A light hiker that finally fits the arch

And because they are on sale, I'm ordering a second pair for a Christmas present.

Beautiful design but issues with quality

I really liked the design and the reviews were very promising in terms of quality. Though when I started wearing these shoes I can not say I was very happy. The first thing is that they sit in a bit of an awkward way - feels like my feet need to adjust to them, not vice versa. Especially in that quite rigid upper part of the shoes. But the most disappointing was that my feet, which usually never sweat, become literally wet in a few minutes, even in a cold weather. It gives me a feeling that the material and overall design just doesn't allow skin to breathe. Probably in a warm weather it will be even worse. So based on that I'd return this pair if I haven't started wearing them yet:( Also bear in mind that they are a bit undersized. Pros: Comfortable right out of the box. I didn’t need a break in period. Very lightweight, which is extremely important to me due to feet issues. They are legit waterproof, as I has tested that part already. They are a nice looking boot.Cons: One of the tie up eyelets already came completely off. They stain very easily. (I had bought the special cleaning kit, and it did absolutely no good.) The soles are already falling apart, and I have only worn these for a few weeks at work.I have only used these for a few weeks for work. (I am a delivery driver, so in all fairness, I am hard on shoes because I wear them 10-14 hours a day, going over all types of terrain. With that being said, no show that costs 100 should last for only 3 weeks. Unacceptable in my opinion. I ... MorePros: Comfortable right out of the box. I didn’t need a break in period. Everything I wanted in a waterproof boot.. I wear size 8.5 in Adidas running shoes but kept these boots in a size 9..
19 March 2023

I live in the PNW. I was looking for a quality, stylish, comfortable pair of high-top waterproof hiking boots that would work well in summer and keep my feet warm in winter. I also wanted a reasonable price. After reading reviews, I decided to try these out and I am so glad I did. I wear a size 8.5 in Adidas running shoes but I ended up keeping these boots in a size 9 (I ordered an 8.5 and a 9 due to conflicting reviews). The 8.5's were too small, even with thin socks. The 9's are slightly bigger with thin socks but are still comfortable.. they fit well with my hiking socks and wool socks. I just got them today and tried them out for an hour beach walk on a cool evening, splashed through some puddles and they kept my feet warm and dry. I was immediately drawn to the vintage pink, so cute. I would give these 5 stars but it seems I am slightly in between size 8.5 and size 9. Other than that, I recommend these boots. You could say I am a little picky, so that says a lot. Thank you, Columbia <3 I should also mention that my feet are on the wider side which is why I wear Adidas running shoes.. however, I did not order a size Wide in these boots and I still have enough room even with thick socks. I was hoping this would be the case since the vintage pink do not come in a Wide size. I hope this review helps!

Excellent Boots
15 January 2023

I bought this gray pair of Columbia hiking boots after purchasing a tan pair of these same boots. I loved my first pair so much, I knew I needed them in another color. They are so very comfortable and cute! I typically wear a size 6.5 in shoes, but purchased these boots in a size 7 so I could wear a thicker sock with them. The half size up would probably be comfortable to most people, especially with socks. Love the look of these boots and that they are waterproof. I plan to use these on vacation this summer and during my birding adventures I take throughout the year!

Great, with a caveat! Pinch those top lace guides closed if you do not use them!!

I love these boots. I find they fit and feel like good quality tennis shoes. I have 3 pairs because they fit well and are comfortable and wear much better than tennis shoes. I should mention though as someone else pointed out, if you do not use the top lace guides push them closed with pliers!! This is very important!! I also was tripped by the loop of the lace on the right foot catching in the eye on the inside of the left boot. (I do not use the top lace guides) I slip my feet into my boots without lacing each time so I have them loose at the ankle. I do not need the ankle support, but I like that they are tall for keeping water out of the boot and ankle protection. I waterproof them with silicone to protect them and they have always kept my feet dry in wet ... MoreI love these boots. I find they fit and feel like good quality tennis shoes. That is what size I wear in tennis shoes. I also have a pair of 8.5 to wear with medium socks. I recently bought a pair of 9's to wear with really heavy socks. I do replace the stock insoles with more padded ones and they fit fine. I have somewhat wide feet and often purchase wide shoes, but the regular width on these fits me fine.

Lived up to the hype!
21 November 2022

I work in Outdoor Education and see many styles, brands and types of boots everyday on students and visitors to my school. I've seen these boots on students from nearly every group in the past 2 months and thought, "Heck, I'll try them...they're cute and everyone says they're comfy." WOW. They sure are! From stomping around in boggy swamps to hiking trails and working on a high ropes course these have gone along with everything. I'm of shorter stature and typically don't wear boots like this as they tend to cut into my ankle/lower leg but how these slope in the back takes away that problem. Note from trying on Columbia boots---I am a solid women's 7 in most other shoes except Columbia boots, which I have to size up to a 7.5.

Nomad-tested and approved!

I love these shoes! I’m a digital nomad who moves every 3-4 weeks, and I like to do a lot of outdoor activities wherever I’m at. So I need a shoe that can handle a variety of terrain and weather. These shoes are it!! These shoes have tackled the cliffs of Gozo, the snowy trails of the Königsee in February, the forests and the water-laden tunnels of Madeira, etc., not to mention plenty of airports and cities because I wear them when I travel. Long story short: They're great “all-purpose” hiking shoes.Getting down to technicals, these shoes do have less cushion/drop, which I personally like as someone who has worn low-drop shoes for years now. Waterproof-wise these hold up like a champ 9/10 times. Of course, you’ve got a limited depth of water you can go in and I wouldn’t simply stand in a stream for hours, but they’ve held up really well in river crossings, standing water, marshland and even medium-snow.

Over 75 miles and still going strong!
14 December 2022

I bought these a year ago and have hiked over 75 miles in these so far, so I feel like I can give an accurate review. These boots are my favorite! They're light, they're sturdy, they're water proof, and most important, they're comfortable! I've hiked over 75 miles in these over the last year and they're still going strong! I've worn them through the rainy spring, the hot summer, and even done some snow hiking in these (both with and without snowshoes). They're perfect for everything. When this pair wears out, I won't hesitate to get another. I seriously love them so much!

The ultimate hiking boot for New England hikers. Lightweight, durable and long lasting support.
23 September 2022

These are the best hiking boots I've ever owned! I live in NH and am always up in the white mountains, these boots can handle every kind of trail condition I've come across (minus winter). My first pair, I put around 200 miles on. They are still comfortable, but the tred and support was no longer fit for hiking. I'm on my second pair now amd have been enjoying them all summer and they easily have this fall and next spring left in them (and I hike just about every weekend). I just ordered a 3rd pair when they went on sale to keep for next year, but they are worth every penny. Honestly feels like a steal.
