I purchased this jacket for my husband for Father's Day because his old fleece was getting to be his gardening jacket and not presentable for going out to dinner. This Steens Mountain jacket is very nice looking and a good color for him. He likes the fact that it zips all the way down the front and that the jacket has interior pockets which are a good size. The outer pockets are also plenty roomy. I am sure this jacket will last him through many years of "looking good", as long as he remembers not to wear it for gardening.

My son had this exact jacket, and it was getting a little “well loved”. He wanted a new one, but it had to be the exact same color as the old one. It was incredibly difficult to find, but after an exhaustive online search, we found it at Gemplers! We were so excited to find it, thank you Gemplers! The jacket is exactly what my son was looking for, the color is beautiful, the coat is so soft. Shipping was incredibly quick.

I own this model as a jacket and vest. They lean more towards the casual side, but if you work from home, they work well in front of a camera. They would work well in a business casual environment.I like this color green, which is why I purchased it. Over the years, little details have changed, but the quality remains. You can wash this many times and will still look good and keep you warm. It also works well as a mid layer.

Today it jammed shut and I had to work hard to get my wallet out.Decided to return under warranty and was not pleased to find it costs $6 for return shipping. Charging for shipping if ordered in error or if I didn't like the color is fine. But if the product is defective it shouldn't be on the customer to pay return shipping.I've already placed a new order, as I liked the fit and function. A staple, versatile, frequently used item in my closet. This fleece jacket is perfect as an outer-layer or mid-layer. Price is great when on sale. I have multiple colors of this product. Nice quality (not super thin, has nice weight but not very thick), fits well (I wear medium, about 6ft, 170 lbs), washes well. Keeps me warm. Has two zippered outside pockets and one inside unzippered pocket. Only once did the main zipper separate. A great product.
This is my third Steens Mtn 2.0 jacket, but, the previous 2 were purchased about 4 years ago. I'm disappointed to see how far down the quality has plummeted. The jacket arrived with loose seams around one arm, and the seams on both pockets were not closed, so they in fact are not pockets at all. Lastly, the color is not applied consistently across the jacket. Its darker in some areas and light in others. Overall, this is a second rate product at best. I live in a part of the country where traveling to the nearest UPS location to return this item is cost prohibitive. It now resides in my dogs bedding so at least he is enjoying it.
In the past I’ve been a North Face guy. The two jackets I got from them were very nice. Recently went to replace it. They no longer had the fleece jacket. I purchased the jacket that they replaced my old one with. Very disappointed. It was not a fleece jacket. The materials were much cheaper. Quality was way down. Returned it and got a Columbia. It’s exactly like my old North Face. Quality just as good. Probably won’t return to The North Face.
This fleece is perfect for everyday wear and great for travel. Full zip front to keep the cold out, 2 roomy full zip outside front pockets to protect your stuff, 2 inside deep open pockets for boarding pass or whatever. You can easily tie it around your waist when you don’t need the warmth; you can bundle it as a pillow on the plane. Great for restaurants & movie theaters with cold AC. This is a GREAT jacket.
I bought this to replace an old North Face fleece that I never really liked. I always admired Columbia products, just never bought them before. I have been missing out for sure. The size is perfect, the fleece is incredibly soft, but good quality. The product is so well made. The value is just undeniable. I will be a customer again and again. Thank you Columbia!!!
