I bought 4 of these purifiers, and in 60 days one has completely stopped functioning. When I contacted Coway customer service, I was informed that although I bought these on Amazon, since they were not "Sold By" Amazon, but by a seller on Amazon they would not honor the warranty. Mind you I just bought from the main listing page and absolutely NOTHING said my items would have no warranty. This feels dishonest at best. So be careful WHERE you buy them from as COWAY may not hold their end.The machine itself was ok, but I can't justify an almost $200 rice tag for something that may break in 2 months and may or may not be replaced/fixed.

This is one of those purchases that made us feel real grown. Six months into having one in our bedroom, I can’t believe we thought we were breathing well before. We have two black labs who sleep in our room and all the hair, dander, and pollen that comes with. We also live in an older home and run the AC year-round. This has greatly improved seasonal allergies and sleep quality for both of us. Love that this has intuitive settings and kicks on higher when the environment demands. Never smell bacon or burnt popcorn in your kitchen again. Quiet. Easy to take care of.

As a test I have a box fan set on low with a HEPA furnace filter attached. This filter has traditionally needed to be replaced every 2 weeks as it turned grey/black in that time.Hoping that the coway would take the burden of spending $22 a month on filters (disposable) I set it up.After 2 weeks per instructions I cleaned the unit and it was filthy but not as bad as I feared - HOWEVER the boxfan with the filter at the other end of the room (12ft away) was grey, not as badly grey as before but still grey. I bought 4 of these purifiers, and in 60 days one has completely stopped functioning. When I contacted Coway customer service, I was informed that although I bought these on Amazon, since they were not "Sold By" Amazon, but by a seller on Amazon they would not honor the warranty. Mind you I just bought from the main listing page and absolutely NOTHING said my items would have no warranty. This feels dishonest at best. This has saved my life! I was waking up with a sore throat at least once a month that always turned into a sinus infection. Initially, I set this up on the most sensitive setting in my living room and then the Florida room. Nothing was detected. The light stayed blue for hours. Once I set it up in my bedroom, the light turned red almost immediately. I cranked it up and after a few hours, the light turned blue again. It now has a new home in my bedroom and is set on auto. Every now and then it will detect something and automatically crank it up until it is handled.

I had my first coway airmega for 3 months before the air quality sensor stopped functioning. I contacted the company and they had me send them videos on multiple occasions on how I cleaned the filter cleanings, adjusted the air quality sensor, cleaned the air quality sensor. After torturing me with all the video taking, they finally admitted their productive was defective and agreed to send me a new product BUT NOT before I sent back the defective air purifier. I finally got the new air purifier and 2 weeks later, I'm having the same issues with the new machine. I contacted customer service and their only suggestion this time was that I switch the air purifier to another room! Great Air cleaner! Purchased just before the smoke from Canada arrived, and bought a second one for my upstairs when we were at code Purple! It works very well. I put one in my bedroom and after I used just a little hair spray, I walked in the bedroom and the light had turned purple! A few minutes later, it returned to blue. That was during the June 8th smoke scare. Yesterday and today, June 29, the smoke is back, we are at code red, but the air cleaners are both Cowan blue!
This air purifier was purchased for a two bedroom apartment. Even though it says it only purifies the air for 361 square feet it cleans a much larger area. I keep it on the auto setting and it will detect when chemicals are used to clean the kitchen on the other side of the apartment and increase circulation until the chemicals are removed from the air. It has been especially helpful this spring in reducing pollen in the air therefore preventing any upper respiratory irritation. This purifier exceeds its own standards. Thank you for a great product.

We use the fans to clean the air when plumbers, electricians, and other workers are in our home, and use them when neighbors are using equipment and materials that pollute the air that blows through our windows on the ocean breeze.
