It's surprisingly quiet, so it won't disturb you or those around you while you work or enjoy some late-night gaming. It’s comfortable to use, thanks in part to its ergonomic design, which ensures that your fingers glide effortlessly across the keys. The responsiveness of the keys is perfect for both casual users and professional typists alike. On the flip side, there’s no number pad, which might be a downside for some users, especially those who frequently input numerical data. However, if you're after a compact 60% keyboard, which is great for saving desk space and enhancing portability, this one's a fantastic pick. It's particularly suitable for those who prefer a minimalist setup.Additionally, the magnetic wrist rest is a fantastic extra feature, especially for those long hours spent at the computer. It offers much-needed support and comfort, reducing the strain on your wrists and allowing you to work or play for extended periods without discomfort. This thoughtful addition ensures that you can maintain productivity or gaming performance without sacrificing comfort.

The aluminum top plate and detachable magnetic cushioned palm rest make it look and feel like a premium product. Despite being a tenkeyless keyboard, it maximizes desk space while still incorporating essential function keys and shortcuts. As a user of smaller keyboards, I’ve learned to appreciate the dedicated function and arrow keys, which significantly enhance my productivity and efficiency. The customizable RGB lighting adds a personal touch and vibrancy to my workstation or gaming setup, making it not only functional but also aesthetically pleasing.Features:Beyond the customizable RGB lighting, which can be controlled down to each key, the Corsair K70 CORE TKL keyboard also boasts several other features that have greatly enhanced my gaming and typing experience. One of the standout features for me is the Corsair's new MLX Red v2 linear switches. They're pre-lubricated, which makes for smooth keystrokes and the updated stem structure ensures minimal wiggle. This has made typing and fast-paced gaming much more comfortable and enjoyable for me.Another feature I appreciate is the Multi-Function Dial in the top right corner. It's incredibly versatile and allows me to control volume, music playback, and more with ease. The two buttons to the left of the dial are also very useful. The Media Button is programmable using iCUE software, so I can customize it to my liking, and the Game Mode Button deactivates keyboard effects that could introduce latency and disables keys like the Windows button to prevent accidental presses during gameplay. I love that these buttons are cleverly positioned in an empty space, so they don't add any unnecessary bulk to the keyboard.Performance:As a gamer, I can tell you that the Corsair K70 CORE TKL is a game-changer. Its impressive 1,000Hz polling rate ensures that my inputs are registered instantly, providing me with an unparalleled level of precision and control. The FlashTap technology is pretty cool, enabling me to perform evasive maneuvers like counter-strafing and jiggle-peeking with ease, giving me a significant competitive advantage. Whether I choose to connect wirelessly via the low-latency Slipstream Wireless connection or opt for the convenience of Bluetooth, I can trust the K70 CORE TKL to deliver a seamless and responsive gaming experience every time.Battery Life:I’ve been thoroughly impressed with the battery life of the Corsair K70 CORE TKL keyboard. Corsair claims you can get about 890 hours of Slipstream Wireless use on a single charge with RGB lighting off. That’s pretty outstanding compared to other wireless gaming keyboards I’ve seen on the market. I’ve been loosely tracking my hours of use throughout work and gaming sessions, and that claim seems pretty spot on. With RGB lighting on at 100% brightness, you’re looking at around 35-40 hours based on my experience, a significant reduction but in line with other wireless RGB keyboards.----- WHAT’S IN THE BOX -----1 x K70 CORE TKL Wireless RGB Mechanical Gaming Keyboard1 x Detachable Magnetic Cushioned Palm Rest1 x Braided USB Type-C Cable1 x USB Wireless Receiver1 x Safety Leaflet1 x Warranty Card

The keys are pre-lubricated linear switch keys for wobble-free keystrokes. Made with two layers of special foam, keystroke sound is dampened significantly. One feature I particularly enjoy is game mode, which when activated, turns off nonessential settings to reduce potential lag. This keyboard is also compatible with consoles including both Xbox and Playstation. The wrist cushion is so nice to have and I can’t believe this is the first keyboard I’ve had with one. It’s magnetic and therefore detachable, making for easy cleaning.ConsAt 100% brightness, the RGB lighting significantly decreases battery life to roughly 40 hours compared to 2400 hours when used only in BT mode. It also takes up to five hours to charge, and for someone who regularly forgets to plug in their electronics, this can be a problem. Although I can combat this by turning off nonessential lighting or turning down brightness, I wish the battery lasted a little longer. I also with the keyboard felt a little sturdier, but I know that would compromise on other features, so I try not to be as rough on this one.ConclusionI would recommend this keyboard for gamers at any stage, amateur to professional. It has just enough features to distinguish it from many others, but not enough that it detracts from use.

I have used wireless products (mouse and headset) for a while now but this is my first experience with a wireless keyboard, at least at this level of performance. I wasn't quite sure what to expect but have been pleasantly surprised at almost every step along the way. However, there is one glaring issue that I could not overlook in my testing - the wireless connectivity.Positives:Build Quality - As someone who has tried a number of different prebuilt keyboards (never custom build) this one feels the most premium. All of the buzz words (double layer insulation, prelubed switches) are more than just fluff. The acoustics and tacticle feedback of the typing experience on this board is phenomenal. All of the buzz words (double layer insulation, prelubed switches) are more than just fluff. The acoustics and tacticle feedback of the typing experience on this board is phenomenal. As someone who moves his keyboard around a lot, the wireless aspect is nice. At first, I was skeptical on the magnetic wrist rest (due to moving my keyboard around alot) but it has actually been really nice to be able to position away from the keyboard if needed.iCue - The customization offered with iCue is really great. The individual key LEDs and various profiles are perfect for those who want to be fully in charge of their peripherals.Cons: Really only have one "con" but it is a pretty big one. The wireless connectivity is terribly inconsistent. I don't know if this is a factor of the hardware (only a tiny USB emitter) or what but I tried both the front and back USB ports on my PC and had the same results. Simply put: this keyboard will randomly disconnect completely. I mentioned above that I move my keyboard a bit, but this disconnection has occurred when the keyboard has been completely stationary. The solution to this is simple: plug in the keyboard. However, that seems to defeat the point of the extra $50 you spend for it to be wireless.Ultimately this is a wonderful keyboard that I will continue to use as my primary. I would recommend it but would so so with caution for someone who truly wants/ needs a wireless experience.
With the growth of gaming PCs the peripheral market is constantly expanding. Corsair lives at the top of the mountain when it comes to this though and they continue that reign with this more portable and compact keyboard. There are a multitude of key features you have to highlight here:Construction and Aesthetics: Right out of the box you can tell this is a well built durable keyboard. The aluminum top plate gives it that sleek aesthetic with plenty of support. The included wrist support is a great add on here as well. I love the magnetic connections that help with the portability component that I will touch on next. I love the magnetic connections that help with the portability component that I will touch on next. Also this wrist rest does not have that odd angle and is more parallel with the surface you are working on and in my opinion gives it a much more comfortable feel.Portability: By designing the keyboard without a number pad the keyboard is extremely compact. This is great from a gaming laptop perspective when I take my gaming laptop with me as this keyboard can just as easily come along now. Additionally, when at home it gives me more desk space for my mouse when gaming so that is also a nice facet.Switches: Obviously with a gaming keyboard one of the most important elements are the keys. Here Corsair has gone with pre-lubricated MLX red v2 switches. I will say I am partial to red switches, but these are some of the best I`ve used as they are extremely smooth.Sound Dampening: When talking about the switches the other item to mention is that Corsair states that there are two layers of sound-dampening material and pre-lubricated stabilizers here to help reduce noise from the keystrokes to where this is definitely not some gimmick as there was a noticeable difference here from other keyboards I`ve used when it comes to how quiet this keyboard is to use.Connectivity: The keyboard can connect in three ways. The first being hardwired. The second being bluetooth connectivity where it can connect to multiple devices. Then the third is via a USB dongle that utilizes Corsair's “Slipstream” technology. After using both the bluetooth and the dongle I definitely am sticking with the dongle as the connection is extremely fast without any lag whatsoever. It essentially gives that feel that you are playing on a wired connection.Game Mode, Media, & Volume Control: The three unique characteristics of this keyboard by looking at it are the two buttons and dial on the upper right of the keyboard. Working from left to right is first the game mode button. This is definitely unique as hitting this button essentially reduces input lag as it turns off RGB animations and turns on performance settings. Next is the media button that by default simply acts as a play/pause button, but can be customized in the iCue app. Then lastly is the control dial which can again be customized to your preference (volume control, backlight control, scroll left/right, scroll up/down, zoom in/out) though I found I use it most for volume control.iCUE Software: Corsairs iCue app has a multitude of customization features here as always and thus I would highly recommend playing around with it. The two major items to note that I haven't already mentioned though are that it allows you to customize your RGB lighting and key remaps.Battery Life: The last thing to mention with wireless keyboard is battery life. This keyboard definitely packs a punch as supposedly you have up to 39 hours with RGB lighting enabled and up to 890 hours with RGB lighting turned off. I haven't quite hit either milestone yet, but these are definitely promising figures.Overall, Corsair continues to put out premium products as this keyboard is well-rounded in all facets as it offers excellent performance, a comfortable typing experience, and a variety of features. The compact design and wireless options make it ideal for those on the go and for smaller desks though don`t let that deter you from using it as your daily driver at home on larger desks either! The reason being that I am continuously impressed with the pre-lubricated MLX red v2 switches and I can`t get over how smooth and quiet they are. You add in all the customizability options with the iCue app and there really is nothing else you could ask for in a keyboard.

The K70 Core TDK is quieter than previous Corsair, and mechanical gaming keyboards in general, thanks to two layers of noise damping material suppressing the clicks and pings often associated with mechanical keys. The keyboard is compatible with any Windows computer regardless if you are using Corsair’s iCUE software or not.Setup:The K70 Core TDK is ready to run straight out of the box. The K70 can connect via USB with the included cable, connect wirelessly over Bluetooth (up to 3 separate sync partners), and wirelessly over Corsair’s Slipstream using the 2.4Ghz USB transmitter (included). Compatible systems include Mac OS, Android, Xbox, and Playstation. For my system, Windows automatically recognized the K70 Core and allowed it to operate like any other attached keyboard. I easily connected this wirelessly over Bluetooth to my work laptop, wired and Slipstream to my gaming desktop, and via Slipstream to my Alienware gaming laptop. I downloaded the latest version of iCUE from Corsair on my Windows gaming desktop so that I could update the firmware of the K70 and the USB adapter. The latest software also supports the K70 Core. All of my pre-existing Corsair gaming profiles, RGB, configurations, etc… from previous Corsair keyboards loaded find and were fully compatible with the K70 Core.Profiles:I have several pre-existing gaming profiles as well as several theme profiles I downloaded from Corsair’s website that are all compatible with the K70. My personal profiles include Type Lightening with a static backlight, Christmas Tree lighting effects, an Infernal Flames theme, Mechwarrior, Diablo 4, Fortnight, and several others. All of these profiles are three or more years old at this point. The K70 Core worked with them all. I really appreciate Corsair offering improvements to iCUE and their hardware ecosystem while maintaining generational compatibility. I cannot overstate enough how refreshing it is to see a company offer such longevity for their platform. It really makes moving from one generation of products to the next a no brainer for me.Typing and Gaming:I spent about a week gaming and working with this keyboard. For gaming, the keyboard is very responsive. Not once did I feel as if there was any input lag between key depression and screen response. The pre-lubricated MLX Red v2 linear mechanical switches are very smooth and easy to depress for both gaming and all day typing. For comparison, I own an older Corsair keyboard, K65 from years ago, with non-lubricated Cherry Red keys. Both the K70 Core and older K65 keys require 45 grams of force to depress. I can definitely feel the improvements that the lubrication makes. Keys are easier to depress, smoother on the down stroke and up stroke, and help to reduce typing fatigue over longer typing and gaming sessions.Speaking of fatigue, the K70 comes with a matching wrist rest. The wrist rest provide good support, comfortable, magnetically attaches to the keyboard, and looks attractive. The wrist rest surface is parallel with the table top. Meaning the surface of the wrist rest is not sloped at an upward angle from wrist to keyboard surface. Overall, I find this design more comfortable than the angled wrist rests of Corsair keyboards past. Previous Corsair keyboards also had strange connection mechanisms between the wrist rest and keyboard. This could make it awkward when picking up the keyboard or trying to pack it away quickly. The magnets make this process simple and quick. The K70 Core is as easy to game on as it is to type on. The keys have a little side to side play but nothing that impedes the linear actuation of each key. I have several pre-configured gaming profiles setup for my favorite games. These are mostly color coded game specific keys or game functions. The backlighting of the PBT Double shot caps are fantastic. This makes picking out keys in the heat of battle very easy. I work for a living which means I do not have time to memorize every game’s keyboard shortcuts, functions, features, or macros. Color coding the keyboard in glorious RGB lighting is not only incredibly useful to me but it looks amazing when gaming in low light settings.iCUE and iCUE profiles are fully available to the K70 Core when physically connected via USB cable and when connected by 2.4Ghz Slipstream. The test, I created a simple profile of dim red per key backlight with a typing lightening ripple affect that activates with each keystroke. It is a super cool effect.iCUE is not available over Bluetooth. iCUE does have memory for up to five, 20-layer profiles that are accessible when the keyboard does not have access to iCUE. There are also several pre-programed lighting effects programmed into the K70 Core for those times that you do not with to use a custom profile. Finally, Corsair finally made some much needed improvements with their hardware profile editor. It is much easier to use and much easier to move software profile effects to hardware. The caveat is that the hardware profiles can only support 20 layers where iCUE can support many more. To program and upload K70 Hardware profiles you must be connected to the computer via USB cable. The K70 Core TDK has a dedicated gaming mode. There is a special button with a speedometer graphic next to the volume knob. Depressing the Game Mode button will activate RGB red mode, disables the Windows key, all power savings features are disabled, and the keyboard automatically resets to a 1000hz polling rate. This is a high performance, low latency mode. This works wired and wirelessly. I tried it in a few games but had to turn it off because I needed my pre-programmed color profiles to survive my game sessions. However, if you are a high performance gamer, meaning you don’t need the crutch of a keyboard map, then give this a shot. Reducing processing for profiles, non-gaming function keys, and increasing polling rates means the keyboard can exclusively focus on your input without distraction from other non-essential keyboard functions.Noise:Mechanical keyboards loud, and often obnoxious, clicking noises were novel years ago. Today, they are just plain annoying. I am so incredibly happy that Corsair is finally making a serious effort to dampen the noise of their mechanical keyboards. The K70 Core comes with two separate layers of noise damping. The unnecessary noise of high performance keyboards take notice! Your days are numbered. The alphanumeric keys are very well damped. If I were an keyboard audiophile I would describe the sound as dull and uniform across all keys. Which is a good thing. However, the fatter keys like the tab, shift, backspace, and shift keys have a higher pitch and are a bit louder. But not distracting or bothersome. The space bar, however, makes an audible clunk when depressed. I found this distracting as a daily driver for work and, well, writing product reviews. This is not an issue for gaming since I am generally wearing headphones and communicating via voice. The keyboard, in these situations, is limited to keyboard commands. Not the rhythm associated with adding spaces between each word I type. This is also not an issue when I have the music turned up loud. However, it is very distracting when typing on quiet keys in a quiet room; which describes my workday.Final Thoughts:With the exception of the space bar’s audible clunk, I think this is a fantastic keyboard. The size is just right for my desktop space. The keys are stable and easy to depress. RGB is fantastic. Wireless flexibility is great. Corsair improved their hardware profile editing features in iCUE to the point that it is now useable by us common folk. And the addition of wireless connectivity across multiple platforms using either Slipstream or Bluetooth, with the inclusion of a gaming mode, is just icing on the cake. The battery life is rock solid with either RGB on or off. The multi-function knob, which I did not discuss, has some really neat features that are worth checking out. There are several onboard, pre-programed RGB profiles for those who just want a cool looking setup without much effort. Overall, I think it is a great keyboard. If you are looking to get out of the world of super loud keyboards, then you may want to check out the Corsair K70 Core TDK. I hope you found this review helpful.
This Corsair keyboard is an absolute treat to type on. The keystrokes are silky smooth, but still provide that satisfying pushback you expect with a mechanical keyboard. The sound-dampening design significantly reduces keystroke noise. However, it's still louder than a non-mechanical keyboard, though not deafeningly loud. As someone who works from home, I often have to type very softly during work calls to avoid comments about the noise. This keyboard is going to help solve that issue.I currently have the Corsair M75 mouse and was excited to combine both the keyboard and mouse to a single receiver using slipstream technology. This keyboard is going to help solve that issue.I currently have the Corsair M75 mouse and was excited to combine both the keyboard and mouse to a single receiver using slipstream technology. Unfortunately, I was unable to make this work. I suspect the keyboard needs an additional update before I'll be able to pair the two devices. Inside the iCue app, the two devices say they are connected to the single slipstream receiver, but in reality, the keyboard would not work when paired to the same receiver as the mouse. The Flashtap technology is fascinating, and I can't wait to use it more when I switch to a game where I can utilize it. Basically, you can press two keys and designate which key gets priority, creating a key sequence. The iCue app is informative and useful, but can also feel a bit clunky at times. I love that I can monitor my computer vitals and add widgets for my graphics card, etc. However, I struggled with getting the app to size correctly on my 49” ultra-wide monitor and couldn't find any settings to change the window size, creating some odd scrolling issues. The keyboard itself is an amazing device. It screams quality and has a great weight. The supports are incredibly sturdy, wide, and won’t slip around the desk. I love the option to use either hardwire, slipstream, or Bluetooth. The size of the board feels compact but is full-sized at the same time. Overall, a really great keyboard.
The Corsair K70 Core TKL Wireless is a solid choice for those wanting to cut the cord and clutter on your desk, and also for those who have moved gaming to your living room. Powered by Corsair's iCue software technology, you're allowed a huge amount of customization, from per-key lighting to the performance of the keyboard itself. A dedicated game mode button is handy for those who want to quickly turn off RGB animations and turn on the performance features, and the Corsair MLX V2 switches are some of the best - and quietest - linear switches I've ever used.Unboxing and setup:This is packaged well, very presentation-like in how the box is done. You'll also find basic instructions and warranty/legal literature in the box.Setup and use:You don't have to install iCue if you don't want to. I only have iCue because I already have more items in the Corsair ecosystem in my computer. iCue is iCue and I'm not allowing it to change the rating of the keyboard hardware, but certain setups will have more problems with iCue than others. If you're going to use this keyboard wirelessly, I suggest plugging the receiver into a USB port not directly by your Wi-Fi antennas for the computer. If you're doing a living room setup, use the front or top USB ports to help with signals with the receiver. This keyboard can also be wired. Just connect the USB cable between the laptop and your computer, and you're good to go.Both the wired and Corsair Slipstream wireless support 1000Hz polling. Where the typical keyboard checks for keypresses between 125 and 250 times per second, Corsair gives you the option for up to 1000 checks per second. Finally, Bluetooth connectivity is an option. While Bluetooth doesn't support the faster gaming modes available, like 1000Hz polling, it's still a perfectly usable keyboard in this regard and I notice almost no difference in performance. You can also pair with up to 3 different Bluetooth devices, so it's the one keyboard that can rule your phone, your tablet, and your laptop along with your PC.The included wrist rest is a very nice touch. While I prefer to play games on the couch these days, I did try the keyboard at a desk and found the wrist wrest made the keyboard so much more comfortable to use that way. What didn't I like? The lack of a USB-C to USB-C cable included in the package. If I wanted to use this keyboard wired with my laptop or tablet, I had to get a dongle for that connection. For what the keyboard cost, this should have been standard (or a USB-A to USB-C adapter and a USB-C to USB-C cable for that matter). All in all, though, the Corsair K70 Core TKL WiFi is the best keyboard, period, I've tested in a while. While I'm still a bigger fan of clicky keys, this is already proving to be a great option for my living room.
I wish I was joking when I say this, but the truth is that my favorite feature of this keyboard is the wrist pad that it comes with. With a keyboard this thick with keys so large, having a solid palm rest is critical to long use sessions and Corsair provides a remarkably comfortable palm rest. An added bonus is the small magnetic grip that the palm rest uses to stay in place and alined with the keyboard. I’d buy this thing just for the palm rest! The keyboard itself is smooth and responsive to the touch and I enjoy the mechanical clicks and clacks as I type reminiscent of my 6th grade type-writing class, though softer thanks to the dual-layer sound dampening.Tenkeyless. What a great word. I’ve been walking around all day asking people if they have used a Tenkeyless. Most are perplexed by the word.I had to look up its meaning and I think I’ve found my new perfect keyboard size. The word describes a full-size keyboard layout without the number pad, typically referring to having 87 or 88 keys. Love it.Other attributes of the keyboard is the ability to toggle between USB-C connected, Wifi or Bluetooth based on the type of device you are connecting with. The keyboard supports all manner of different platforms. I’m not sure why I would want to connect a keyboard to an Xbox or a Playstation but with this keyboard you can. I’m still old school in my belief that Consoles get Controllers and computers get keyboards.I have not had enough time with the keyboard to understand the value of pre-lubed linear switches and I hope that’s something that will become evident a year from now after heavy use with the thing. This is definitely my primary keyboard for the foreseeable future, you should check it out!
This new version of the Corsair K70 Core TKL Wireless RGB Mechanical Gaming Keyboard is sleek and smooth. The design is minimalistic being tenkeyless, making for ease of use both with a computer or if using with a console the size is lap friendly and easily put off to the side if needed. The keys use Corsair MLX Red linear switches which are smooth, easily pressed with minimal effort with subtle sound to allow for the click to be heard/registered but rather light and not over powering. This allows for a beautiful tactile response but not overstimulation with sound which my wife greatly appreciates. This allows for a beautiful tactile response but not overstimulation with sound which my wife greatly appreciates. The keyboard can connect either by USB connection (which allows it to charge), wireless to device with USB dongle or Bluetooth. I personally have chosen to leave my USB connected to not have to worry about charge with the computer, but the USB dongle and Bluetooth allow for pairing with either XBOX One/X/S or PS4/5.Wireless connection with USB or Bluetooth. The dongle has a holder spot in the back of the keyboard so that it does not get lost when not in use.A newer feature to this model is the right corner dial. This can be togged through functionality using FnF12 and a few different features can be set. I have gone with volume, RGB lighting and zoom. I enjoy having the dial as it is a nice touch and quick to use. Beside the dial is a Game Mode button that activates a gaming mode that can have locking features set (for instance Microsoft button off or Alt F4) which are customizable through the iCUE software. There is also a iCUE symbol button that can be macro'd if desired.Being a wireless keyboard allows for versatility in use along with easy of positioning and decreased wire burden; and a feature of this is being able to be charged and having a battery life which means there needs to be a battery indicator. Corsair has chosen to use the enter key as the indicator for battery life. This means that the RBG light for the enter key shows either red, amber, green to denote battery life at different stages. To show this FN+Enter will display. I personally wonder why there could not have been a separate indicator light versus the key itself, but this seems to be the style of Corsair, which I can respect. Speaking of lights, the RBG colors are beautiful with dark purples, bright orange, yellows and all colors in between which are sometimes lost with cheaper LEDs. Brightness level is also robust. The K70 keyboard uses CORSAIR iCUE software for customization. The software is easily obtained via their website. After installation, I found that I had to reboot the iCUE software once to get it to recognize the keyboard, which then easily installed firmware upon my approval. The keyboard has a Hardware Mode and a iCUE Software Mode that will active if iCUE is active/running on a computer and keyboard is wire connected. FN+ various number keys allows for cycling through default hardware lighting without need for iCUE. FN+F2 allows switching through preset profiles when in Device memory mode which can be customized through iCUE with great options of lighting, key mapping, control dial and performance options. I love having the device memory mode, because it allows for customization to be set up and used with any other device. Macros included. The biggest complaint I have for the keyboard is the battery life indication being the enter key, which if that is my biggest complaint they have done something right. This K70 is compact, lightweight and smooth. In addition to the keyboard there is also a soft wrist wrest included that allows for hours of comfortable, non-carpal tunnel inducing gaming. Very happy with this versatile device.
