I absolutely love my common projects. I hesitated to buy for a while since the price has doubled over the years but after owning a couple of other cheaper versions I finally gave these a try and was not disappointed. It’s very clear that the leather is of higher quality than competitors and they are surprisingly comfortable. I’ve seen others complain about them needing a break in period but that was not the case for me. Cody and the team at the flagship NYC store were very knowledgeable and gave the outstanding service I’ve come to expect from Nordstrom. They encouraged me to order true to size (based on actual measurements which is about a half size down from an Ultraboost for example) which was clutch. Most people size down because they run long but don’t be afraid to have plenty of extra room in the toe - they run quite long and narrow but that is for the aesthetic, you’ll want to size based on the widest part of your foot, not length. TLDR: great buy. I’m already on my second color.

The shoes dont fit. They are smaller than the normal common project Achilles low in the leather in the size of 41. Cant wear them so Ill have to donate. As far as the condition of the shoes they are ok. The suede is a little crusty and I think these are about 10 or more years old.

Definitely a quality sneaker. Happy that there is wonderful service and staff have decided to carry this item so that one can experience a hassle free shopping looking for those very covered pair of shoes. The pair itself is infamous Achilles low that doesn’t need much description besides the fact that it’s a bit narrow for a long fitted people like myself. It runs big so I had to revert back to my lower sizing of 13 so be aware it will take some time to stretch. You might wanna invest in a shoe stretcher.

If you're checking these out, you probably already know. These shoes are some of the sleekest and most minimal white 'athletic' shoes you can find. They're really comfortable and the tongue becomes more flexible after a few times wearing them. Just keep in mind that you'll need to clean the rubber sole regularly if you want them to look fresh. Considering how durable they are and how frequently I wear them, they're definitely worth the price.
I struggled with Thursday all white and breaking those in. They didn’t last long either. These CP are so much better quality and have always wanted a pair. It’s been 3 days and I’ve worn them all three days to start breaking them in. So far on day 3 I wore them to a wedding and boom they were perfect! I’m normally a size 10 in vans, Nike, everything except this I did size down to a 9. Toe box is a little tight but not uncomfortable. So far love them!
Outstanding materials and craftmanship. Out of the box automatically noticed an higher quality compared to other shoes such as Koio, Arrigato, Vince, and Oliver Cabell. The size fits perfectly. Not cramped but not swimming in the shoe. Clean overall look gives me the confidence I need whether casual or professional vibe. Will definitely purchase a 2nd pair in a different color!
These are obviously well made, and a fashion icon at this point. I typically wear a 45 in Euro sizing but wear a 44 in CP and they fit perfectly, the 45s are *way* too big (I have a 12 foot that is a bit narrow). The construction is a double-edged sword for me. The craftsmanship is top notch, but they are more like a light boot than a typical sneaker and need a lot of break-in. They are not particularly comfortable when new, and breaking them in is a real chore (unless you are into that kind of thing). Once broken in though that quality is an obvious plus. I had some minor heel slip the first few times I wore them unless I laced them pretty tight, but the suede in the heel area does a good job of stopping that once they soften up a bit. Very comfortable sneaker (for my foot) with a great low profile look! I typically wear a size 8.5 D and tried both a size 41 and 42. I purchase the size 41 understanding the leather will stretch over time. It is definitely a pricey sneaker and not for everyone’s budget, but I own some of the lower cost brands mentioned by other reviewers and I do not think they are as comfortable as the CP. I also watched the Rose Anvil video the other reviewer mentioned that deconstructed the CP sneaker, and in substance and construction it appears to very similar to some other lower cost brands. However, for my feet, the Common Projects sneaker felt more comfortable right out of the box than the other lower cost brands I own. I am not a sneaker enthusiast, so probably won’t be ... I am still wearing a an all white pair that i purchased in 2015. I bought these when they were under 300 a pair. But I also bought these knowing, yeah there are knock offs and copies (Greats, etc.) and brands saying they make them in the same factory. But you buy these because they are CP's and not to sound like a jerk, but this is no different than buying a Gucci item. I will say I wear these like they are 50 buck Nikes. I have worn them traveling and have worn them to music festivals and to dinner parties. I’ve worn them with shorts and with suits. I have spilled gallons of wine on them cleaned them and used a magic eraser to clean the soles, which works. They wear like iron and the Margom soles are amazing. They literally don't wear out. I am a 9.5 US and I wear these in EU42. I own a black pair now, waxed suede achilles, chelsea boots, penny loafers and also their chukkas. All are exceptionally well made. My wife has many pairs and literally wears them all year even in the winter. The leather is great and once broken in, nothing like them. If you can afford them, then I highly recommend them. If you buy them and are upset at the price, or they don't fit well, that is not the shoe’s fault. These are definitely a luxury sneaker, and honestly probably cost 100 bucks to make, similar to a Louis Vuitton Purse. I have watched Rose Anvils video's and stopped because he is more of a work boot guy and I am not sure if he has ever made shoes, was a shoe designer or manufacturer. He also made comments in his earlier videos that I know were incorrect. But my close friend who owns a boot/shoe company that makes his shoes 100% IN America and actually knows how to construct shoes...was the person that told me, if you are going to buy shoes in that style, there is only one company, Common Projects and knows how well made they are and the quality of the leather they use, and has been to the factory in Italy. He actually designs and manufactures Goodyear welted boots all hand made in the US. So I trust his opinion, and I now have an 8 year old worn in pair of CP’s that are my go to summer shoe.
I had my eye on these shoes for over a year but was repeatedly deterred by the cost. However, over time, I realized that the minimalism and style of the Common Projects Original Achilles Sneaker is truly unmatched. The absence of extraneous padding in the shoes, like that in so many other similar styles, maintains a slender appearance on your feet. The subtle gold numbering, on the other hand, truly makes the shoes stand out. It allows the shoes to eye-catching, yet extremely versatile. Despite typically wearing a US Size 12, I found that the EU Size 44 fit perfectly. Ultimately, I could not be more pleased with my purchase. The only downside was that they were difficult to break in and led to uncomfortable blisters. After 10+ wears, however, they became much more comfortable and can now be worn without discomfort. Now, they are easily my favorite pair of shoes.
