Comfy, but already falling apart after a few weeks.

Pros: Comfortable right out of the box. I didn’t need a break in period. Very lightweight, which is extremely important to me due to feet issues. They are legit waterproof, as I has tested that part already. They are a nice looking boot.Cons: One of the tie up eyelets already came completely off. They stain very easily. (I had bought the special cleaning kit, and it did absolutely no good.) The soles are already falling apart, and I have only worn these for a few weeks at work.I have only used these for a few weeks for work. I live in the PNW. I was looking for a quality, stylish, comfortable pair of high-top waterproof hiking boots that would work well in summer and keep my feet warm in winter. I also wanted a reasonable price. After reading reviews, I decided to try these out and I am so glad I did. I wear a size 8.5 in Adidas running shoes but I ended up keeping these boots in a size 9 (I ordered an 8.5 and a 9 due to conflicting reviews). The 8.5's were too small, even with thin socks. The 9's are slightly bigger with thin socks but are still comfortable.. they fit well with my hiking socks and wool socks. I just got them today and tried them out for an hour beach walk on a cool evening, splashed through some puddles and they kept my feet warm and dry. I was immediately drawn to the vintage pink, so cute. I would give these 5 stars but it seems I am slightly in between size 8.5 and size 9. Other than that, I recommend these boots. You could say I am a little picky, so that says a lot. Thank you, Columbia <3 I should also mention that my feet are on the wider side which is why I wear Adidas running shoes.. however, I did not order a size Wide in these boots and I still have enough room even with thick socks. I was hoping this would be the case since the vintage pink do not come in a Wide size. I hope this review helps!

I bought this gray pair of Columbia hiking boots after purchasing a tan pair of these same boots. I loved my first pair so much, I knew I needed them in another color. They are so very comfortable and cute! I typically wear a size 6.5 in shoes, but purchased these boots in a size 7 so I could wear a thicker sock with them. The half size up would probably be comfortable to most people, especially with socks. Love the look of these boots and that they are waterproof. I plan to use these on vacation this summer and during my birding adventures I take throughout the year!

Incredibly weather proof and water resistant!
27 December 2022

I bought these for hiking because I needed something to support my ankles. I was pleasantly surprised by how much more traction I have on trails now. I love outdoors and enjoy hiking, but did not intend to use these in the snow. Wore these to the snow today and am literally so amazed by how water resistant and weather proof they are that I am currently purchasing a pair for my boyfriend as well. We ended up waking through a ton of melted snow and were ankle deep in water and my feet did not get wet once. Amazing boots that really bring support. Highly recommend!

Lived up to the hype!
21 November 2022

I work in Outdoor Education and see many styles, brands and types of boots everyday on students and visitors to my school. I've seen these boots on students from nearly every group in the past 2 months and thought, "Heck, I'll try them...they're cute and everyone says they're comfy." WOW. They sure are! From stomping around in boggy swamps to hiking trails and working on a high ropes course these have gone along with everything. I'm of shorter stature and typically don't wear boots like this as they tend to cut into my ankle/lower leg but how these slope in the back takes away that problem. Note from trying on Columbia boots---I am a solid women's 7 in most other shoes except Columbia boots, which I have to size up to a 7.5.

Love these boots!
14 December 2022

After years of my husband encouraging me to buy hiking boots, I finally broke down and purchased these Columbia boots (in tan). I have had them about two months and I have done several substantial hikes. Verdict? I should never has hesitated! I should have been hiking in real hiking boots for years now! Specifically, these boots are warm, stable, comfortable and actually super cute! I bought my exact size (7.5) and they are perfect. I never had any "break in" period -- I laced them up, went hiking, and never looked back! I would give more stars if I could!

Nomad-tested and approved!

I love these shoes! I’m a digital nomad who moves every 3-4 weeks, and I like to do a lot of outdoor activities wherever I’m at. So I need a shoe that can handle a variety of terrain and weather. These shoes are it!! These shoes have tackled the cliffs of Gozo, the snowy trails of the Königsee in February, the forests and the water-laden tunnels of Madeira, etc., not to mention plenty of airports and cities because I wear them when I travel. Long story short: They're great “all-purpose” hiking shoes.Getting down to technicals, these shoes do have less cushion/drop, which I personally like as someone who has worn low-drop shoes for years now. They also offer light ankle support without being super heavy or rigid. (I considered a Salomon hiking boot before finding these, but it was way too clunky and confining for my taste). Waterproof-wise these hold up like a champ 9/10 times. Of course, you’ve got a limited depth of water you can go in and I wouldn’t simply stand in a stream for hours, but they’ve held up really well in river crossings, standing water, marshland and even medium-snow.

Sturdy, Hardworking and So Cute
21 March 2023

Bought these for geology field work (and my own personal hiking time, obviously), the soles hold up well to volcanic tuff and other rough terrain. There is extra room in the toes for ease on inclines and slopes. Breaking them in was easy. They were flexible and comfortable the first time I put them on. The ankle support provided is sturdy and held my week ankles well. I love the color, especially the fuchsia laces. So cute. Though, I have not yet had the opportunity to test them against water.

Versatile, Comfortable Boots
18 August 2022

I bought a pair of these before a July trip to Iceland. So comfortable with the extra padding and roomy toe box. And they lived up to their waterproof rating in rainy Iceland. Great grip and support on the trail. I wore them on a glacier tour with silk sock liners under wool socks and my feet were nice and warm, and plenty of room for the thicker wool socks with the roomy toe box. I wore them on the flight to Iceland with lighter-weight socks (bombas) and my feet were not too hot. I wore them walking on hardscape around Reyjavik and they were comfortable all day. All this from a light weight boot. I liked them so much that when I got back from the trip I bought another pair. I wear an 8.5 and my feet are standard width. I found them true to size.

What fun these are to wear
8 February 2023

I have problems with many types of shoes due to my ankle/foot injuries and previous surgery. But still need excellent hiking shoes with support to keep from making my chronic condition worse. My husband found them and bought them for me. These do the trick when I accompany my husband on light-medium walks/hikes. Very comfortable and stable with good traction. I sometimes wear 7.5 and 8 depending upon the shoe. Definitely needed an 8 in these. And my favorite part is the color!! So fun to wear.
