The blades are sharp and cut well. However, the handle broke while cutting a limb. The limb was toward the upper end of the rated size, but I didn't expect these name-brand loppers to break. I've used a lightweight bargain-brand extended-handle lopper for years and have definitely put as much force on them without having any failures. But, these heavy rugged-looking loppers snapped as shown in the photo.

Great tool, very easy to use and very sharp. Enjoy using it. I don't have to ask for helpto prune my shrubs and branches. Easy on the hands too.
As an 80 yr young grandmother, I found the Lopper an easy tool to use for cutting over grown shrubbery branches. It is rated for 1 1/2" diameter. I had good luck lopping off all the branches and some of them were slightly bigger than its rating. The cutters are really sharp and slice thru the limbs easily. The tool is well made and of good quality Materials.
This is a good quality lopper. The gel comfort grips are easy on the hands. The extension is simple! No twisting handles and undoing nubs to get the arms to extend - just a simple clip that opens the extension. Nice, sharp blades that cut some good-sized branches. I've used some pricier loppers before, and these are just as good. I would purchase again in a minute!
Heavy duty. Hols up great. Able to trim branches up to one inch in diameter without any trouble.
I have owned several Corona loopers and pruners over the years and the blades on this pair does not match up. Have only owned a couple weeks when, while chopping up small limbs to put in trash, I extended handle to cut one that was about 1 1/2". It bound up and when I release pressure, I found that the blades had twisted so that they would not come together without damaging the edge. Was in the middle of project so did not want to take time to return, so went to the vice and straightened out and sharpened blade to finish.I like the extendable handle and easy locking mech, but apparently the extra leverage is too much for the blade part. I will not use it again for extra leverage, just extra reach.
The very first time I attempted to use this tool I was unable to finish the first cut due to the jaws not completely closing. Upon inspection, I noticed that the cutting blade was striking the opposite jaw. I found that if I forcibly snapped the jaws closed without attempting a cut, they would close but would still not cut any branches. I will be returning this tool for a refund.
For 10 years, I have used a cheap pair of loppers I got at a discount tool store. These things are heavenly in comparison. Although heavier, they are well-balanced, the extensions lock firmly in place, and they cut with an impressively small amount of force. Unlike the 2x and 3x multiplier models, you do not need to widen the handles very much to open the jaws (handy when in the thick of things), yet you still get plenty of leverage if you extend the arms.
