Converse All Star OX - Navy At age 47, Marquis Mills Converse, who was previously a respected manager at a footwear manufacturing firm, opened the Converse Rubber Shoe Company in Malden, Massachusetts in February 1908. The company was a rubber shoe manufacturer, providing winterized rubber soled footwear for men, women, and children. By 1910, Converse was producing shoes daily, but it was not until 1915 that the company began manufacturing athletic shoes for tennis. The company's main turning point came in 1917 when the Converse All-Star basketball shoe was introduced. Then in 1921, a basketball player named Charles H. "Chuck" Taylor walked into Converse complaining of sore feet. Converse gave him a job: he worked as a salesman and ambassador, promoting the shoes around the United States, and in 1932 Taylor’s signature was added to the All Star patch on the classic, high-topped sneakers. The Chuck Taylor All Star is the most iconic sneaker in the world, recognized for its unmistakable silhouette, star-centered ankle patch and cultural authenticity. And like the best paradigms, it only gets better with time. For generations, these classic colors and quality, vulcanized rubber sole have defined an icon.

These pink Converse are an absolute dream come true! Not only is the color vibrant and fun, but they're also unbelievably comfortable. I can wear them all day without any
issues, which is a huge plus for me.I also want to give a big shoutout to FinishLine. They were incredibly efficient in processing my order and getting it shipped out to me.
Communication was top-notch too; I always knew where my package was and when to expect it.If you're looking for a pair of stylish and comfortable Converse, look no

I do not agree that these run large. Chuck Taylors have always been narrow. I wore a 5.5/7.5 for years (when I could find them). Since I've been working on getting my feet
back to their natural shape, I've moved away from narrow shoes but some outfits just need classic Chucks. I went with an 6/8 wide and am happy with them. My toes don't feel
bunched or get hot spots on the outside of my little toe. The heels are a bit wider than I need but I'm happy with them. I tried both a 7.5 and an 8 and there really wasn't much
of a size different when I compared them, so I went with the 8s.

I love all Converse shoes. This color in particular goes with nearly everything I wear. They are comfortable and seem sturdier than I’m used to, although that could be just me
since I’m used to a different style. Eventually I’ll have every color:-) and I’m getting close. The color of these shoes is interesting. Not pink, which I was glad when I got them,
but a more muted tone, literally quite close to the color of clay. I truly love the color, the fit is as expected and the comfort level. Thank you. On verse, for providing great
quality products. I can’t get enough. I still have my first pair and it’s been years and years.

Legends for a reason
28 September 2024
Both my wife and I wear Cons regularly. They hold together well, go with anything, and it's hard to beat the comfort and timeless style. I have more variants than I care to admit, but the basic high top is the benchmark classic by which everything gets measured. All around the world, people know the shoes and understand the mythology. When you think "sneaker", an image of the black Converse hightop usually pops in one's imagination. They are legends for a reason. Still well made and reasonably priced, can't get enough of 'em...... Love them despite the tongue issue
18 April 2024
Long time Chuck wearer. I love these shoes and they are perfect for my old lady orthotics and arch supports since they have flat bottoms. Giving four stars because the tongue is too long and it rubs the front of my ankle. I compared with an older pair and the tongues weren’t always this long so I’m not sure when they thought lengthening that was necessary but I wish they’d shorten it again. I work around it by tying the laces BEHIND the tongue to keep it away from the skin but it would be cool to not have to worry about front ankle blisters. Still, I’ve been wearing these for too long to give up on them. Would buy again, I’ll just whine about the tongue when I do.... Show more

More comfortable than ever!
29 September 2024
I've been wearing Chuck Taylor All Star high tops for over 50 years as my primary everyday shoe. These black monochorome high tops are more comfortable, than the standard Chuck Taylor All Star high tops I've every worn. I bought the monochrome at the same time I bought a standard Black (black and white) pair. The monochrome seem less stiff right out of the box, have more comfortable coushioning inside and seem a little lighter. (The weight may just be my perception since they are more comfortable than the standard black pair I bought). Excellent buy!... Show more

Not the same. Misleading description.

I’m gonna say it’s true to size or even runs a lil small because I sized a half size down because it says this style runs large but it does not. It’s weird because I have other pairs in the same size that feel fine. I’m not sure if it’s because it’s made differently that it’s more fitted but either way. Don’t size down. And yes the material is different. The ones before, the textile feels like canvas, as it should. This one feels like felt for some reason on the inside. Not what I was expecting. But I examined it too late to return it so womp womp. Yeah it’s different. And the emblem. Something is just off about it. Maybe because it’s made in Indonesia this time instead of Vietnam. I’ll show the difference. This new one is definitely more narrow than my old one and ... MoreI’m gonna say it’s true to size or even runs a lil small because I sized a half size down because it says this style runs large but it does not. Perfect Converse
18 February 2024
I marked these true to size since the size chart recommends sizing down. I usually wear a 9.5W shoe and got these in a solid 9W. They are PERFECT in every way: 1. They are the most beautiful shade of a bubblegum/hot pink. 2. They are very comfortable! 3. They have the tab that keeps the tongue of your shoe in place. You know that little piece of fabric under your laces that you weave the laces through? Why do some converse NOT have that anymore? It bothers me so much when the tongue of a high top is all the way to the side. Anyways, get these shoes. Highly recommend 🩷... Show more

Stitching in the back
12 January 2024
I have always loved the way Converse look but they have always been so narrow! I don't normally need wide width shoes but the regular sizing was too narrow for me. I decided to order the wide width on these in white and I love them! They're so cute! But they do run long. I am normally a 7 or 7.5 in shoes and I ordered those sizes here (they say to size down, but I figured the 7 would fit). The 7s were comfortable but still too long so I ordered the 6.5. Length was perfect but the heels were rubbing when I tried them on and I noticed that the 6.5 had stitching in the inner back of the heel that the 7s and 7.5s didn't have. I considered contacting Converse to see if they have any 6.5s without that stitching but didn't feel like dealing with the hassle so I just kept ... MoreI have always loved the way Converse look but they have always been so narrow! They are really cute but I hope they are phasing out the design with the stitching on the heel! I want to order them in black too.... Show more

Wow, new Chucks are garbage
30 December 2023
I bought my Chucks in March 2023. Nine months later, in December, the inside canvas has worn down to expose the plastic bits in the heel of both shoes. I work from home and spend my entire day in house shoes. When I go for walks, I wear different walking shoes. These shoes have had subjectively little streetwear and as evidence, the soles are still in near-perfect condition. The construction inside the shoe is apparently absolute garbage now.Now here's the part that makes me really mad. I buy really good socks, and I take incredible care of them so they last forever. The plastic that is now exposed inside both shoes has damaged nine pairs of socks because I didn't notice they were rubbing until after a few weeks. The socks are completely shredded where the plastic ... MoreI bought my Chucks in March 2023.
