Love and hate
The trainers themselves are actually really nice. I’ve never owned a pair of converse, so I’m surprised that they suit me.I bought these to use mainly at the gym, so they do the job intended.Having them in ‘Wide Fit’ is life saving for my feet. However, in the same breath, I didn’t realise they send (as recommended) half a size lower than what you ask for.I ordered a size 5 and they sent a 4.5… this would have been fine if my feet weren’t as wide as they are.Unfortunately they are still too tight against my little toes and therefore I can’t wear them for general walking or for more than a couple of hours without them rubbing quite severely against my little toes.I did not have time to return the shoes as the soles have completely come away from my other ... I will be doing next time I buy some.If you have more narrow feet and just find the regular fit of converse to be too uncomfortable (as my partner does) then I would recommend ordering your regular size.... Love them despite the tongue issue
Long time Chuck wearer. I love these shoes and they are perfect for my old lady orthotics and arch supports since they have flat bottoms. Giving four stars because the tongue is too long and it rubs the front of my ankle. I compared with an older pair and the tongues weren’t always this long so I’m not sure when they thought lengthening that was necessary but I wish they’d shorten it again. I work around it by tying the laces BEHIND the tongue to keep it away from the skin but it would be cool to not have to worry about front ankle blisters. Still, I’ve been wearing these for too long to give up on them. Would buy again, I’ll just whine about the tongue when I do.... Show more

Love the pink!!
My daughter loves Converse so I buy her a new pair for school every year. She got the light pink this year and they are so cute. Such a beautiful shade of pink🩷I was hoping it wasn't medium pink like Pepto. Comfy as usual. Last year her black pair lasted the whole year worn during the week almost every day because she ignores any other brand we buy. I'll see how long these last they are lighter in color so they might get dirty looking but I'm not above washing them plus I sprayed them with sneaker protectant especially for canvas. Definitely recommend these and the color.... Show more

Never get rid of this new mesh lining!!
I just wanted to say - NEVER GET RID OF THE NEW LINING you have put into Converse Chuck Taylors!!I am speaking of this "mesh" lining that now line the inside of the shoes, compared to the extremely uncomfortable canvas lining that these shoes used to have. Thanks to these shoes with this new mesh lining, these are literally now my everyday shoes. With the old hard coarse canvas lining, my feet would hurt after one day of wearing them, and I'd have to literally take a "Converse break" for a few days to let my feet heal. Now with these mesh linings in the Chuck Taylors - they are actually padded, comfortable, and they are a true pleasure to wear. Literally all I wear now are Chuck Taylors every single day, thanks to this minor change, but it's made all the ... Not the same. Misleading description.
I’m gonna say it’s true to size or even runs a lil small because I sized a half size down because it says this style runs large but it does not. It’s weird because I have other pairs in the same size that feel fine. I’m not sure if it’s because it’s made differently that it’s more fitted but either way. Don’t size down. And yes the material is different. The ones before, the textile feels like canvas, as it should. This one feels like felt for some reason on the inside. Not what I was expecting. But I examined it too late to return it so womp womp. Yeah it’s different. And the emblem. Something is just off about it. Maybe because it’s made in Indonesia this time instead of Vietnam. I’ll show the difference. This new one is definitely more narrow than my old one and ... The Green one is the new one. Idk I’m upset... Show more

Perfect Converse
I marked these true to size since the size chart recommends sizing down. I usually wear a 9.5W shoe and got these in a solid 9W. They are PERFECT in every way: 1. They are the most beautiful shade of a bubblegum/hot pink. 2. They are very comfortable! 3. They have the tab that keeps the tongue of your shoe in place. You know that little piece of fabric under your laces that you weave the laces through? Why do some converse NOT have that anymore? It bothers me so much when the tongue of a high top is all the way to the side. Anyways, get these shoes. Highly recommend 🩷... Show more

Reunited with an old friend.
I started wearing All Stars about sixty years ago. They were my go-to shoe except for church with my family. By the time I was fifteen I was wearing a size 13 shoe. By the time I was seventeen I was wearing a solid size 14. No more All Stars for me. I could find no place with size 14 All Stars. Years passed and the electronic revolution took full hold. On a whim recently, I ventured onto shoe store websites but alas no size 14. Then the ephifany. Cheque the Converse website. And there they were, size 14 All Stars. I immediately ordered two pair and waited with great expectations for their delivery. When they arrived I was greatly pleased. The exact same shoe I remembered and they fit. Stitching in the back
I have always loved the way Converse look but they have always been so narrow! I don't normally need wide width shoes but the regular sizing was too narrow for me. I decided to order the wide width on these in white and I love them! They're so cute! But they do run long. I am normally a 7 or 7.5 in shoes and I ordered those sizes here (they say to size down, but I figured the 7 would fit). The 7s were comfortable but still too long so I ordered the 6.5. Length was perfect but the heels were rubbing when I tried them on and I noticed that the 6.5 had stitching in the inner back of the heel that the 7s and 7.5s didn't have. I considered contacting Converse to see if they have any 6.5s without that stitching but didn't feel like dealing with the hassle so I just kept ... Very narrow!
If you have normal width feet like I do, you probably don't want to listen to the web site recommendation to go a half size down. They are ridiculously narrow. I wear a 5.5 in sandals and flats and a 6 in sneakers, since I wear socks. The 5.5s were WAY too narrow, and I've never had an issue with shoes being too narrow. The 6s are better, though almost on the edge of being too narrow still. And even looking right down at the toe box, it even looks too narrow for the rest of the shoe. I also tried a 6.5 but they fit like the 6s, just longer. I have to say these were much better fit-wise 20-30 years ago. And if you read all the complaints about people saying these run too narrow, you'd think they'd change something...... Show more

Wow, new Chucks are garbage
I bought my Chucks in March 2023. Nine months later, in December, the inside canvas has worn down to expose the plastic bits in the heel of both shoes. I work from home and spend my entire day in house shoes. When I go for walks, I wear different walking shoes. These shoes have had subjectively little streetwear and as evidence, the soles are still in near-perfect condition. The construction inside the shoe is apparently absolute garbage now.Now here's the part that makes me really mad. I buy really good socks, and I take incredible care of them so they last forever. The plastic that is now exposed inside both shoes has damaged nine pairs of socks because I didn't notice they were rubbing until after a few weeks.
