It does a pretty good job for its price...... My go to for mashing soups, making shakes and blending! easy to clean too......If you you use it with care..... it will serve you good!

Bang

Unfortunately only had this for a few months. Had been using it to make a keto coffee and was all ok. Tried to mix half milk and half honey and it went bang and died .

Died after a few months

Bought this in Jun 2018 and it has died after a few uses. Will be looking to get a reimbursement.

Expect it to fail

It's a pity that I have to give it one star. It deserves zero. 'Contempo' is effectively a house brand but BigW do not seem to test the products they have made for them. We had two of these because we have two houses. The first worked for a few uses but then just stopped. The upper coupling of the second mixer's stork shattered at the second use (both uses were on vegetable soup). The coupling was made of thin, weak plastic. I had a receipt for only one of the devices and obtained a refund for that.

Gets hot fast

This gets hot very fast then burns out. Best to use it for no longer than 30 seconds and leave for at least 3/4 an hour before using again.

Great for mixing for soup while on the stove

I purchased this 2 week ago and find it very helpful with lots of things every day like mixing cream and lots more

No good

I used the contempo stick mixer on some pumpkin soup ONCE and started to smell that burning electrical smell. Took off the blade attatchment and saw smoke. Waste of money.
