Again, long story short - with XMP enabled the RAM reports in the system as having a max bandwidth of 2133MHz. When I enter the bios and manually set the RAM speed to 2666MHz; the system starts as normal and still reports max bandwidth of 2133MHz. I don't know that these few MHz of bandwidth make any significant difference - but why if the item is described and sold as capable of something - does it then not perform at that level. Again I digress. I removed the 2 new sticks of RAM, booted the system and everything runs/reports as normal (ram reporting with max bandwidth of 2666MHz) removed the old RAM installed the new RAM and the system reports the full 16gb but at the max bandwidth of 2133. Very confused, disappointed and frustrated with this order and the item recieved. Maybe I just dont know how to work some setting or I'm doing something wrong but at this point I feel I've already gone further and done more than anyone should have to; to make a product work as it was clearly advertised. Absolute bottom line of it all I do not and would not recomend this product.

I love that the clock speeds are obtainable right out of the box with motherboards that support the speeds and that it is compatible with slower clocked motherboards at the loss of the clock speed advertised. All memory is running at the manufacturers advertised speed of 2666mhz, and this was straight out the box. Some memory requires fiddling with to get this but not these Corsair sticks. Unless you are an avid very very high end gamer 2666 is pretty much the sweet spot for memory. My machine is pretty good at game playing but of course it's about lots of other things too that makes good gaming happen.All in all, it's brilliant memory and Corsair has a very good reputation for producing reliable stuff. I've used it in lots of machines without ever encountering issues.

Unit was shipped back to Dell and a new one came and worked fine until the first Bios update was installed whereby it bricked the computer and a Dell approved tech came out and replaced the motherboard. While this computer(s) works fine when it finally worked, trying to get this thing to accept ram has been problematic beyond its life history. I bought ram that was spec for spec the same as the 16gb of installed ram and it refused to accept it. I did this twice adding another brand to go with what was installed. The GSkill modules are 32gb (16 x 2) so they ought to stress the memory controller even more. So it can't be said that the CPU is holding this RAM back. Best I can achieve is DDR4-3066 at the stock 16-18-18-36 timings. I tried tightening timings at 3066 via Typhoon Burner & Ryzen DRAM calculator to no avail. I've rarely used Corsair RAM in the past (I've built hundreds of PCs) because of the price premium, but these were comparable in price to others so I purchased based on Corsair's reputation as a premium brand. Pretty disappointed and will stick to the usual Gskill, Mushkin, Team Group, ADATA and others that I've had flawless results with. FWIW these are reported to be Samsung B-die in Typhoon Burner. Must be a garbage bin is all I can figure. Debating whether or not to return them to Newegg, the integrated GPU on this chip needs all the RAM bandwidth it can get. I paid for DDR4-3200, it should work as such considering another brand works fine.

It was plug and play. So easy, and it made such a significant difference in some of my games, forza specifically. The reason I was compelled to get more ram was because forza horizon 5 was a stuttering mess even at the lowest setting. As soon as I started the game with my new additional 8gb of ram, it ran perfectly smooth 60 fps at high graphics, and 40-60 fps at ultra. Ive seen the game use upwards of 11gb before, so Im glad that I have the extra headroom in ram to give the game space to do its thing. Really fun game btw. So I sent a ticket to support explaining all of this and asking for a replacement, since these are lifetime warranty, as most kits, but 10 days later and still no answer, which is just ridiculous. I even sent the support ticket with the copy of receipt/bill, and pictures of the labels on the sticks, as that's what it says to do for easier and quicker processing (this is NOT an RMA form, this is simply a support ticket), but nothing. Sent them a second follow up about a week after first posting, asking what the status on my support ticket was, and still no response. I mean, not even a thing asking me to troubleshoot (though I've been building close to a decade now, and while not a professional, I know quite a bit about troubleshooting and isolating hardware. It's certainly the memory that's the problem), or hey we're super busy, but we will get to your request when we get to it, NOTHING. I really need another memory kit for something I'm working on right now, and this would've been an ideal solution. It's not like this kit was just sitting around doing nothing, but I digress. 10 days w/out a single response, even an automated one to let me know they will get around to it, is unacceptable from a company like Corsair. I talk to EVGA or Asus, and I get a response within a couple days, every time. Even Asus, who arguably has some of the worst customer service I have ever had the pleasure of experiencing, at least gets back to me, the customer, in a timely fashion and lets me know that I'm not being thrown/tossed aside or ignored. Cannot recommend to buy this memory, as though they are lifetime warranty, it's kind of hard to RMA if it's going to take a couple weeks or longer for them to simply respond to a support ticket.
