Classic and Cute but A Tad Too Big

I love the color of the shoe and the shiny toe gives it a nice touch! It is a little too wide for my feet but pulling the laces tighter does help. It is also a little too big so I may
benefit from a smaller size but would want to try it on first. This shoe would be great for those who have wider feet and there is more room. The fabric is thick and similar to
the fabric of my other Chuck Taylor shoes. The sole is a little thicker but not too thick. This will be a good everyday shoe to style with jeans or short or even a dress for women
when going for a casual look. It does look a little long on my foot which I don’t like. The toe and sole is more of an off white color which looks good with the black... Show more

My husband loves Converse, but his wider feet always look a bit cramped in standard width, but he was reluctant to get wide. I was super excited to find these were carried in
wide, and he is obsessed with this pair! Out of the box they looked huge (he’s a 12 wide), but he thought they felt true to size for Converse (which he feels typically run a bit
long) and of course even more comfortable than normal for him in the wide width. The white is so classic cool and looks great with so much. Perfect summer shoe. He’s also
excited to twin with our preschooler who also has white Converse. In our experience they clean up relatively well, even for white shoes. Highly recommend.

I love these! I am so happy they finally came out with a wide pair so I can wear them too. I’ve always loved the look of converse. When I was younger I tried jamming my wide
feet into the regular ones on multiple occasions but my feet always hurt like crazy afterwards. Not anymore! In my opinion it does run a little bit long, but it is so comfortable.
The only thing I would change is the sheen of the rubber. I’m not a huge fan of it being so glossy but that’s just my personal preference. Thank you for selling them in wide
now!

Fresh, clean, comfortable, casual
12 August 2024
I will start by saying I have always been a fan of the timeless Chuck Taylor. However, I never wore a pair because I always equated them with the old school high-top (sweet, timeless shoe, but I never liked the feel on my ankles). The 70's give me everything I like about the look of the timeless shoe AND feel free at the ankle. Win win. I have the white pair with subtle blue and red lines. They have become a go-to shoe for a fresh, clean and casual look. They are super convenient to throw on with shorts or jeans to run out for errands and comfortable enough for a trip to the park or a walk around the neighborhood with the kiddos. The white was a little risky, especially with young kids, but so far the canvas has stayed clean. Also, I think a little wear on the guys will just add to their character.I typically don't wear a wide, which my pair is, but the width in this shoe is perfect. I think had I gone with a regular fit they might be a bit too narrow for my comfort.... Show more

Most comfortable converse
17 August 2024
These are the most comfortable converse I’ve ever worn!!I’m a converse girl. Since high school, I’ve alternated between the converse all-star high tops and low tops (always white of course!). I know how they fit and feel, and they are comfortable. I was excited to try this new style because it looked just like my favorites that I always buy, but felt like they had a lot better cushion on the inside. This makes a difference when you’re wearing them and are walking all day. They felt super comfortable right when I put them on. The fit was roomy and the width felt great. My feet didn’t hurt at all after the first time I wore them, even though I was on my feet and walking for over 8 hours (and they did not have to be broken in either). These are definitely the most ... MoreThese are the most comfortable converse I’ve ever worn!!I’m a converse girl. Perfect Chucks
18 July 2024
These shoes are amazing! I liked the wider fit of these shoes because the outside of the regular ones seem to roll outward as I'm walking and these don't do that. They are very comfortable. The design is aesthetically pleasing to the eye with the black line that goes around the toe cap and the side of the shoe. I also like how shiny the toe cap is. The fabric of the the shoes look good and feel comfortable, and stay true to the classic converse old school style. The thing I liked most about these shoes is the softness in the sole and I just really like the look of a good Chuck Taylor shoe. I don't think there is really anything about this shoe that I would change, they are perfect for me. If anything, I'd get this exact shoe, just in a high top, so I could have both ... MoreThese shoes are amazing! Roomy and Comfy
16 July 2024
The Chuck 70 wide sneakers are my new favorite sneakers. It’s usually a toss up for me whether I need a wide width shoe or not. I definitely feel the roominess in the shoe and I like it. I find that I have to tie the laces I little tighter to get the shoe to hug my foot so my feet don’t flop up and down inside the shoe. I really like the ruggedness of the sneaker. It’s a bit different from their classics I’m used to. The sole is bulkier and sticks out a little bit from the shoe, not in an exaggerated way but enough to feel that the shoe has a sturdy quality to it. The laces are a lot thicker than the classic sneakers and I love them. They are not flimsy and knot easily. I didn’t even have to double knot the laces since my laces have a tendency to always untie. I did start to feel a little rubbing in the back of my ankle so the only thing I would like to have seen is a thicker padding right at the back of the shoe at the ankle.... Show more

These took me back!

When I was a teen the Converse Chucks used to be my go to shoe. However, I always found them to be pinchy in the toe area. The Chuck 70 Wide is my perfect solution. No more pinched toes, a comfortable fit all day long. I stand for my most of the day at my job and I found them to be flexible and fit well. The down side is that I would be okay to do light exercise in them but could not use them on a run or anything more than a brisk walk. The soles are flat and do not provide enough support for a more intense workout. However, one of the really nice things about the shoes is their clean classic look. They’re great in the Summer paired with capris or shorts. Wide converse for wide feet
13 August 2024
My family is a sneaker loving family. I have loved Chucks since childhood. After having children, my foot spread a little. Wearing Chucks meant having to go up a size to fit.I was super excited to get Chuck 70 Wide. I got them in women’s 11/Men’s 9- just like my regular Chucks. For reference, I am normally a 10/10.5 in other shoes but Chucks I am an 11 for comfort with socks. The wife’s at 11 were just too big. I even had my son who is a Chuck mens Size 9.5/10 try on my wide’s and they were pro big on him.So if you’re going from regular Chuck’s to Wide Chuck’s, I suggest sizing down at least a half size. Especially if you had been sizing up for the extra space.Comfort wise- the footbed is the same as my standard Chucks.Even though they are a smidge long but ... MoreMy family is a sneaker loving family. Wide Indeed
15 August 2024
Overall, great shoes. They look super fly. Classic and modern at the same time. Out of a collection of 3 other pairs of Chucks, these are the most comfortable. The cushion in them is surprisingly nice. They are as advertised: wide. If you have wide feet and the standard narrow shoe doesn't fit, these are for you. The biggest complaint about the shoe is that the tongue slips off to the side. Even when the laces are tightly pulled, the tongue does not stay in place. Even still, happy to wear these often and for long periods.... Show more
