Corsair RMX Shift Series RM1000x White Power Supply

Bought some time ago but haven’t made the swap yet. Aesthetically very pleasing, with the new type 5 cables and connectors to the side.edit: easy as pie. The side connectors made everything SO much easier! And it freed up additional space where the cables would ordinary protrude from - now everything is shunted to the side, where it flows more naturally, since the cables have to be routed through the side anyway.Check your case for compatibility. This is one of those ‘why didn’t they think of it sooner’ innovations. A very easy to use modular PSU. Simple. Clean. And the new type 5 cables are smaller too.

good power supply i like the new cables and side position. just watch with corsairs compatibility list as my corsair 680x case is listed as compatible but that was only after i removed the hard drive bays which is both the 3.5 and 2.5 hard drives as the cages are connected together so good job i just use m.2 drives

Corsair RM1000x

I put this new PSU in a Fractal Design Meshify 2 Compact case and it works, but it gets cramped. According to the official website, the box must be at least 210mm wide so that it is not cramped at the back to accommodate the power supply cables. My chassis is just 210mm wide. Otherwise it works as it should.

Pros: Much easier to access the ports on the side, quality is great, included cables are decent and of good length. Fits nicely in my Fractal Design Meshify S2.Cons: It's expensive, which I understand as it is a new design. But this seems like it will be the case with all ATX 3.0 power supplies for a while.

Great and reliable PSU

Overall a great PSU but a few things to keep in mind - aftermarket cables are not available as of yet as it has PCIe type 5 which is smaller than type 4; also the connections coming from the side instead of the back may not work in all PC cases. Great thing is that it includes a cable for RTX series 4000. Cablemod is working on them and Corsair’s website lists aftermarket cables but they’re not yet available

Great power supply for new graphics cards with well known Corsair quality.

Great bit of kit, I picked this up as I'm upgrading to newer graphics card with the new style 12VHPWR plug and this PSU has native support for that.Along with the well known Corsair quality, this unit has all of the modular plugs to the side which makes things much easier to plug in and cable manage, I currently use the Corsair 7000D case and this is the perfect pairing.I likely won't need a new power supply for a good few years now but I wouldn't hesitate to buy one again if needed.

Plenty of juice and it

Plenty of juice and it seems pretty quiet and stable so far. The modular cables are nice, but they're quite thick at each end so it can be difficult to bend them and get them how you need them to, especially if your case is like mine and doesn't have a lot of room behind where the PSU goes and where the cables would get plugged in.

Quiet power supply

Nice quiet PSU. Bit of a pain plugging black cables with black connectors into the black holes in the black power supply but you only have to do it once.This comes in two versions with different cable orientations, check you buy the right one!

The Right Power Supply

This was the perfect power supply to round out my new 'white' tower. Plenty of power, nice modular design, and ample ventilation. And, the price was right at B&H.
