Bought this RAM based on the reviews here. In fact I bought two lots running in two identical HTPCs. One is running perfectly the other kept getting BSOD in the last few weeks. Tracked it down to bad RAM! It worked perfectly for about two months then kept crashing more and more frequently. The machine is set up as standard no over clocking etc. I've subsequently replaced the RAM with Corsair vengeance white - now up and running perfectly again.Would I recommend this RAM - personally NO!

I recently purchased a refurbished laptop and discovered that it was having a difficult time playing games smoothly. The games would either take a long time to load and/or there was a very noticeable lag in game play. So I removed the RAM it came with and upgraded it with two of these Corsair DDR3 and have not had any gaming problems since. I have used Corsair RAM in the past and it has never disappointed. I highly recommend Corsair RAM to anyone who is thinking of upgrading their systems memory (laptop or PC) or is planning on building their own from the ground up.

Affordable memory that took my QNAP 231TS from 2GB (funny that QNAP specifies that it is DDR3L memory in that model, when there was a 1.5V module installed at purchase) to 8GB, a clear difference is noticeable when it is allowed to work a little. Not noticed by any strangeness, at the same time there are not directly any built-in memory tests to run in the NAS either, so you have to trust that it continues to works on fine.In any case, the module was identified correctly and the NAS says nothing negative about it. Unfortunately, I don't have enough experience with Memtest to do more detailed tests.

Ordered 15 sticks for a PC room upgrade. 1 DOA. 2 further failed in the first month. 20% failure rate not good.Scan quick and easy to return/replace, though I expected better from Corsair. Wouldn't buy again or recommend the product, would use Scan again.
What can you say? - I needed to upgrade a Dell micro desktop & Corsair had the right memory stick to allow me to do so.Praise be to Corsair for manufacturing and Scan for stocking.Upgrade complete, memory & Dell working well & allowing W10 updates/upgrades to complete properly.
This is the perfect upgrade for a compatible laptop. I bought a new Lenovo Yoga 500 laptop, which came with 4GB of RAM. I decided to upgrade to 8GB of RAM and this was the perfect - cost effective yet providing perfect compatibility and reliability. There is little more than I can say besides saying the RAM upgrade was well worth it, absolutely perfect for my laptop and my uses for it and was very well priced!
Upgraded an older machine from 4 GB with shared memory to 8 GB with shared GPU memory. DDR3L was a compromise standard between DDR3 and DDR4. It was the DDR3 standard with DDR4 voltage specs. It was never really adopted too much as DDR4 picked up market share fairly quickly. DDR4 = faster speeds with lower voltage requirements thus longer battery life.
Keep in mind if you're trying to do what I just did that most on-board memory has pretty high timings. Buying splabdoo expensive super-low timing RAM won't do you any good because dual-channel controllers automatically set lower timing RAM to match the timings of the higher timing RAM. Even if you have a BIOS that lets you tweak timings, you're going to have problems trying to lower timings on the on-board memory, anyway. So get what fits and always match as closely as possible— if that's budget ram, then high-five yourself for being able to save a buck.
This Corsair Value Select RAM is working very well. I don't notice any difference from this being a 'value' brand except for the decent price. My laptop had to be upgraded for school and this upgrade made my machine work a lot better. No compatibility problems. Good endurance (I run the thing hard, 24/7) Good product from Corsair.
