Coolaroo 25kg Granite Market Umbrella Base — Square

We bought this option as it was the heaviest base available. However the shape and relatively small diameter are not all that stable, and the umbrellas can blow over in a light to moderate breeze. Next time we will select one with a larger base. It seems that heavier is not always better.

Can't wait for summer! The silver and grey granite are so stylish; it really has that Wow factor. It is very well designed and even at 30kg it is easily moved around, and we can rest assured that it won't topple over.Looks far better than pictured, arrived promptly and packaged in its own wooden crate.This is a forever piece, love it.

Really solid and well made granite umbrella base with stainless steel fittings. It looks good and is heavy enough to hold the umbrella firmly.Assembly instructions were clearly written. Very happy with this purchase.

Fantastic product. The granite looks gorgeous and chic and does not get hot from the sun. Very heavy, easy to assemble and compliments my pots. I'm thrilled.

Can’t re-use base for new umbrella

No problem with the design and look of the coolaroo granite base but when it comes time to replace the old umbrella the old 48mm umbrella pole cannot be extracted from the stainless steel tube upright of the granite base. It seems the timber pole of the umbrella has swollen over time and gripped tightly within the metal tubular base and for the life of me will not let go despite many attempts, requiring the purchase of a whole new granite base at $69 when the old one was quite fine to re-use with a new umbrella (if only I could get the old umbrella out!). This has happened twice now and is most annoying and frustrating. Excellent product - very well made

I am impressed with the quality of this product. It is very well designed and nicely constructed. I expect that it will be very durable as all the components are either granite or stainless steel.

Good looking stand - pls check your umbrella pole is not larger than 48.0 mm

Nice looking stand.I note that my 48 mm diameter umbrella pole had to be shaved / sanded down a little as the grub screws protrude into the clear space and the tube is a very exact 48 mm. This was ok as it was a timber pole - if it was metal than the base would not have worked out.

Great product

Nice piece of granite, beautifully polished, no fault lines. A well made and designed item.The only 'bad manufacturing' was the counter-bored hole on the underside which had a rough finish; the washer wouldn't sit flat. So I chiseled it flat with a small (4mm) chisel. Then fitted a much bigger washer (3 x 50mm) than supplied. Threw away the spring washer and small rubber washer. In summary, a bit of DIY needed, but otherwise I love it.

People. Don't think of saving a few dollars on some cheap option. This is a quality bit of kit. Well engineered, aesthetically pleasing and includes several adaptors for differing diameters of brollies. Stainless steel and polished granite. Heavy and stable. *chef's kiss

Very good quality

I found this to be the best quality umbrella stand at the best price compared to many other online sites. The stainless steel fittings and granite base make for a durable product with a high quality finish. It is very heavy providing a stable base to the umbrella. I don't believe I will ever have to replace this item. Very happy!
