I am running these on a DeVinci Milano hybrid, which I've used with fairly smooth 700x32's of a different brand for years. Installation was easier than for my studded winter tires onto my 20" folding bike wheels so I felt installation of these Contact Plus tires was reasonable straightforward onto my 700C road bike wheels, with the use of tire levers.I like the reflective stripe on these tires for safety and appearance. Despite the more aggressive tread and the extra weight compared to my previous tires, they haven't affected my average speed.Reason I'm not giving 5 stars is because I need to do more long distance travel on streets and highways to test whether these are as puncture-resistant as they feel.

Ordered this tire by mistake. I like the Contact Plus version of this tire, I've been using it for the last year with great satisfaction which tells a lot about the Conti brand. I ended up not using this tire and had to return it, to which the Canbria Bike customer service was very responsive and helpful. 360 days return policy is definitely desirable given the online purchase.

I even kept using them once back at home after rotating the rear tire to the front wheel. If I use them only for commuting they sometimes last up to two summers. I chose to change them when the water-channeling grooves are too faded or flattened.I rolled through an impressive amount of broken glass without ever having a flat. Although it is true the sidewall cracks, it is located only on the Continental logo because it is a decal bonded with heat onto the rest of the tire. The cracks do not affect the integrity of the tire at all. It's strictly cosmetic.It is also true part of the reflective strip delaminates. However, it's only a short section where the strips overlaps itself. After cutting the excess of 1 or 2cm, they never delaminated further.These issues are cosmetic and affect the tire in no way.I've always been impressed with Continetal tires. I appreciate the puncture-resisting material added to the construction.I will keep using them and recommending them to friends.

Bought these for winter commuting on Vancouver island and couldn’t be happier. Easy rolling and decently fast on paved roads, very grippy on dry and wet roads, even wet painted lines. No issues with breaking confidence. Have had to do some hard breaking to avoid vehicles entering the road way and these have stopped me quickly. Ridden in light snow with decent results. Haven’t let down yet. I found mounting the 700x36 tires a piece of cake on my rims. I’ll be buying another pair after these go which won’t be for a while.
So yeah like previous reviews say this tire is a bit tough to get on, but with a little technique it was doable. Noticed they were thinner than my other 32mm's, even with the tread for me they were 30mm. Ride is pretty stiff, honestly feels like I'm riding on 23 or 25 mm tires. If I lower the pressure I definitely feel the resistance.I'd get about 2 flats a month riding to work, with these all summer no flats, not even a single like micro puncture where the tire loses air slowly over time.My tires were tubeless compatible so I ended up getting those instead. If you can't do that than I'd suggest getting these if the roads you travel are heavy on the debris side.
I wish I had read the reviews. I tried installing a 700X28C on a Surly Steamroller rim. It was far too tight but I figured I was using a 32 tube and was probably pushing too much rubber inside the tire. Exchanged for a 700X32 and put a 28-32 tub inside. Two broken leavers, three clamps and two punctured tubes later and I give up. It may be a good tire but you have to get it on the rim first. And god help you if you flat somewhere other than near a bike garage. MEC should not carry this tire. I noticed this Conti is made in India. Perhaps that factory is manufacturing with a different standard than the European tires? Even experienced bike mechanics would not be happy with this fit.
I’m sure the tyres are good, but they’re impossible to fit. I’ve never not met a tyre i couldn’t fit but this is the one, even with levers. It seems that they won’t fit slightly deeper rims but this should be clearer on description. Amazed I can type this given the state of my thumbs. Will be returning.
