Worked perfectly... for 7 days. Was plugged into a monitor on a desktop and had barely moved only into and out of my macbook. Worked fine last night, didn't even touch it in between and no signs of a signal whatsoever this morning. Should have read the other reviews.

I bought this adaptor to accept a Mini Display Port Cable (running from a Ben Q Monitor with DVD-D connection) to transfer it into Thunderbolt 4 (same as USB-C) connection but unfortunately, it didn't work! I was full of hope, especially as I was advised to go to a 3rd party after 2 repeated attempts. When connected altogether, the Monitor didn't power up to reflect what the Macbook Pro was showing.

I wish I would have read the other reviews before purchasing this adaptor. I bought one to connect to my existing HDMI-mini display port cable for a 2020 Macbook Air. It's DoA - plugging in doesn't wake external monitor, even when monitor is woken manually "no input signal" is shown onscreen - very disappointing.

Like many of the other reviews I have found that this adapter does not work in connecting my mac retinal display to my macbook. Waste of money.
Bought it to connect my Apollo sound card to my mac Studio. with it just plugged into the Apollo ti completely shut down its power. As soon as I unplugged the adapter the power came back on. I have a feeling is has to do with the direction this adapter flows - maybe one directional so doesn't work with a lot of what people think it will work it.Either that or its crap.
No issues at all. Connected 2020 MacBook Air to 4K Dell (mini DP to DP) and works perfectly.
Bought for my mac display, the screen works but the image is fuzzy. quite poor quality
I bought this a month or two ago to connect my Dell monitor to my Mac mini, and it worked great at the start. But over time, the monitor would lose connection, or it would think that there is no signal coming from the Mac mini (but it was - my other monitor connected via USB-C direct works fine 100% of the time). I would have to unplug and replug in the adapter all the time after my Mac had gone to sleep. Many times I would have to flip the adapter over or try a different USB C port. Eventually I found that if the adapter was angled just right, or jiggled around enough, that it would send the signal. Eventually it just stopped working. Save your money and buy something else.
Just thought I'd leave this for anybody with a USB-C MacBook Air/Pro/New Mac Pro etc. This adaptor works with a 30" Apple Cinema display *(requires additional adaptor Dual Link DVI adaptor).
