I've always been a fan of Corsair PSU's and the RM850 is the best value for money, not much more than the 650 and 750W models and offers more upgradability in the future.Even if you don't use cable extensions the stock cables look nice and are user friendly for cable management.

I was very pleased to see that NewEgg pays to the cost of the return shipment of the defective unit. It was also a pleasant surprise to see that they also provided you with the ability to print your shipping label. I would have given this unit 5 stars if the first one had performed like the replacement unit. However, I have been buying items from NewEgg for years and I can count the number of defective items I have received on one hand so it is very rare that you receive a defective item. I like buying these factory refurbished power supplies because you get a break on the price and end up with a quality product. I would not hesitate to purchase another one from NewEgg.

I am usually apprehensive about buying refurbished products, many manufacturers just push them out the door without verifying their quality and functionality. It turns out my fears were unfounded. This power supply has been nothing but a reliable performer for the last month, had all the cabling i needed to connect everything in my PC and is backed by a 1 year replacement warranty from the manufacturer. Give it a shot, you literally have nothing to lose. Edit1: 2 months in the power supply started to fail. contacted Corsair support and informed them that the fan didn't work on the supply and it was not putting out reliable power. sent it in at basic shipping rates of about *half* of what the unit actually cost. received it back in a few weeks, all new smelling. ... MoreI am usually apprehensive about buying refurbished products, many manufacturers just push them out the door without verifying their quality and functionality. Edit2: 1 month later: Power supply fan is not working again, and the unit gets exceptionally hot during gaming. Submitted another RMA request, but i'm not sure if i want another garbage unit. I have asked if i can upgrade to a better quality unit, but i'm not holding my breath. Additional note: If you *have* to RMA this unit, make sure you keep the original box/cabling. they will ask you to ship the unit with *all* of the cables and the original power cable, and it is easier to ship it in the box that it came in. don't expect it to be cheap to send it back.

So I received the PSU and, after installing everything, the PC just would not turn on.After a lot of troubleshooting (including buying a new MB because I though the PSU was DOA), in the last minute before I ask for a refund, it was found that one of the SATA cables was defective, and probably Short-circuiting to the case or between the cables. This made the safety system of the PSU to abort any power supplying. Just replacing the cable solved the issue, but it costed me a new MB....
Never skimp on a power supply, it will prolong the life of your other components - ALWAYS pay for gold rated, its worth the extra 40 franc. Its like paying for trash tyres on your car, or not putting good brakes in your car. You wouldnt do it right? Dont forget the brakes on your PC either. This power supply ticks all the boxes and does not break the bank.
This has always been a good power supply. I bought this one for my latest all white build. The biggest issue is that the cable are pretty ordinary. They may be white but they are pretty ugly. You will need some sleeved cables if you care what your build looks like.
Ok power supply. Not all the cables were present. It did not include 3x PCI cables, but only 2x and 4 CPU cables instead of 3 CPU. Corsair have packed the incorrect number of various cables. Would not recommend if you purchase a 3080 ti as you can't power it correctly
They always say to never skimp out on a PSU and Corsair RM PSU's are always a great choice. They always work perfectly, have great build quality and are user friendly.I always personally recommend going a bit higher than needed. My 3070 Ti doesn't need an 850W PSU but with the minimal price difference between some of the RM units it's always worth going more just for future upgradability.
This is my second refurb Corsair PSU from Newegg. I'm hoping this one is as good as the first. Update: not as good as the first. After two months, unit will not power on. I'll have to go through the RMA process. Update #2: RMA process was simple enough, a reasonable online help center is available to track the progress. If you have to do this, make sure you keep up with the peripheral cables and packaging. They're going to want all of this returned with the unit. 3 eggs because I had to return it.
Recently did some upgrades, was well within the PSU's designed operating specifications. the old PSU was not getting enough juice to the GPU anymore it was supporting a very power-hungry version of a GTX 1060 for a few years. had some strange pink bars with snow run down the screen with a high voltage electrical hum, some performance issues. so I picked up this 850W unit which is also 80+ gold rated. the system is far more stable than before and the strange hum is gone. also had some coil whine that i thought was the rtx2070 turns out it was the old power supply. Warrantying the 650W for a future build. I am only running a single CPU/GPU setup on this power supply I am feeling confident this will last its warranty period, it feels quality, looking inside PCB looks ... MoreRecently did some upgrades, was well within the PSU's designed operating specifications. the old PSU was not getting enough juice to the GPU anymore it was supporting a very power-hungry version of a GTX 1060 for a few years. had some strange pink bars with snow run down the screen with a high voltage electrical hum, some performance issues. so I picked up this 850W unit which is also 80+ gold rated. the system is far more stable than before and the strange hum is gone. also had some coil whine that i thought was the rtx2070 turns out it was the old power supply.
