Voodoo Falls being a bit nicer, more comfortable and having an interior security pocket, I will be returning this Powder Lite jacket. It's still a fine jacket - just note the design differences and the tight-fitting armpits if you purchase the Powder Lite.
The Columbia Powder Lite Insulated Jacket is awesome. The Omni-heat feature keeps my picky 16yo toasty without the bulk of a down-filled jacket. We're in WI near the Lake where it's very windy and COLD, but if the coat is too puffy he won't wear it. He is 6'1" with an athletic build (broad shoulders and lean). I first purchased a Tall/large, but it was huge. The return was easy peasy at the local BFF. The Reg/medium ended up fitting perfectly with enough room for a hoody underneath.
Nice jacket...on the thinner side, but seems like it will be warm. Love the thermal lining inside. My son loved that it was not a super puffy puffer jacket (style without the bulk). I read reviews ahead of time that stated this jacket is huge. Using those reviews and the size chart provided on Macy's site I decided to purchase a small for my son instead of a medium like his other jackets/coats. The small fit perfect as long as he didn't have anything heavy under it. With a hoodie it was a tight zip. Unfortunately by the time it arrived and he was able to try it Macy's had sold out of medium. Returning it and getting a medium elsewhere.
