Cos De BAHA S4 Salicylic Acid BHA 4% Serum 30ml

I'm a regular user of Paula's Choice 2% BHA Liquid. I want to try a higher percentage of salicylic acid to combat the clogged pores and blackheads on my oily combo skin. I was initially wary that this high percentage might irritate my skin if i apply twice a day (like what i did with PC BHA). To my surprise, this formulation is very gentle on the skin. It does not dry up or irritate my skin. It even feels hydrating probably due to the high aloe vera content (first on the ingredient list). It is also accompanied by the powerful skin soothing duo of Artemisia and Green Tea. I appreciate the addition of brightening Niacinamide in the formulation as well. The texture is clear viscous liquid. The only downside, it creates white milky texture when you swirl this on the skin. But it will shortly get absorbed by the skin leaving no greasiness/tackiness. I apply twice a day, concentrating on my t-zone and large pores area.

I am 37 years old. I was intrigued to find this product since most salicylic acid serums contain only salicylic 2% and the expectation is that a high percentage won't really work better. I have found that to not be the case with this serum.While I was enjoying using the ordinary's 2% salicylic serum on my breakouts, this one works better and faster. The formulation is not drying and non irritating, so using this once a day on the areas with breakouts is completely fine. It is an excellent formulation and the included niacinamide which helps with balancing sebum production as well as brightening the skin is a bonus.
