Everything in my apartment is hung with Command hooks, wether it be canvas, picture frames, and yes even my pot holders. I apply to a clean dry wall, wait a minimum of 2 hours for it to set and then hang. So easy! Removal is easy if you follow the directions. You MUST pull the tab STRAIGHT down not out. It can pull pretty long before releasing from the wall cleanly.

I have used 3M Command strips for well over 10 years. I have sworn by them, and recommend them to everyone I know. We sold our house and moved to a rental 2 years ago. I used them for nearly EVERYTHING. Must have had 5 dozen various items hung, from calendars to shadowboxes to souvenirs. Out of all that, maybe put 6 actual holes in the wall. Ended our lease and bought a house. Now we COULD put holes in the wall, but why? We are going to sell eventually... Everything went back up with the replacement strips. By the dozen. And fell just as rapidly. I am SO DISGUSTED with 3M! Some of the packages we got were obviously bad, because the backing pulled off far too easily. I returned those packages and got "better" ones. We thought. Crash! Bang! Shatter! Don't tell me we ... MoreI have used 3M Command strips for well over 10 years. I have sworn by them, and recommend them to everyone I know. Don't tell me we hung them wrong, either. Hung the same as before. Anything over 7 lbs, we used TWO 5 lb sticky nails. Yes, on clean wall paint. My less-than-5 lb shadowbox? 2 5lb sticky nails. My husband's 8lb retirement box? TWO 8 lb sticky nails. Crashed but fortunaltely fell on a couch. My husband made a bayonet display case, over 15 years ago. Weighs about 10 lbs. Used TWO 8lb sticky nails just like in the rental. SHATTERED when it fell. A 4 lb framed print, used two of the 4 lb plastic hooks. On the floor the next morning. My framed gift from my husband, put up properly as well, has fallen TWICE. .5lb small strips can't even hold up a 1-ounce body sponge. Yes I used the water-rated strips. We are so disappointed right now. Your quality has gone down the toilet. Extremely disillusioned, I am feeling right now. And my husband is extremely angry, because so much has broken and now we have to put holes in the wall after all. :( Not well done of you, 3M!

Used this to hand a wall clock on a standard painted wall. Worked great for around a year. Sadly, the clock fell off eventually shattering the glass all over the floor. Luckily our 2 years old was not around at the time. The clock itself was worth over $200 plus the sentimental value as it was gifted to us from a family member who has passed away recently.

I have been using Command strips for the last 10 years in my art studio/gallery. Much to my disappointment when I moved in December, every strip took the paint right of the wall despite taking them off correctly. Also, the command strips for my twinkle lights have been letting loose after one year of hanging. I recently had brand new command strips which I was trying to use to hand 16x20 canvas paintings, they will not hold. I think these are quite expensive and too have them not work after having them for a year is not acceptable.
These are so nice for hanging pictures without adding more holes to the wall! I own my home but still don't want to put nails in the kids rooms because they always change how they want to decorate. Make sure you follow the weight guidelines.
I am a professional photographer, and these picture hangers are great for displaying my photos that have been printed on canvas wraps. They can also be used for framed prints. The hooks come right off the wall when no longer needed in that spot, and don't leave a hole like a nail does. I used 15 of this size hanger to display 15 images on a 49" x 97" section of a wall in the waiting area of my studio. When I want to rearrange pictures, I can easily remove these hooks and put them in a different location, and I have not damaged my wall at all. It's all very easy to do. I absolutely LOVE these metal picture hangers!
The makers of 3M are geniuses! They gave us Post-It-Notes which was a life changer. Now the 3M Command line of products. Who would have known I would be able to hang my pictures on the wall without multiple holes in the wall from bad arranging! Definitely worth the price. I read the instructions every time I use these products just to make sure I do not fail and pretty fail-proof application.
I have had great luck with these in the past. As of lately… the adhesive strip quality is god awful. I have 2 posters and each require 2 of these hangers, so weight is not an issue. Currently I have had the one poster fall off for 3rd time after only staying for about three days each time and now damaging my night stand. The second poster has just fallen the same night as the first but that one has been up for a couple weeks. The wall surface was properly prepped as instructed as well. The only difference I’ve noticed is the adhesive strips. The old extra ones I had from previous kits have actually stayed and stuck better. The new ones I had to get actually have a small bit at the top with no adhesive on the “wall side” what so ever but I figured there was two ... MoreI have had great luck with these in the past. The new ones I had to get actually have a small bit at the top with no adhesive on the “wall side” what so ever but I figured there was two holding the poster with only a small bit of adhesive missing so it should be fine. Nope. Still keeps falling and the last one, because of the way it must have peeled off the wall, almost hit my girlfriend in the face while we were sleeping. (One is hung right above my bed head board). Done using these.
Watch out as this hanger's adhesive only holds for about 1.5 years. I had a 1 lb picture hanging from this hook that I placed in early 2019. I was sitting at my computer desk and this picture frame crashed to the floor, breaking the frame's glass. The hook was still attached to the frame's hook with the adhesive strip still attached to the hook. Needless to say, I was not happy. Yes 1.5 years sounds like time longer than one might keep their pictures in one location, but not at my house. Makes me wonder how many others are going to fall off the wall.
We bought these today to hang an awkward panoramic print. Initially thrilled to find these hangers...until we read the directions. The photo and colors didn't match so I came to the site to get some clarification. After reading the reviews, it's no wonder that many reviewers are saying that they don't work. The directions on the package and directions online are completely different (see photos). Am assuming the online directions are correct as they make more sense?! Neither one explains the smaller strips included or correctly lists the color for them.Considering the cost of the product and the piece you're hanging, using questionable directions is risky. Have loved other Command products but can't recommend this one.
