Only done around 200km on these. Can't really say much about wear and reliability but so far so good. Tyre is small for 700x32. Tread depth is larger than most with defined knobs. Rubber is hard and showing no sign of any wear after 200km, should last. Being harder rubber the traction isn't as good, I've noticed the rear being squirmish when pushed hard on hard surfaces, may improve once tyre has time to wear in. Puncture resistance is my main concern, I use my bike for delivery work. Time will tell but so far so good

I was looking for a pair of non-expensive tires to replace the OEM tires which had given me two flats in the 24 hours. I saw the OEM tires were torn, and the size was 700-38C. The internal rim width is 19mm. I ended up purchasing a pair of 700-35(37) C tires. The clerk explained that the 35 is the internal width of the tire and the 37 is external. Those two new Continental tires fit perfectly with the rims and look much narrower than the original 38C. I like narrow tires since I mostly ride on the pavement. The most important is the tires have anti-puncture belts and I have no more flat tires since then.

Awesome!

Made in India, but don't be fooled by that, it is very good quality. Was somewhat challenging to fit, which is a good thing, because what goes on hard, will come off hard too. You have to bend the whole tyre back and against the rim, so it will pop-on, but regular plastic tyre removal tools might have a hard time to lift it onto and over the rim. Rubber is medium to hard density, sticks to asphalt very well, light dusty/ rainy road is also safe to ride, light off-road too. Sand is not! Very good price at bikeinn.com, highly recommended for the right purpose.

Continental Ride Tour Tire 700x42c measured 37MM for me
21 June 2022

Continental Ride Tour Tire 700x42c are supposed to be 42C and the label is shown as such. These tires measure at 37MM, 1 MM smaller than my old 38C tires. That said it's not the vender's fault at all. It says 42C on the label. They installed easily and I am very happy with them. They were priced well and I'm glad I bought them.

Excellent Tyre
4 July 2022

I have a 700 x 45 on the rear wheel of my very heavy e-bike. This tyre is amazing! It has performed perfectly for over 5,000 Miles and still has at least half the thread left. Given the price I do not think I can better this --I find the secret is pump it up to the recommended pressure and use Kevlar tape

Fast and Comfortable Tire

As others have said, these run narrower than spec; my 37s measured 33.5mm wide at the tread seated with no tube and the same mounted and inflated to 70psi on 14mm rims. YMMV but all reviews I've seen and my own experience indicate they run 3-4mm smaller than the number on the sidewall. Unlike what others have said, they mounted easily, just with thumbs, but that will depend on rim diameter.Great tire. Feels bombproof over all surfaces. Took the road bike to play on some gravel/dirt/rock roads. They don't handle gravel or sandy squish deeper than 1.5" or so very well, but that would be true of any narrower tire. They do fly through and over gravel and packed dirt pretty well.As for pavement, great handling, low resistance. Just chunky enough to give confidence on a wide variety of surfaces but narrow enough to still move the bike fast.Would buy again, especially for the price.

Good value touring / commuting tyres
19 August 2022

Continental Ride Tour 700c x 47 was to replace the lighter and fast-wearing 700c x 45 WTB Riddler tyres that came with my new gravel/commuting bike. Delivery was as projected. Installation was a breeze. The Ride Tour was almost twice as heavy as the Riddler, but I felt speed was not much reduced. Additional benefit: 10-15% softer ride.

Good value, good tyres

I have an old touring bike and decided to do the (sadly cancelled) Eroica. I have upgraded the bike in several ways using pre 87 parts but the tyres had seen better days. I wanted to try to approach a gravel bike capability and these tyres looked to fit the bill - I didn't want to change the wheels - my budget is quite tight (actually I'm quite tight). My order was dispatched promptly and I had no difficulty in fitting the tyres, they look good. I have tried them out, on the road, they give a fast, smooth ride. On gravel paths they have noticably improved grip. I even rode along a stoney (mostly) dried up stream - the grip was better than I expected and I always felt in full control.Obviously they are not mountain bike tyres, nor are they as wide as gravel bike ... MoreI have an old touring bike and decided to do the (sadly cancelled) Eroica. I'm very impressed with them. Even though I've only had them for a short while, Continental has such a good reoutation, I have no hesitation in reccomending them.

Good, solid tire. Rolls well, resists flats.
23 August 2018

I had bought several continental tires before this one (in particular the contact plus). However, the contact plus seems to have changed the centre bead so that it is no longer continuous - so I decided to try this Ride Tour 700C Wire Tire. I've had this tire for about 2 months now and have put about 1,000km on it. I like the continuous centre bead - it rolls very well. The tire is "grippy" and doesn't slide out on dry or wet pavement. One reason I like continentals is that they are very puncture resistant (I never had a flat with the contact plus tires in over 10,000km). This tire is the same. I ride over a lot of very questionable stuff and have not had a flat. The only reason I'm not giving this tire a 5 star rating is because, unlike the contact plus, this tire does not have reflective sidewalls. I do a lot of riding at night and I like to be seen, so I'd love to have those reflective sidewalls on this tire.

I like it
26 August 2022

I am not a type of person that changed many tires. This is my first tire charge from my MEC hybrid Midtown bike. I've put on approx 2700-3000km on my Kenda K198 (which came with the bike) and was time to replace the rear. It was hard to compare because I've put on many km On my original tire. I know these continentals are low end tire but what more cane you ask for? I want a tire with minimum foot print on the road as possible, so these fit my requirements. Other commuter tires seem to have a flat spot with a bigger foot print which cause more resistance. This tire is the best bang for your buck for me. Also I picked this rider from others because the tread had a mixture between road and turning compared to others.
