I bought this to replace my older version of this cup when it broke. I was a little hesitant because I loved my old one so much that I was worried this one would not live up to expectations. I have been using this cup for about a year now and it is great! It keeps my coffee hot for a really long time! You have to push a button when drinking so no spills when I’m juggling too much at once. I like that it can be locked to ensure it is not accidentally opened and spills. It is VERY easy to clean. We use a small bottle brush to really clean the top. I think this lid opens more than the older model and is easier to clean. Definitely recommend.

These mugs are completely unspillable unles you manage to crack the plastic lid, which after 2 years I still have not managed to do. Liquids maintain their temperature, hot or cold, for at least 3 hours. These are the best desk accessory for people like me who are not good about where their hands/elbows are all the time. They go through the dishwasher like magic, the plastic has not faded or cracked, and the rubber has not degraded. I tossed all my other mugs and just use these now, I don't care that they're "travel" mugs because they're just so darn practical!

This passed the rocket lolly test with flying colours. We put the main body in the freezer for a couple of hours then took it out filled it with two rocket lollies lid on and 5 hors later enjoyed the Rockets once we were out and about. Awesome roarsome.

I saw this Contigo hot/cold cup when shopping for another product & it was love at first sight. The attractive exterior was visually pleasing compared to all of my other "plain" steel Contigo travel cups.The exterior has a rubber overlay which provides a non-slip grip. This is also a unique feature comparing it to the others in my collection.The cup exceeds the product advertisement of 5 hours to keep a drink hot and cold for up to 12 hours. I brought this cup to work and will have hot coffee in my cup at the start of the day and after an 8 hour work day, the temperature is remains considerably warm. Similarly, I can fill the cup with "ice water" on the morning of day 1 and when I come in the following day, I still have ice water! It's fabulous.

So with the price being reasonable, I took the plunge, I'm in the construction business so this has to be able to take a beating. I'm pleased to report that it's still going strong. It has some really good common sense features that I've come to appreciate, "spill proof" "auto seal drinking spout" to name a few. My only complaint if any is that it's hard to clean. It's hard to clean the cap which contains all the cool mechanisms which ironically what made this mug cool. Let's say you had a smoothie or similar milk type drink. Getting to reach in those tight ares to clean out any milk remains can be a task. So hopefully an improved design is on the way to address this. I like this one better than our Byron flip-top mugs because I can press the button to open it with one hand while I’m driving, and it closes automatically when I let go.Same great insulating properties as the other models as Contigo’s other styles. With ice, water stays cold most of the day while I’m out and about.Hot drinks stay hot a long time, though fewer hours than cold drinks stay cold. And naturally the emptier the mug gets, the faster the coffee cools. It goes to work with my husband most days. A great little workhorse that does just what it should year after year.

Not a fan! Yikes. I owned about 5 Contigo Autoseal. But not this design. I have the West Loop. Much better design. The hole where the liquid comes out is tiny. I do have to say this Transit model does seals good. No complaints there. It fits perfectly the cup holder on my BMW. But the ergonomics of where you have to press the button is not the best. Kinda on an awkward place. Would definitely not buy again. Too bad Best Buy does not carry the West Loop right now. I bought 4 from Best Buy last year.
The size of this Contigo Autoseal travel mug fits nicely in my car's cupholder. It is comfortable to hold and the grey rubber on the outside allows you to keep a good grip on it. The top screws on securely and the sipper opening has a seal on it which seems to be practically leakproof... no splashes or dribbles yet while carrying it in the pocket of my backpack. It does keep my coffee hot for at least a couple of hours (I usually finish the coffee before it has a chance to get cold anyway). I like the fact that the top is well designed and does not have a flip-top that hits my nose while drinking.
I've had these before, currently using one. This one looks so nice I will hold off on using it and maybe give it as a gift. I think these things are very useful, I much prefer the Autoseal because of the covering that slides over to cover where you drink, when you're not drinking. I wish the covering covered the entire top; then maybe you remove it when you drink, but it is connected with a tether. Though I'm not saying I want a full removable lid, because opening/removing a whole lid causes a lot of heat exchange. This is the best I know of so far, and worth the $20 or so I paid price + shipping.
