One would need to sniff it properly to smell it.The consistency of this is lightweight, refreshing, & non-tacky on the skin. Also, I like how this is fast to be absorbed & sinks easily too. Since this is an exfoliating toner, I would first spritz it on a cotton pad until it’s fully soaked & gently swipe it across my face.This provides mild and gentle exfoliation care w/o causing any irritation to my skin even if I have active acne. I also noticed it helps slough away my sebaceous filaments, especially on my chin area. Besides this, considering this is an exfoliating toner it didn’t cause any drying to my skin but rather it was still able to provide ample moisture. 💦Aside from using it on my face, I also used it on my body acne as well and so far so good w/ its gentle exfoliation. I love several other toners and essences from CosRX so wanted to give a bottle of this a go as I do have sensitive acne and blemish prone skin.This was unfortunately super drying for my skin, ironically as the most watery toner I've ever tried, and it did not suit my dry skin type at all - I normally use toners to hydrate my full body's skin before moisturizing, and this just left me so dry that even following with a moisturizer I love and trust was noticeably feeling a lot less soft and I felt dry again much quicker. I tried to make this work by trying every body moisturizer I had, but it just wasn't working. I still have FA flare-ups here and there because FA just cannot give me a break, but this does great in reducing bumps on my forehead and cheeks where it flares up the most. I suggest you ask for extra caution in order details.As for the product, it's a nice daily toner. It slightly improved my acnee scars and doesn't leave my skin dry. I used it at night before la roche posay effaclar duo and CeraVe lotion. It was okay at first, but a few days later I started feeling my skin burning. It does say on the CosRX website that you shouldn't use it with other acids and maybe la roche posay contained some. I moved it to my morning skincare routine before the CosRX snail essence and snail cream and haven't had problems. Works super well. Great for body acne, less effective for face

I've been using this product for about a month now. I tend to get breakouts on my arms and shoulders, and I haven't noticed any new breakouts on those areas since using this toner. However, I was really hoping this toner would be more effective for my face. I believe that this toner may be assisting in fighting my hyperpigmentation. However, I have gotten a few breakouts and am experiencing purging since switching to other cosrx skincare products (obviously purging is normal).My three biggest skincare concerns are hyperpigmentation, oily skin/large pores and acne. It's not a horrible product, but I want something that can help address all three of those things. Overall, I'd give this product 3.5/5 stars.

Also, MAKE SURE TO USE SUNSCREEN! it makes your skin very prone to burning and i thought well how bad can it really be? well i burnt my skin after sitting outside for half an hour in very weak sunlight so yeah just use suncreen.

Maintenance for Fungal Acne!

I have very sensitive skin that is prone to dehydration. This has been a life safer for the insatiable itch I've been currently experiencing due to FUNGAL ACNE! :( I soak a cotton pad and leave it on to the most itchiest parts (as well as spray everywhere on my face) and it calms the itch after all the toner has been absorbed! I use this multiple times a day and night as needed without irritation. This toner is very gentle. I tested the ph around 4.5 if I remember correctly. Fungal acne doesn't like acidic ph AND this product does not contain any ingredients that it may feed on. It feels sooo refreshing, hydrating on a HUMID day (has panthenol) and slightly sebum reducing on a normal, non-humid day.
