It’s a thick (but not ultra thick) cream, it’s not scented but definitely has a smell, not a bad one tho, it almost smells kind of herbal. But it works so well at retaining moisture, providing hydration, ceramides and works to restore my moisture barrier! I love this for a night time moisturizer! This is a cream I always have by my bedside. When I try a new product that doesn’t deliver min. 8 hrs of nighttime moisturization or when I get an itchy nose at night due to dryness in the air or allergy… having this by my bedside has been a lifesaver. It comforts the skin and keeps it moisturized throughout the night. I don’t have to worry about sticking my fingers into a jar, rather just squeeze a good amount out of the tube, apply, and go back to sleep. I have read mixed reviews about this product, the negative ones are normally associated with its thick texture, which I could understand. CosRX, PLEASE DONT EVER discontinue this product!! I have spent an abhorrent amount of money on skincare, and this takes the cake. Seriously, this moisturizer is the only one that can stand up to my Tretinoin & AHA/BHA skincare routine. It's HEAVENLY, I wake up dewy, plump and glowing. If I skip this product at night, my skin is dry and tight the next morning. If I had a con, it would be the addition of fragrance. This is marketed as a more of a soothing product, but fragrance is a known irritant for people with sensitive / eczema prone skin so keep that in mind, but it doesn't cause any irritation for me personally, just baby smooth skin the next morning. Best thing I’ve ever bought for my face.

I knew about centella Asiatica from a Dr Jart sample I received and loved, but I thought I’d try this more affordable option. Let me tell you, this stuff is pure magic. I’ve suffered from rosacea-like redness and acne prone skin for decades. I’ve tried salycilic acid, azeleic acid, vitamin c serum, so many masks… and nothing helped me. The morning after I used this cream I woke up without redness, and I’ve been using it morning and night ever since. I know this sounds like an exaggeration, but it’s really not. I just came back to the cosrx site to order more of this stuff and a couple more products for my tween age daughter’s changing skin because I know it will help her, too.

Disappointed in this one

I am a big fan of COSRX products generally, but this one was not a hit for me. I picked this up after seeing so much positive talk about it online, especially as a comparable product to the Dr. Jart+ Ceramidin Cream which I'd been using for around a year.Unfortunately, my skin just did not like this product. It caused breakouts on my forehead and generally had a negative impact on my skin texture. I wanted it to be a great product, but it just did not work for me. About two weeks into using it I took it out of my routine and my skin is back to normal. Sadly, that now means I have 95% of a tube of product I can't use. It clearly works for some people, but not for me.

Light Moisture, Great Coverage

I wanted to try this ceremide cream because it was from COSRX--and it did NOT disappoint! The Balancium Comfort Ceramide Cream has a light texture and smoothes on skin nicely, delivering the perfect amount of moisture for the day! It's a great moisturizer, especially for sensitive skin types. I use this in my morning routine after my essences and toner. The texture is very smooth and holds great under makeup! Not greasy or oily, and I haven't had any breakouts. I also switch this moisturizer out for my Klairs Freshly Juiced Vitamin E Mask at night when I want something not as rich. This moisturizer is perfect for my skin and keeps it soft! LOVE IT!!!

Lovely light moisturizer

I have normal/comby skin. I use it as a night moisturiser. It's lovely, light, and has a very subtle face cream smell to it, but nothing perfumed or overpowering at all. It absorbs very quickly and easily into the skin. Leaving satin finish behind. It doesn't feel greasy or heavy whatsoever. I'd say "comforting" is the exact word for it.I'm not sure about the cooling effect though. I did not buy it for that, but I haven't yet notice it either.I've been using it for over 4 weeks now.

I bought this as a replacement for the wonderful but sadly discontinued Cosrx, Balancium, B5 D-Panthenol Cream. Unfortunately I find this Comfort Ceramide Cream too heavy for my 47 yr old, sensitive, combination, breakout prone skin. It made my face sweat excessively and increased breakouts. It is lovely to use up on my very sensitive neck and chest area though, so it is still a valued part of my beauty supplies. I also use this occasionally at night on my temple area which can get dry, and is not breakout prone. As a better replacement for the Balancium, B5 D-Panthenol Cream I would recommend the Cosrx, Ultimate Nourishing Rice, Overnight Spa Beauty Mask. It is intended to be a mask, but I find it to be a wonderful day and night moisturiser.
