I liked the white ones and when I bought them, I strongly doubted that they would remain so for a long time. But, fortunately, they are very easy to wash with a brush and laundry soap. After washing, they look like new again. During these two years of almost constant wear, the sole did not change color and remained the same snow-white as it was when I bought it. The insoles are well glued and even after many washes they sit firmly and do not peel off anywhere. The sole is solid, with a protector, does not break when flexing and unbending. The price of sneakers is not small. But they are worth it. They will last more than one season and remain just as beautiful and comfortable.... Show more

Converse shoes are iconic and timeless, known for their classic design and versatile appeal. Whether you’re opting for the traditional Chuck Taylor All Stars or a more modern iteration, Converse delivers consistent quality and comfort. The canvas upper is durable yet breathable, making them suitable for all-day wear. The rubber sole provides good grip, though it may wear down over time with heavy use. One of the standout features is the wide range of colors and patterns available, allowing for personal expression. While they may not offer the most support for intensive activities, Converse shoes are perfect for casual, everyday wear, effortlessly blending style with comfort. They remain a go-to choice for those who appreciate a laid-back, retro aesthetic.... Show more

I wore these exact chucks for… 20 years? They last maybe a year before they fall apart, they’re far from waterproof, the sole has no support whatsoever, traction is non-existent. The inner heel canvas wears out, then your heel gets chewed up by the rubber inside. The canvas discolours within a month or two and usually blows out near the toe box, and then the sole separates from the shoe and they start talking when you walk. When they were $25 I was fine with them, but then Nike bought them and now at $120+ there’s no way to possibly justify it. Inflation is one thing, but there’s no reason for chucks to have jumped that much. But hey, you get cool points for wearing them?... Show more

I wore these all throughout my teenage years. They are so durable I still have my black ones somewhere (we just moved). They always fit nicely so they didn’t ever pinch or rub. Have great traction…unless you’re wearing them during an ice storm (words from experience). The one thing about them, as I’ve gotten older, they don’t have support at all. There’s enough room to put an insert in to give you support. I actually switched to Rocket Dog shoes because they have the support and are less expensive and I’ve been happy. But if you’re young and don’t need much support these are great and super durable.... Show more

My whole family has been wearing converse Chuck Taylors for years and have always loved them. The quality was good and while they didn’t start out the most comfortable, they would wear in great and become the most comfortable. They also were very reasonably priced and came in a huge variety of colors. Unfortunately, some things have changed since they were bought out by Nike. The price is higher and the traditional style seems to be less comfortable and less durable. They do now offer several different variations on the style such as the 70’s (which are more comfortable at a higher price) but are harder to find in as many colors in the classic. It feels like the classic style is taking a backseat while the brand tries to push the newer and more expensive ... Different Lining Material
I've owned 3 pairs of All Stars since 2004, and to my surprise when I received my new pair and went to put them on this morning I discovered that the lining material is not a sturdy canvas like all of my old pairs. The new lining is some sort of mesh foam material. It's thicker but also flimsier and makes the shape of the shoe look totally different. If I wanted sneakers with an athletic running shoe-type lining, I would have bought running shoe-type sneakers. I used the chat customer service and was told that all All Stars have this mesh foam lining and was offered a refund if I don't like it. I'm going to have to hold off trying to buy these ever again unless they go back to the canvas lining.... Show more

Love them despite the tongue issue
Long time Chuck wearer. I love these shoes and they are perfect for my old lady orthotics and arch supports since they have flat bottoms. Giving four stars because the tongue is too long and it rubs the front of my ankle. I compared with an older pair and the tongues weren’t always this long so I’m not sure when they thought lengthening that was necessary but I wish they’d shorten it again. I work around it by tying the laces BEHIND the tongue to keep it away from the skin but it would be cool to not have to worry about front ankle blisters. Still, I’ve been wearing these for too long to give up on them. Would buy again, I’ll just whine about the tongue when I do.... Show more

Perfect Converse
I marked these true to size since the size chart recommends sizing down. I usually wear a 9.5W shoe and got these in a solid 9W. They are PERFECT in every way: 1. They are the most beautiful shade of a bubblegum/hot pink. 2. They are very comfortable! 3. They have the tab that keeps the tongue of your shoe in place. You know that little piece of fabric under your laces that you weave the laces through? Why do some converse NOT have that anymore? It bothers me so much when the tongue of a high top is all the way to the side. Anyways, get these shoes. Highly recommend 🩷... Show more

Stiffer, less breathable
As a woman with a vast collection of chucks, it’s been a while since I purchased a new pair. The current seasonal purple is gorgeous, but I was surprised to find the canvas liner replaced with a synthetic mesh and straight up disappointed with the performance difference when I wore them. The new chucks feel stiffer overall, flex less when walking, and left my feet sweaty. In addition to the whole shoe feeling stiffer, the heel construction has also changed. The heel feels like it may be lined with a plastic insert rather than a coated canvas, which is ultimately the deal breaker. End of an era. If anyone with the power to address this is reading: please bring the original canvas construction back.... Show more

Stitching in the back
I have always loved the way Converse look but they have always been so narrow! I don't normally need wide width shoes but the regular sizing was too narrow for me. I decided to order the wide width on these in white and I love them! They're so cute! But they do run long. I am normally a 7 or 7.5 in shoes and I ordered those sizes here (they say to size down, but I figured the 7 would fit). The 7s were comfortable but still too long so I ordered the 6.5. Length was perfect but the heels were rubbing when I tried them on and I noticed that the 6.5 had stitching in the inner back of the heel that the 7s and 7.5s didn't have. I considered contacting Converse to see if they have any 6.5s without that stitching but didn't feel like dealing with the hassle so I just kept ... They are really cute but I hope they are phasing out the design with the stitching on the heel! I want to order them in black too.... Show more
