This sunscreen contains 50 ml (1.69 oz) and has a noticeable aloe scent. The sunscreen has a thicker consistency and looks more like a mineral sunscreen. The texture of the cream is very nice, it's light and creamy. The finish is very dewy and luminous and due to it being a hybrid, it does a good job of evening out the skin tone. There is some flashback as there are mineral filters in this product, so it may really stand out if you have darker skin. What I don't like: I really do wish this sunscreen had higher protection and the fragrance could really be irritating depending on your skin and preference.

It doesn't have a white cast and works wonder on my acne prone skin. Coming from a country with extreme heat and humidity where the uv index reaches 10-12 on a daily basis and sunscreen is a must, this sunscreen can't even compare to the ones I was using before. The only thing I don't like, which conflicts a bit with what other reviews say, is that it feels a bit to heavy on my skin, especially places where I apply it thicker. It's not to the point that I can say it's clogging my pores but it does feel a bit uncomfortable, like applying a very thick cream to a face that doesn't need it. Buyer Beware on this one. I am so disappointed. It hasn’t even been a full day and I already have the worst breakout I’ve had in years all over my face from a product. I always do a patch test before I try something new so at first everything seemed fine. Once I applied this to my face, it felt moisturized and everything was going great. Not even a half hour later, I look into the mirror and notice small bumps all over my face. Some red, some just raised where it almost looked like hives. I looked at the ingredients and there’s nothing I could make out that would cause this type of reaction until I saw fragrance is added. Most of my products don’t have fragrance but I have some in my routine that do have that and I never had any reaction from those. I’m not sure if ... MoreBuyer Beware on this one. I’m not sure if anyone else has experienced this but I am so bummed that after finally waiting for a restock, that this product has ruined my face until idk how long it’ll take to clear up. Just be careful if you’re thinking about picking this one up. I always had super clear, glass skin with the products I have been using that are all K-beauty until I tried this. Hoping this helps someone out. For reference this is the only new item I tried to introduce into my routine since my BOJ rice sunscreen ran out. Looks like I will be going back to my Skin 1004 again.

Pills on my skin
16 May 2024

This is probably the worst face sunscreen i've tried. Right off the bat I noticed that it was quite a bit thicker than other korean sunscreens (and even other western sunscreens i've tried), but it did rub in quite easily and didn't leave any white cast. However no matter how long I let it soak into my face, when I would rub my face it would flake off and leave patchy looking white spots. Whenever I reapplied it, it pilled on itself and I ended having to wipe off large sections of sunscreen because it looked so bad. I tried reapplying other thinner sunscreens on top of top of this one to see if that made any difference, but it still had the same result. I didn't even attempt putting it underneath foundation because I didn't want to waste time or product, but I did ... MoreThis is probably the worst face sunscreen i've tried. It also gathered in my eyebrows and I had to wipe them off every time I applied to prevent the product from leaving a gummy white film on my brows. It also didn't look great the the oilier sections of my face.

Really nice, well-formulated sunscreen

I bought this sunscreen despite it having no reviews, since the ingredients list and product description seemed to align with my needs, and since Cosrx is a reputable brand.I have skin on the oily side, and I find I can use this sunscreen without moisturiser underneath since we're in summer, and it doesn't leave any greasiness (which some sunscreens do even when I don't apply moisturiser). My skin is also prone to dehydration, but to be honest I get enough hydration from the rest of my skincare routine, so I can't really speak for the hydrating qualities of this sunscreen. I will say that I haven't felt any tightness in my skin when using this product.I imagine during the winter months, or if you have drier skin, you would want to layer a moisturiser ... MoreI bought this sunscreen despite it having no reviews, since the ingredients list and product description seemed to align with my needs, and since Cosrx is a reputable brand.I have skin on the oily side, and I find I can use this sunscreen without moisturiser underneath since we're in summer, and it doesn't leave any greasiness (which some sunscreens do even when I don't apply moisturiser). I will say that I haven't felt any tightness in my skin when using this product.I imagine during the winter months, or if you have drier skin, you would want to layer a moisturiser underneath. It doesn't smell sunscreen-y at all, though it does have a fragrance as it says in the ingredients list, but I find it quite pleasant, kind of like posh herbal-scented bar soap? I like it anyway, and it disspiates pretty quickly (~10 minutes). Obviously a bummer if you can't tolerate fragrance. It applies really well, and has a quick dry-down with no white-cast, so if you wear makeup you don't need to wait too long before putting makeup on. I don't think it has any mattifying properties, but it's not shiny whatsoever and leaves a very balanced, natural/satin finish to the skin, so it shouldn't interfere with the way your makeup looks. I don't find it necessary to powder my face with this sunscreen. Also, it sits well under makeup, although that always comes down to the formulation of the makeup you use. I use more silicone-based makeup for reference, and this sunscreen does have a silicone as the fifth ingredient. Can't speak for water- or oil-based makeup formulations. It doesn't sting my eyes, though I don't have sensitive eyes and can use most chemical sunscreens around them with no problem. Plus, everyone's eye sensitivities seem to be different anyway. It's a bit more expensive than the Beauty of Joeson sunscreen, which is the only other Korean-brand sunscreen I'm familiar with, but it's around the same price point as La Roche-Posay, Avene, or some Ultrasun sunscreens, which are the brands I usually buy from. But definitely not the most affordable option on the market, though it is really well-formulated. For me it's worth it, as it's probably my favourite sunscreen I've ever used with a very elegant formulation.Overall, I'm really happy with this sunscreen, and will definitely repurchase :)

good but finicky

This sunscreen is very moisturizing without being greasy looking or shiny. I've seen it described as matte, but I would disagree with the definition. It's definitely a natural/satin finish; it's got a little bit of a shine to it but doesn't get greasy over time. It also has no white cast even though it's very thick and white straight out of the tube. Also smells good- it smells a bit like Irish spring but softer and milder. The worst part about this sunscreen is that it's finicky about the dry-down. I think this is why it has conflicting reviews about whether or not it pills. It takes about 30 minutes to dry down, and if you eat or touch your face within that time it will pill. It will also pill if you're in the habit of rubbing your face, or if you lay it on too ... MoreThis sunscreen is very moisturizing without being greasy looking or shiny. If it were less finicky and/or a little more matte I would give it 5 stars. For now it is a solid daily sunscreen, but not my favorite.
