I was very excited when my chucks arrived - they had that beautiful classic white look that we have all come to know and recognize. I am so happy that these are coming back into style after wearing them as a teen! I am usually a size 9.5 but sized down to a 9 because I heard that these run big. I probably should have sized down even farther as even a 9 was a bit big! I am going to keep them because I think it will still work as long as I wear thicker socks, but just something to keep in mind. Like I said, it's been a while since I've worn chucks so I probably should have tried them on in the store before purchasing. Overall they are comfortable and very sturdy. I have to be careful with the white, but so far I have been able to wipe off marks easily.

The chuck wide shoe is a classic shoe that can worn with any outfit. The shoes very comfortably and has plenty of room in the wide fit. It takes a little bit to break the shoes in but I always enjoy the way they look. The black shoe with white laces makes every outfit a little more fun to wear.The design of the shoe is excellent. The black chuck 70 wide I can say definitely fits better. I feel because it’s a wider shoe I can actually wear socks and still be comfortable rather than having to make sure the shoes aren’t thick. The design is basic which you can dress up or dress down. I can simple wear these with a cute summer body con dress or some cute skinny jeans. The fabric seems thick so I know they would last me some time which is a plus. Sneakers are so costly so when it comes to how the show is made and how durable it is that’s a plus for me. These will work not only for adults but kids too! What I liked most is the fact that although the sneaker was basic it had a shine/gloss too on the toe part which I feel make it glam it up a bit. I typically do not go with a wider width shoe as my feet tend to slip around too much in them, however, I have never felt comfortable in a regular width Chuck style because of the more pointed toe. I had a bit of wiggle room in the Chuck 70 wide, but it was extra space that felt good! I typically find shoes with a rounder toe box most comfortable. These were far, far better than the regular width for me, but did bother the joints in my big toes at the end of the day. I am going to keep wearing them for shorter periods in hopes they just need more wear to stretch out a little. The sole of the shoe and the canvas fabric was flexible right away and not stiff at all. I liked that the soles could bend with my foot. The ankle rubbed a bit, but taller socks and tying the ... I had been wanting to get a pair of Chuck 70s for a while. I had a pair of Chucks as a kid and always loved them, and was was intrigued by the 70 version being more true to the original Chucks from the 70s. The build quality and materials are top-notch. The canvas is thick, almost too thick at first, but it softens up. These have a bit of a break-in perioid. I got these and some Newbalances at the same time. The Newbalances fit better out of the box with the wider toebox. But after the break-in period, the Chuck 70s might be even more comfortable. They loosen up and conform to the shape of your foot. Idk why I never knew that Converse offered wide width shoes. These shoes are so comfy and true to size! The design of the shoe is so versatile! My son can literally wear it with ANYTHING! Shorts, jeans, joggers, anything! I was honestly worried that the shoe would be hard to clean if it got dirty because of the color and fabric. But I found that the cloth fabric of this shoe seems more sturdy/tough so I don't have to worry about causing any damage if I have to scrub it. What I like most is how lightweight the shoe is. My son wore it for 6 hours when we went to Busch Gardens and I thought we would've gotten tired of walking in the Converse. When I told my son I was going to get him a new pair of sneakers as I do every year for school I was pleasantly surprised when he asked for the same sneakers his dad has and has worn his whole life. He wanted matching white high top chucks. I was hesitant on the white, because my son is 12 and as a typical kid he can get messy. But I went for it anyways. In the past we have had difficulty with certain shoes due to his wider feet, not abnormally wide just wide enough to not be comfortable in some shoes. So I ordered the Chucks wide, they are amazing! They fit his foot so well without looking awkward and you can barely tell the difference. They look perfect, fit him amazing and he loves them. I was really excited about the idea of a wide Converse high top. Nothing beats the classic look of a pair of black high top Converse! Pinched toes turned me off years ago, so a wide footbed was exciting. In reality, these are definitly wider, but not quite as wide as they could be to be perfect. (I've included a picture of the wide size 8.5 next to a regular size 8 for reference.)First, the pros: high quality canvas uppers, soft and more supportive footbed than the ones I wore in the 90s, long laces, quality stitching.Second, the cons: wide in the wrong places, my toes are still pinched, and runs really big. The sole feels wide through the mid foot, but not the toe box, where I've always felt pinched. I wear a men's 9 and the 8.5 feels big.
