I have 3 of these and waiting on 8 more. For those with HA - I have 2 in Cloud Tuya and one in Tuya local all running in home Assistant. The new ones will be going around the perimeter downlights outside my house so I can make them dance at Christmas time :)

This is a good product for the price. It's just 4 stars as the instructions aren't great. Check out the steps someone else posted as a review: I had better luck with that. Bright enough, app has expected functions. Total set up time, 30min.

I ordered 4 of these, 1 did not work. I contacted them and they sent another. The connection process was very difficult, but worked in the end. The features they have are very nice, however they aren’t nearly as bright as my old lights.

I bought 6 of these a week ago and spent a week trying to install them. Note they only connect to a 2.4gHz wifi. The instructions are hopeless - unreadable. Only one would stay connected. The rest kept going offline. The software to operate the lights was ok. Thankfully, HN gave me a refund. Note: my router is in the same room as the lights.
I bought this 2 weeks ago, and followed all the instructions in setting it up. I am a qualified IT expert and I had the right settings enable: but the app would not pair with the device over Wi Fi or bluetooth or even via a gateway. Disappointing.
Found it hard to find smart bulbs in the MR16 (gu5.3) format, so I pounced on these once I saw them.. Good functionality for the price point, have integrated nicely into my existing smart-home eco-system. Tuya based. No issues so far.
This product is useless! Lights flicker & buzz, fail to connect to Wifi. Hours of f$cking around speaking with suppliers who tell me my router needs a special adjustment to connect. I have fibre to the home NBN & I’m told my wifi is not strong enough. DO NOT PURCHASE THIS PRODUCT EVER!!!!
The top brands currently only sell GU10 models (take 220V as input, unlike the GU5.3 which takes a safer 12V input). All apartment units in my building complex (about 1000 units) use GU5.3. I was wary that 12V may be too low for the electronics to work hence why the likes of Philips and LIFX (and many other brands) so far are not selling such model (only exception I found so far was AWOX, available only in Europe). I bought initially 3 of these for my bathroom, replacing Philips 7W, with these smart 5W. The light power is still fine, the WIFI setup was fine too (easier than LIFX!) and responsiveness of the integration with Amazon Alexa is great. Also I like the fact that the bulb remember their last setting when switched off and on. One thing I'ld like to see: offer Zigbee versions (like Philips Hue). WiFi should be just for basic, small home automation - better: combine WiFI/Zigbee to give a choice.
Product didn’t work despite following instructions on either Bluetooth or wi fi. Was looking forward to using it. I have had Philips hue bulbs which do work, but they don’t make a downlight like these. I have set up many smart home products (lights, Alexa, music, cameras) and this one just didn’t work. Dodgy product.
Purchased 2 of these downlights for my room to use with my google home, the connection Setup steps are complicated and useless. I spent over an hour trying to connect to them and still had no sucess, went through vigourous troubleshooting and reset steps and also researched all over the interent to try and fix this solution. In the end had to return them and get my money back. I would highly recommend you to never purchase this item.
