A 50% price increase. From $38 to $55. This equates to roughly 25% of the purchase price of the purifier to maintain it with approved filters. We have 4 units. That means $200+ minimum yearly maintenance cost for approved filters. Time to switch back to Honeywell. Great job on eliminating customers by pricing them out. Excellent business strategy.

I just installed my new filters. I have two machines. The charcoal filters are so much thinner than the original and replacements I’ve purchased in the past. I can see through them! Also they have a Strange smell, Which I don’t recall On previous changes. Quite disappointing. I purchased these here instead of off-brand replacements because I wanted quality.

I’ve had my air purifier for 2 years due to my dust allergy. During the winter seasons I’m usually the most affected due to all the windows being closed. When my constant dripping nose symptoms went away, I knew it was because of our air purifier. 2 years and it’s still cleaning our air well. It’s our yearly filter change and you can really tell the difference between our old filter and the new set we just received.

The original HEPA filter than came with my Airmega had a strong plastic/paper/resin smell that made it impossible to use the unit as it gave me a sore throat. Called Coway who said to air it out a few days. Aired it over a week in a window and it still stunk. Several days and many, many emails back and forth — in which they at first told me to send entire unit back! — they finally sent a new filter set. Unfortunately, this HEPA filter has same smell. We are sensitive to smells which is why we bought the Airmega in the first place.
The filter doesn’t last 1 year. A joke of a company to advertise that it’s safe to switch out 1x a year. I developed severe allergies about 5 months in and was wondering why my air filter wasn’t working. I took it apart a few weeks later to change it and my allergies got better. Thing is they should advertise it as such. My old air purifier did advertise to change every 3 months which i did also, it got too frequent for me so i switched to something better.I just don’t think it’s healthy to put 1 year when obviously it will definitely depend on season. I live in the suburbs with average air quality, no fires, no heavy smog or anything. Just normal air. This purifier got very dirty a few months in. I was unhappy with the product being shipped only in the display carton -- no box or even a padded bag mailer to protect the product from the normal hazards of shipping. The item arrived with the frame of the HEPA filter buckled on one side. I couldn't be sure the buckling of the frame had not resulted in damage to the filter membrane, but because of immediate need I used a strip of the frame from the old filter as a bolster for the new frame and inserted it into the unit. If I had had time I would have returned the product to Coway for an exchanage, but I couldn't afford the wait.Coway needs to use shipping boxes for products of this kind instead of relying on its flimsy display cartons for protection in transit.

And it does. We keep it on 24/7 and forget it's there as it can regulate itself with different modes based on air quality. Her allergies have improved significantly, especially on the days she works from home and when she sleeps at night.Also I just recently bought the first HEPA filter replacement kit and it's exactly the same as what comes with the original Airmega. I love my Coway Airmega 200M!I participated in an indoor air quality study in the spring of this year and I was amazed to see how well the Coway Airmega mitigated the affect of outdoor air quality on indoor air. Before the study, I had my Airmega on the auto setting and only turned it on when I was in the same room as it. Having particle meters in my house showed me that the Airmega did a better job if I ran it on medium 24/7. My breathing has been much better since this change.When there are smells that I want to disperse in a room, I run the Airmega on high until the smell is gone. I bought this air purifier at the start of the pandemic. I liked it so much that I continue to use it. For me, it is particularly helpful because the exhaust hood in the microwave above my cooktop doesn't do a great job of exhausting smoke, fumes, etc. I moved the purifier to the mudroom next to the kitchen and it is really effective in removing clearing out cooking smells, etc.I suppose I could renovate the kitchen and install a massive hood, exhausting up through another story of the house, but this was certainly less expensive! (One of the filters in this set is designed especially for odors.)
Thought I reviewed it... maybe I am giving you that fifth star... this time. It works, I know it works. The order to delivery time was good. It does the job of cleaning the air I can already tell. But when I first explored the website I was. promised a 5% discount, maybe it was 15%, I don't know. But since I did not get that (again, it could have been me) I will consider that a tip for better breathing. This little machine works.
