I am very happy with the command hanging strips. I had 6 8x10", 2 5x8", and 1 8x8" frame to hang on a wall. I had never used the hanging strips before but went ahead and bought several boxes of the medium strips in black. I chose black because my walls are pink and the frames are black. They were so easy to use. I followed the directions to a T and waited an hour to hang the pictures up after securing the strips to the wall. This was several weeks ago, and my pictures have stayed in place with no issues. I did end up moving some pictures around, and removing the strip adhesive from the wall (per the instructions) was easy and no paint was damaged. I tried all types of tape for keeping photos on my wall. The next day -- they were on the ground. I tried these and they have all stayed up. They're easy to use with the little tab which also keeps them easy to remove later.

Very good product. They changed the adhesive formulation from the original and in some cases it leaves a residue on certain surfaces. Really annoying. Overall such a great product, wish they would innovate on bringing the price down.

I use for all my 30+ frames. Use simple logic when using. 12 lb rating as in 3 lbs per strip. 4 corners of frame, even when light. There is such things as gravity. 4 corners is necessary.These are not used for power strips. Power strips have the tug of the power cord, plus the hanging weight of the other plugs. If I were to use these for a power strip; and I wouldnt; I would have used it vertically and not horizontally.When used right, they work FANTASTIC!!!
My husband has a fit when I want to hang things in my closet on the walls. He is opposed to most types of tape and fears anything that would ruin the paint. These were a great solution for me. Things stay on the wall and there has been no damage to the painted surface. The only downside to me is that they are fairly expensive.
These things work BUT I would be wary of the directions. After attaching your item to the wall, hold down the areas where the strips are for 30 seconds then LEAVE IT. I know the directions say remove the frame and let the strip that is glued to the wall stay in order to increase the adhesiveness of the strip BUT I have found that when I do that, I have to come back and push down the corners of my items where the strips are because they come off the wall. SO -- I would highly suggest that once you stick your item to the wall, hold it down for 30 seconds and then just leave it. If the strips don't stay stuck, it because the item was too heavy for the strips used. Either use more strips are get ones that can hold that weight.
These velcro command strips are awesome! I have used them at school, home and work. They are very versatile for different size and weighted items. I also have never seen them cause damage which is a HUGE plus!
Wow, I use these to hang everything now. I use these particular ones because if you ever want to move the item, you simply uncling the frame and then you have room to peel the sticky part off. I hang pictures, dry erase boards (small), pin boards--everything. They stick very well and keep everything nice and flat against the wall. The added bonus with these is that what you hang does not rock or shift when you write on it such as a dry erase board because it is firmly attached to the wall. These are definitely a bit expensive though so I only ever buy them on sale and with a coupon.
I love this brand for hanging pictures and other things, however on the picture strips, at least, the weight designations are confusing and not consistent. For example, this package says "12 lb" however the specs say "3 lb" and it is not clear if that is for one strip or two strips. Either way, 6 pairs x 3 = 18, 12 strips x 3 = 36. Nothing adds up. This is true for all of these products, although I noticed on one of the large strips packages, the numbers did multiply to equal the package labeling.
These strips are perfect for damage free hanging of pictures and other decorations that are within the weight limit specified on the package. Some people think that they cause damage, but I have seen many people cause the damage themselves because they remove them improperly. You must pull the tab straight down, keeping it very close to the wall as you pull down. People cause damage when they pull out from the wall (towards themselves rather than towards the floor).
