Overall a good unit. Drawbacks: hose fittings are cheap and tend to leak a bit and it really should come with an AC power supply, which will set you back another $50 at Jaycar. (It would be great to be able to charge up before you leave home for those shorter trips). Flow is adequate, temperature varies from comfortable to very hot, so I found the lowest setting ideal. Temperature control is very touchy. Very useful for the week we were without a shower at home while the bathroom was renovated, and looking forward to hot showers on our next camping trip.

Works great! We connected to a fuel generator and the stream of water is surprisingly good and very hot. We used a pop up shower and the shower nozzle tucks in your the top so it’s like having a real shower. Felt like glamping! The kids loved it too, though if the water you use for the shower is left out in the hot sun all day, the temperature is almost too hot. There was steam coming out from the shower and it was absolutely divine to have a real shower while camping. I highly recommend this product, I’m not sure how we lived without it.

The gates of heaven have opened.. I have this continuous hot water flow system hooked up to a 9 kg gas bottle. It gets that hot that half the dial needs to be set less than half way. The flow of water, at 2 litres per minute, is more than enough. The good old saying that many people rely on, "Nobody does that", has been put to rest. Another great product by Companion. Highly Recommend this product!.

Have the inlet temperature in between 20-25d for nice warm outlet temperature. If the inlet temperature is over 25-35d say the bucket of water you have been using was sitting in the outback sun heating up during the day. Now the outlet water temp is way to hot and you will burn yourself. I experienced this as it’s in possible to have a shower. Companion say to remove the restrictor in hand piece but if you keep water temperature to under 25 (inlet) you won’t need to do this. Check out my utube review on aqua heat.
We purchased this in preparation for our 2 weeks camping trip into the QLD National Parks and were certainly not disappointed. It worked like a dream, especially after a long day hiking through the park. Great to have a warm shower at the end of the day. We use a collapsible bucket and packs nicely into the carry bag.Just a problem getting the small gas cylinders but easily connected into our larger gas bottle.
Pro: nice warm water, if you keep the flow rate low (using tap water). Less so if you put it harder (with tap water). Did not test included water pump motor, that one is likely set to 2L/min which may make the water always warm due to lower flow rate. Good for daily use. You can buy a hose to hook it up to standard BBQ gas bottle. Quite happy overall. 4/5 stars. Con: hose from shower head breaks very easily, especially if there is too much water pressure or if it gets twisted. Make sure to take some normal extra hose with you. You've been warned :)
The unit worked well and the battery lasted longer than expected between charges. The water was a little hot at time even on the lowest temp setting but thats probably due to the inlet water temperature being a little warmer than they had planed (central Queensland) the unit stopped working after a few weeks. Kept throwing faults. Took it back to BCF who were more than happy to replace the unit but unfortunately they never had one and it would have been a week away. We were using it every day so i chose a refund instead. I am using and heater from the same company and its working fine
I have purchased the Companion Aqua heat lithium gas shower. Set up less than two minutes. Hot water shower at what ever the temperature you like. Small compact so far super reliable. I had the pleasure of meeting Samuel at the Modbury store. This man knows old school customer service. I am extremely happy with the service and support from Sam and the team at BCF.
We bought this as we were about to head off for a 9 day camp down near the VIC border and we are so glad we picked this product!! We’re a family of 5 and the Aquaheat did not miss a beat. Showers for all 5 of us (even multiple times a day) of all camping comforts, this had to be the greatest. Battery life on the unit is really good, and can be used whilst plugged in to a 12v (or 240v) power source. Brought to get through the bathurst gas outage. Worked a treat and battery lasted longer than expected. Great setup as it’s very portable and easy to use. Would be great for out at the dam for a days skiing or when we go camping. Very happy with it.
