COSRX Refresh AHA BHA Vitamin C Daily Toner - 150ml

So, after my other COSRX AHA BHA toner was finished, I started this one. I have used already have a bottle and can gather my thoughts. First of all, besides this one having Vitamin C in this one, there's not that much difference between the two. A couple of first 2 week I was getting quite some purging though I am not a newbie to AHA BHA toners. But then it evened out. Now it helps me with the tone of my face, evens out the spots and takes mild care of the face. I use it by spraying directly on my face and then either spread it around with my fingers or with the cotton pad. It works good, but next time I will try something new again. I remind you to either use SPF after it or simply use it in the evenings. No scent that I can detect I love COSRX products but this one is not high on my list of favorites from them. The toner has a water consistency and is clear in color. It absorbs into the skin quickly without leaving behind a tacky or oily residue in the skin. I don’t have sensitive skin but this did cause some slight stinging for a few minutes. I saw no real irritation nor did I experience purging like many others. This is packed with ingredients for brighter skin and exfoliation, but the pH is slightly above what is considered to be optimal to effectively exfoliate the skin. The BHA is not pure salicylic acid. The formula uses two derivatives, willow bark water and betaine salicylate, and water and extract don’t work fully like BHA. With Vitamin C listed in the name you would think it would be high on the ingredient list, it’s last. With all of the above I still experienced a mild and gentle exfoliation when used once a day. My pores became more clear and this toner helped keep them that way. What I liked most about this toner is that it didn’t dry my skin out, it surprisingly gave my skin some additional hydration, and it’s affordable. I believe all COSRX products are worth a try and I would still recommend giving this a try even though it’s slightly deceiving. **Because the packaging is clear, if purchased, make sure you store it out of direct sunlight.** PROS: ✅ Saw no irritation or breakouts while using ✅ Absorbs into the skin well ✅ Does not leave skin feeling tacky or oily ✅ Gently exfoliates the skin ✅ Helped clean out pores and keep them clear ✅ Hydrates the skin slightly ✅ Affordable CONS: ❌ pH is a bit above what is listed as optimal for exfoliation to happen ❌ Advertised with Vitamin C but it’s very low on list. I didn’t see any brightening effect ❌ The BHA is not pure salicylic acid ❌ Been known to cause purging

Best Toner for Acne Prone Skin

Firstly, I love how this makes my skin feels plump and supple the next day (I use it every night). I’ve noticed that if I don’t use this the night before, I see cystic acne forming the next day. I have acne prone skin and have been using a salicylic acid toner for years which leaves my skin dry and causes my face become super oily. This toner doesn’t make my skin oily. I hope it doesn’t get discontinued or reformulated cause this is doing wonders for my skin. Love love love it

Pros:- Good Amount of product- No strong smell- Gentle start Vitamin C- Combines actives without causing irritation- Watery consistency (matter of preference)- Fine for sensitive skin- Doesn’t cause pillingCons:- Didn’t notice any brightening effects- only 3 stars because despite the pros it’s not particularly effective for either exfoliation or brightening - If it did have any results, they weren’t noticeable

This toner was my first COSRX product I've ever purchased! Great first impression to the brand. This toner makes my skin feel so refreshed and hydrated. It's such a gentle exfoliator, it doesn't leave your skin feeling dry whatsoever. This product shook hands with my sensitive, acne prone skin. My congestion and redness has really calmed down since I started using this toner. I'm omw to purchase another bottle of this!

Very gentle for sensitive skin. No scent, doesn’t smell, care and benefit after 2 hrs, feels good. I use it frequently in my personal routine. Good composition. Glad it was shipped very fast. Was concerned about the size and quality but I’m very satisfied. This brand is excellent and my new favorite.
