In the first choice I made "vittoria rubino" he offered me a price much higher than the competition, which he improved after a market research I did but not satisfactorily. In a second proposal I made for the continental GP5000, thinking that I would have a more favorable price on the tire that was damaged, the OFFER was 8 euros more expensive than the competition per tire with free shipping. I preferred to buy 2 tires from another store with 5 euros shipping. Unfortunately my opinion on sigmasports, in terms of customer response after purchase, is not the best (read also my experience with ENDURAFS260 PRO BIB SHORT shorts).I'm really unlucky with orders from sigmasports. In summary, I believe that the continental GP5000 Folding tire is an expensive, very good tire with a big problem on the side walls. Searching the web, you will find many bad reviews in this area. If you want a safe tire above all, choose something else.

GP 5000. The gold standard for road bike tires. They certainly live up to the hype. I found them to be extremely fast on asphalt. They glide on black top road like warm butter on toast. On chip seal, they are okay. They corner so beautifully that I found myself being reckless on turns. That's how much i trusted the grip.Only negative, and its a big one. They wear out so fast. I got about 2622.5 km out of my rear tire and about the same from the front tire. The rear tire was squared, the indicator dimples all but gone and the front developed a slight bulge. I should also mention that i never once had a puncture with these for the 2600 or so kms. I rode 25 mm, that were always pumped to >110 psi.You pay a premium for these and they certainly deliver in the ... MoreGP 5000. The gold standard for road bike tires. I bought these tyres to go on a new set of DT Swiss ARC1400 tubeless ready rims. The wheel manufacturers recommended 25mm tyres to go onto a rim with 17mm internal width. Having used standard GP5000s with tubes for the last few years on a pair of Mavic rims they were the obvious choice for the tubeless upgrade despite reading the reviews that they are nigh on impossible to get onto the DT Swiss rims! Surely they couldn’t be that difficult to fit? Well, I can confirm that after an almighty battle, two grown men (after calling on a friend for assistance!) against a simple rubber hoop, skinned knuckles, some pretty ripe language and numerous snapped tyre levers these tyres do fit the rims perfectly. Possibly too perfectly hence the difficulty mounting them in the first ... MoreI bought these tyres to go on a new set of DT Swiss ARC1400 tubeless ready rims. Possibly too perfectly hence the difficulty mounting them in the first place. Once on the rim though they popped into place nicely with a quick blast from an air compressor, first time, even managing to get the logos lined up correctly with the wheels. The tyres actually measure the quoted 25mm once fitted and inflated so they look super slick on the rims. No unsightly balloon look or under sized stretched appearance. Once seated and the Continental sealant added they have kept pressure brilliantly. They roll beautifully and the grip gives confidence turning into high speed corners. Worth the struggle getting them on and I’m now just praying they don’t need to come off for some reason any time soon! Tubeless puncture kit and CO2 adapter also purchased as I certainly don’t fancy having to insert a tube on the roadside in the case of a puncture!

I've been riding for the better part of 15 years, doing rides for good causes and just riding for overall health. I'd say I ride maybe 150 miles a week, my bike of choice in that time has been the Specialized Roubaix and the tire of choice till now has been the S-Works Turbo. I switched to the Continental GP5000 over a month ago and I have to say they are FANTASTIC!!!! I ride on all surfaces from maintained trails to country roads in the Northern part of the Twin Cities. I typically would get one to two flats a month on the Turbo's, but since I switched "knock on wood" I haven't had a flat yet. Very fast tire, sticky in the turns and a much smother ride at the same PSI which I always ride at 100 front and back. Do yourself a favor, get a pair and you will not ... MoreI've been riding for the better part of 15 years, doing rides for good causes and just riding for overall health. I got the gp5000 tires in size 32mm yesterday and I took them for a ride. These are tube type. They were easy to fit on the Mavic Xyrium Equipe rims.It was a short ride on concrete roads. These were replacing Pirelli PZero Velo 4s tires in 28mm. Grip on the concrete was equally good, of not better. This tire also rolls very easily. It's perhaps a bit heavier, but being wider, that would be expected.Another thing that I found pleasantly surprising, was the speed of delivery from the Netherlands to India.
As far as the ride quality goes, these are sublime. I am running a pair of 25c tires, usually with pressures between 70-85 psi, and they roll fast and grip well in the corners. Above 30 km/h it is a breeze to maintain speeds! The tires even measure at close to 25 mm, so you won't have to worry about clearance. They feel more comfortable, but it is possible that's a placebo effect. I haven't had a puncture yet, but I'm just coming up to the 500 km point with the pair, so I can't speak too much to that. However, I need to talk about the reason why this absolutely amazing tire only gets four stars: these are an absolute pain to mount! For reference, there is a known challenge when mounting these on smaller rim widths. I was attempting to mount these on a pair of Cosmic Elite UST wheels, and I took about 90 minutes of trying before giving up and handing these to a mechanic to mount. The mechanic agreed, and they noted that this was the hardest tire/rim combo they have ever mounted. You may not have this issue! The GP 5000 TL has thicker beads in order to ensure a better seal. The theory is that for tires with shallower rim widths (I was working with a 17 mm rim width), the larger bead of the tire is not able to sit in the valley of the rim, making it harder to mount. An additional note is that this tire will not work on a hookless rim. This is becoming more common, so be aware when purchasing.I still recommend these tires! If you have a wider rim than I did, you may never run into the issues I had. Or hand these to your MEC mechanic, and grab them a coffee in thanks.
These might work well if you ride on very smooth, well maintained roads. I found these to be pretty fast tyres on the rare occasions that a road had a decent surface.Unfortunately, most of the country roads that I ride (Wiltshire and the Cotswolds) are NOT well maintained, and these tyres didn't survive. 2 punctures in the first 6 months of use.Normally, I expect to fix the occasional puncture when out on a ride (maybe once a year) but what made these tyres impractical was that they were incredibly tight on my Hunt carbon rims. I needed decent tyre levers and a LOT of strength to get the tyres back on, which took a lot of time. All told, I can't use a tyre that I can't easily work with at the side of the road, unless it is absolutely definitely never going to ... MoreThese might work well if you ride on very smooth, well maintained roads. I haven't come across that tyre. As it is, with their ability to puncture and real problem to fit, these just aren't practical.
These tires are so smooth and supple. Along the same routes, I noticed that I can generally ride in one higher gear because these tires are so fast. I also maintain a LOT more of my momentum on short, hard transitions. If you are riding a lot of road miles, do yourself a big favor and do not skimp on anything less than these. Before these, I was riding on Gatorskins and the difference is like night and day. So far, I only have a couple hundred miles on them but I'm hoping the puncture protection is at least as good as I had with the Gatorskins. Those were practically indestructible but very slow rolling.
Incredible tyres, I think this is the 3rd or 4th pair I’ve had and I can’t think why I’d ever need or want to change. Rolling resistance is great, they’re pretty light weight and very durable. I’ve ridden these all through the UK winter without issue at all. This current pair are the 30mm clinchers, which I ride at about 63psi. They are incredibly comfy to ride across the varying UK road surfaces. I couldn’t be happier. The usual excellent service from Sigma too.
I actually down sized from 28s to 25s to go with my rapides cl ii. The 28s made the wheels really unstable in crosswinds very very twitchy and it’s not the first time I’ve come across this, my hunt 34s were horrible with the 28mms. I thinks it’s the hight of them. Anyhow at my weight the 25s are just as comfortable and I find them faster and better able to track my line as they form a better shape on the rim. If 25mm can hold your weight and you’re not riding cobbles or really broken roads personally i don’t see the need for anything bigger. Just my takeOh because the info was actually quite hard to find, on the roval rapide clx rims the tyers sit exactly 27mm after a couple of rides and when they’re flat the tyer will cover the front bead track just fine you ... MoreI actually down sized from 28s to 25s to go with my rapides cl ii.
